This slow cooker by Hamilton Beach is absolutely made of the best quality for the money compared to other cookers. The size is just perfect for family meals, potlucks, or tailgates. I love the stylish stainless steel outer construction. It wipes clean without alot of fuss. The inside food compartment is removeable for easier cleaning too and again wipes clean with just a swipe. The crock pot offers three temperature settings- high , low, and warm, so that your food doesn't burn while the guys are involved in that all important football game and can't be torn away from the tv screen. :) Go Bucks!!! :) The lid is made of a see through glass which I have actually dropped it and it did not break! Food is consistently tasty, tender, and always has a good texture and flavor. I BROKE THE CROCK IN MY OLD SLOW COOKER. INSTEAD OF TRYING TO REPLACE THE CROCK I PURCHASED A NEW STAINLESS STEEL RIVAL SLOW COOKER TO MATCH MY OTHER KITCHEN APPLIANCES. IT WORKS BUT IT HAS A VERY HIGH TEMPERATURE ON LOW SETTING. I CAN PLACE A 3 POUND ROAST IN IT IS DONE IN LESS THAN 3 HOURS AND THE JUICES ARE BURNT ON SIDE OF CROCK OR BOILING IN BOTTOM. I CANNOT LEAVE IT ON AND LEAVE THE HOUSE FOR VERY LONG. I HAVE NEVER USED THE HIGH SETTING I CANNOT IMAGINE HOW HOT THAT SETTING IS. I WORK 12 HOUR SHIFTS AND I USED TO BE ABLE TO HAVE MY HUSBAND TURN CROCK POT ON AT NOON AND 6 HOURS LATER HE AND KIDS WOULD HAVE A GREAT TENDER ROAST TO EAT. I CANT DO THIS NOW. THIS SLOW COOKER WORKS GREAT IF YOU ARE HOME & FORGET TO START THE ROAST IT WILL HAVE IT DONE IN RECORD TIME BUT YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT AND FREQUENTLY ADD EXTRA WATER OR BROTH. I USE IT BUT WISH I HAD MY OLD ONE BACK THAT DID NOT MATCH.

There is hardly a meal that can be made that I can`t find a way to make it in my crock pot. Well I dont think you can deep fry in it, if it is possible someone please let me know.

The only thing that I would change about my crock pot is to make it more portable. I like to share my creations with others.

Never be afraid to try new things, almost anything goes,be creative and you will find that your crock pot can become your favorite way to cook.

Personaly I love good food, but I hate being stuck in the kitchen, I just through everything in it in the morning and by dinner time everything is ready.

I love this slow cooker. As a busy mother of 4 I love to make stews and chili in this wonderful divice. I set it before I leave in the morning with all the ingredents set it in high and when I come home in 4 to 5 hours it's done. I use it for birthday parties and family gatherings to cook and or keep things warm. It never fails me. It's sturdy and has lasted me for quite sometime now well compared to how long everything else last around here. I choose it because it matches my other kitchen appliences, black and stainless steal. I love that it's dishwasher safe the oval dish that is. It has been very convinent to have around when I need it. It really keeps things warm or hot.I've use it for Thanksgiving,Christmas and New Years. It works great for all events and its so protable.It's somthing everyone should have. If you don't have one you should really get one. I have 2 so I can have two things cooking.

this crockpot has definitly been a lifesaver it makes me want to cook more i dont think i know how to make a meal without it. i also find excuses to use it even when its absolutly not important to me like my sisters highschool friends birthday whom i never met.... i just like to use it this product makes it so fun and whatever i make comes out perfect. i love its features so easy to understand i even lost the manual and i was still able to figure it out what i love the most of all is its gorgeous look it fits perfectky with my kitchen and i am going to use it for my first thanksgiving! im glad that i bought this product also because its definitly made my husband stay home alot more rather then eat out, i mean come on im a wife now and i should have a decent meal for my husband and i totally give the credit to my crock pot i got tired of eating out and i felt bad because he should have that to come home to im glad im happy now!

We had tried a Crock Pot and it was good and provided some great meals, but as our family grew in size it was not big enough to allow everyone to have a good tasting of what was cooked in it. When we got the Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker and it was 5.5 Quarts, we were then able to cook enough for everyone and sometime even have left overs. This item is one of the strongest made and it is duriable. You can use the big heavy bowl to cook your meal in or use a liner that allows for a easier cleaning. After the ,eal is cooked you can serve from thwe pot and set the timer on warm keeping everything hot while eating or you can remove the bowl and set it on the table so you do not have to get up everytime someone wants a extra serving. I like the timer and it has a high temp, low temp and a warm temp. If you want a slow cooker that will cook some great meals while you are at work or at play and have no worries about it burning your house down, then this is it. My husband and I enjoy dining it, don't get me wrong. However, we used to eat out a lot more than we should have. Why? Because we both work long hours and by the time we both get home, neither one of us wanted to waste time to cook a meal. We were typically starving, so it was just easier to run and grab something.

Now we are proud owners of this slow cooker! We just set it up in the morning before we head out to work, and by the time we come home after work, we have a delicious fully cooked meal, without any of the hassle of trying to cook once we hit the door. The small investment we made to purchase this slow cooker has made a world of difference in our pocketbook, too. Since we aren't running to a different restaraunt every night for dinner, we've certainly seen a wonderful increase in our bank account.

Clean up is a breeze. Just remove the pot to wash and wipe down the actual base of the unit. Would make a perfect gift for newlyweds!

Have you ever considered feeding your pets real food, right for them? Commercial kibble gives dogs mostly cereal which they cannot assimilate, but it's a cheap filler. My 3 dogs, all rescues and blended breeds, get an expensive kibble as a base, and they adore the smell from my slow cooker. When their dishes are set down, they can't wait!

My 5.5 quart oval Hamilton Beach slow cooker was a gift. The actual cooking dish is heavy ceramic. I can set it "low" or "high". I most use the lower setting to cook the dogs' food overnight. When I smell it when I first walk out to the kitchen in the morning and start to grope for the coffee mill, it gets my own stomach juices going. As an independent senior business woman, I only use the slow cooker when I'm having my son or other people over to eat. I prefer to make small meals for myself, but the slow cooker is perfect for the dogs. I create layers of carrots, winter squash or pumpkin, sweet potato, chicken breasts, a chicken leg or two, and a cup...

I absolutely love my Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker.

I have owned other fancier cookers in the past only to have to replace them with in a couple of years because the electronic panel quit working or the heat element inside went bad because I couldn't take the crock out to clean it and had to do so over the sink. I was so glad when I saw the Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker it had a nice crock that lifted out so I could place the meal directly onto the kitchen table without having to dirty a serving dish and still look nice plus after the meal I could wash it out in the sink and not have to worry about ruining any thing. It washes great! I also love the fact that is has a glass lid that I can look thru to see how it's cooking without having to take off the lid and I don't know what you made that lid out of but it's tough I can't tell you how many times I've dropped it and it hasn't broke. Having a good old fashion control knob is wonderful I don't have to worry about electronic panels going bad...

Hamilton crock pot is wonderful!!!! love how it works and i can remove the crock for easy cleaning.......good looking stainless...when its on high or low you can trust the temperature never had anything scorch or stick either !!!!
