Hancock is a great movie for everyone. It has lots of comedy and suspense. I would reccommend this movie to all my friends and family. It is about a superhero turned homeless drunk. He tries to help catch bad guys but always gets in trouble because he messes up the city and causes a lot of damage. He meets a man that helps him get back on his feet and become the great super hero he once was. Cant tell you more might give something away just watch this movie.

Hancock was a movie that was both interesting and entertaining. It was not the kind of movie that, at first, I could see Will Smith playing. As time went on, I changed my mind. Will Smith is like Nicholas Cage. They both have to play in feel good and not so feel good parts. Will Smith plays an immortal named Hancock with amnesia. He is not a nice guy when he saves people and as a result, he is not liked. That is until he saves the life of Jason Bateman's character and that all changes.

Jason Bateman's character makes Hancock his life mission to change his image and he does it will style. In the process, Hancock becomes someone that the public can like. Everything is fine and all until Hancock meets Jason's character's wife and all heck breaks loose. It turns out that his wife and Hancock are both immortals and that they are tied together. They are unable to be together because they could die. Trouble arises when forces beyond their control conspire to kill them both.

Hancock, starring Will Smith and the beautiful Charlize Theron is a surprisingly entertaining movie. Don't expect any double layers or deep characters, but the film will definately keep you entertained for the full 2 hours, and that's basically all you want for a 'superhero' movie! 4 out of 5 for me!...

Will Smith in the movie Hancock was entertaining and a pleasant surprise. I'm generally not a big Will Smith fan but I think this comes from his his days of " Freash Prince " He's proven himself to be a talented artful actor and the more films I see him in the more I enjoy the film and his performanc....

Hancock is a great movie i give it and A+. The cast is nicely choosen the cast includes Will Smith, Charlize Theron, and Jason Bateman. The movie is an Action, Superhero movie which is great but we know that superhero movies are starting to become tottal repeats but i have to say that it is a change and it is truely a movie that you have to watch to understand that is great, Soo i would tell everyone that Hancock is the movie to watch....

Hancock is a movie that stars Will Smith who usually does blockbuster movies but this movie can be filed under bomb. I know superhero movies are not really belivable but this movies action sequences are just absurd. This superhero Hancock has not one quality that is at all remotely intresting. It is so boring I don't think I can even write a description about it just don't waste your money to rent that's how much I am telling you not to.

I SAW THE MOVIE HANCOCK IN THE THEATRE. OH MY GOSH IT, WAS FANTASTIC!!! I HAD TO RENT IT AS SOON AS IT CAME OUT BECAUSE THE ACTION WAS AMAZING. I WOULD RECOMEND THIS MOVIE TO ALL AGES. MY 2 CHILDREN LOVED IT. THE LANGUAGE IS MODERATE BUT MY CHILDREN KNOW WHAT NOT TO SAY SO IT WAS O.K FOR THEM TO WATCH....

I absolutely love Will Smith. I have been watching him since he was the star of the 90's TV series, Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I knew then that he was going to be a huge star. I even like his music. He just has that "it" factor, as Simon Cowell from American Idol would say. When I saw the previews for the movie Hancock, I knew immediately that I wanted to see it. Unfortunately, I never got to the theatre but as soon as it came out on DVD, I snatched one up and my husband and I loved it so much, we watched it twice already.

The Plot

Will Smith plays a superhero named John Hancock who is a heavy drinker with a bad mouth, a loner and not so nice to know. He is apparently the only one of his kind left on the planet. Although he does use his superpowers to rescue victims and catch thieves, he does so in such a drunken stupor that he causes thousands of dollars in damages during each rescue. The town doesn't want this kind of a hero and mostly everyone shuns him. His life takes a change of direction...

I was really looking forward to watching this movie because I love Will Smith as an actor and my family is also really into Superhero movies but once it came in and we watched it - none of us were all that impressed. He (will smith) plays the part very well but the overall concept of the movie was a little blah.... I wish that the producer could have used a little more imagination and made the movie seem a little more realistic. I now own the movie becuase I pre - ordered it but had i seen it before purchasining I never would have made the purchase....

This movie grabbed my attention from start to end. Will Smith does an awesome job performing as a cocky "superhero" who becomes loveable.

This movie also had some unexpected twists in it which was a good treat.

I would not recommend this movie for children though (although it might depend on what ht eparent would think the child could handle). There are some adult themes that I would not want to explain to my 4 year old.

I was pleasantly surprised by Hancock. I expected a run of the mill superhero movie, but the cast turned it into a real movie. The action and special effects were smooth and impressive, but I truly enjoyed the character of Hancock and the relationships that developed with the other characters. Much in like Ironman, the insight and true chracter of the superhero played an important role in the development of the movie. Hancock begins with a drunk superhero that wreaks much devastation as he "saves" the city from villans. He is an outcast in society and the movie develops from that place. There were many surprises in the movie that offered enjoyment throughout and I was surprised that I enjoyed it as much as I did. ...

To be blunt I'm not really a big comic fan that's why when this trend of turning comic books into movies occured I wasnt one to jump on the bandwagon. X-men wasnt something I could fully get, Superman even though my husband is a huge fan took me two sittings to get through and Spiderman just got plain old. The movie that dragged me into sitting down and giving comic book movies another look was Sin City it had a feeling of real which I enjoyed. So when my husband stop at the movie section in the store picked it up and said "honey let's get this." I broke down and said yes.

I love the Hancock character his smart butt side reminds me so much of my father and husband I couldnt help but love it. Will Smith has always been a great actor and he was just as wonderful in this one. The depth of a comic character that I didnt think it could have a man who wants to be a hero but rejects the society that rejects him and instead of slinking away like all other superheros do he stands around still...

This was a pretty good movie and definately worth the rental fee. I am, however, glad that I waited until it was out on DVD, I wouldn't have been as impressed if I had paid a $10 movie ticket price. I loved the character Hancock. I also thought the three main actors did a tremendous job, you really felt for them. I loved the twist with Will Smith and Charlize Theron's characters. And, it ended on a happy note, which is always a good thing. See this movie!

Will Smith, Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman play in Hancock.

Plot: When the public gives up and turns malicious on their local superhero who doesn't care about anything, Hancock (Smith), a public relations professional (Bateman) steps in to get Hancock back in the good graces of society and clean himself up.

What I thought: Hancock is funny and heartwarming. I like the actors in this movie and they make for some great characters, playing their part strong and most entertaining. The storyline is fantastic and original as far as super-movies go. It's refreshing to see a movie about a superhero without a super-villain, but I guess in this case Hancock is kind of like the bad guy. If Hancock had super-powered villains then it would just be another movie about good guys and bad guys. Although Hancock is about a guy with superpowers, the film is down to earth and the storyline can be associated with and the characters are believable. Movie goers will love the twist in Hancock...

This was a great movie with a very nice story it was a great mix of comedy, action, and drama all together although some of the language is a little rough i would still recommend your whole family see it ....
