With this coffeemaker, you do not use a caraf. The coffee is dispensed one cup at a time, no matter how large the cup or mug is. All you have to do, is place the mug against the back of the front of the coffeemaker and the coffee is dispensed until you move the mug. The remaining coffee is kept hot until used.

My husband really loves this feature, as he loves his coffee hot.

The Hamilton Beach Brewstation Plus 12 Cup Coffee Maker is a great coffee maker. It is so very easy and convenient to use. Not having a glass pot, saves work and is also less messy. It is probably a lot safer for anyone with children or pets because there is no glass to break and no hot burner for them to touch. It is very classy looking in black too. It has a basket inside that the filter fits into that is used to measure the water needed. And with the optional basket, no paper filters are needed. This coffee maker is pretty easy to clean. The optional basket filter and water filters replacement pods are easy to find, reasonably priced and easy to install. It is great to wake up in the morning to the smell of coffee and the coffee tastes great especially with the water filter system. Love just putting the coffee mug under and no pouring. This was our second Hamilton Beach Brewstation. We upgraded and my son enjoys having the other one. Guests love not having...

Hamilton Beach BrewStation Coffee Maker

The Hamilton Beach Brewstation Coffee Maker is a very attractive coffee maker and will match any kitchen being an all black color. It will brew up to 12 cups of coffee at a time. It is simple to brew coffee with and dispenses one cup of coffee at a time. There is no "pot" and no warming tray which provide for less features to break on the appliance. You simply get a cup of coffee when you want it.

To set up the machine you must first clean it. You will need to remove the filter basket and the coffee tank and wash with soap and water, dry and put back together. These pieces are made of a pvc material and lock right into place. The lid to the coffee maker sits on top of the filter basket and is opened by simply lifting it up and back down to close it.

We recently purchased the Hamilton Beach Brew Station after our hard well water killed yet another coffeemaker. Aside from the fact that this machine tends to need the vinegar bath more often- at least it did when we used hard water- it is a great machine! It is nice to not have the pot to clean or worry about breaking. It is a nice design and makes great coffee.Brewstation has my favorite features : brewstop and auto-brew. I don't think that I could go back to not having my morning coffee ready when I get up!! This machine had been recommended to us by our kids and we are impressed. It is a sleek design and easy to program and use. The price on the BrewStation is comparable to other coffeemakers that we priced. I also like the fact that it uses the traditional basket filters as opposed to the cone filters which tend to be more expensive- I don't understand why since it is just a different kind of paper fold.
