Had to buy a new printer so i went w/ a cheaper model ..... bad idea. This printer does just what i need it t do....

The HP D1420 Deskjet is a super compact design that prints faithfully; however, the ink
monitor and head cleaning tools will NOT work. I've contacted HP on this a number of
times and as yet have no solution. Other than that it's a great little printer for the money!...

I bought this printer solely for printing on non paper surfaces. I work as a chidlren's minister and we have access to color copiers and other printers. I wanted something I could use to print stickers, transparencies, iron on transfers.

For what i use it for, it works great. I have had no problems whatsoever. My only con is that the ink is so expensive. (But that goes with any inkjet printer.)

We just bought this printer two days ago and found it to be extremely easy to install and use. Simple set-ups always make me a happy girl. Even though the paper sometimes looks like it is feeding crooked, the print seems to always come out straight. Beautifully crisp, clean, quick print. The ink cartridges are very reasonable at $14.92 for the black ink and $17.92 for the color cartridges. The printer itself cost us approximately $36 at our local Walmart here in Indiana....
