Well I bought a HP Compaq Presario V3700. It was my first and i dare say will be my last. It was a great buy in that they threw in a printer as well and a mouse. I would say they threw in the mouse after realizing how useless the touch pad mouse is. I figured after some use it may get less sticky however after now owning it just over a year it's still as sticky as ever. Had an IBM thinpad T41 prior and although it's a much older laptop it's so much easier to use. Even my girlfriend who comes from an impoverished background can feel the difference in the two and prefers the IBM. Yes! The T41 is old and has some issues now but it's still hanging in there and in my opinion is a far better computer.

Other problems which I can see are going to progress into real problems are the screen. Seems almost as if the tension is too tight so if you have to move the screen it's difficult and then there are shorts in the signal to the screen (ie; the picture tends to partially break down when moving the...

I've used my pc quite often and have reallly enjoyed it. I 've learned that you can't break it by doing different things you learn by just trying them. You can fix problems if you have them by just reading help products installed on pc.you can read emails you can play games you canstore information listen to songs download them and even put pictues either by scanning old photos or just downloading digital ones.My compaq Presaio generally has worked problem free with main problems getting online which turned out to be a bad modem from windstream.Talked with support and member was friendly and helpful as well.It could have come with a wireless internet card but I purchased a cheap one that works fine for my home wireless system.I t has built in recovery system so no need for backup disk even though you can make 1 copy which is recommended.it hhas room for future upgrade if you are smart or know someone who can open case to add more memory or bigger hard drive etc.If I was giving a grade on...

I have the Compaq Presario SR2020nx desktop computer-it funtions well & is basically a good computer but is a little slow for my liking. the dvd/cd writer and program work great and are easy to use. I do download a lot of photos so I suppose that may be why it runs slow.

I have had other computers, but this Compaq is the best and the easiest one that I have ever used. I would recomend this Desktop to other people.

It is a very good computer and since it is manufactured by H.P. then it even better.

Got this for my b-day last year and I love it. It is very fast and the graphics are great. It came with a 19" flat screen monitor (very handy for someone who is 50+). I haven't had any trouble with it and would recommend it for anyone who loves to go online or play games or download pics or just about anything else!!!...

The compaq presario is fast and lots of mem for the regular stuff but needs better video and sound cards for he up to date games. other wise programs load fast and its very user friendly. I aso thought the prie was reasonable. The onitor is also very clear and big. Plus i like the all black look and very easy to hook up a few color coded cords and thats t... so eay i actually id it myself.

Well, I not only am online every day. I use my computer to type papers for class. And even use the computer to research themes and other information for my other class that I teach in the day. I communicate with my young adult children and my grand children. I am not a computer wiz. But my compaq computer has been serving me well. I will buy another one and I will recomend this brand to others....

everyone I know who has gotten a compaq presario has had issues with it. When I needed a repair once they sent the parts directly to me. I took apart the computer and fixed it myself because they never told me what to do. two weeks later a service professional called me wondering when the best time to install the parts would be. I then informed him that I didn't need him anymore. These computers routinely also do not have the upgrade capabilities of most other machines meaning most times you are stuck with what you get as far as hardware goes. You have to routinely pay more for upgrade slots on your machine. If you are ok with an "as is" computer and are ok with servicing your computer with its model's specific problem area, they do usually last 2 to 3 years before they need more help. I personally prefer a computer that is complete when it comes out of the box though....

I currently have 2 compaq computers...one laptop and one desktop. My desktop has never worked well and my laptop? Well let's say it's been in for a check up more than I have been lately. The laptop compaq presario has had at least 3 different hard drives and my CD rom had to be replaced all within the last three years. It's pretty hard to get anything done on it when it's constantly in the shop. I should have spent a bit more money and bought an original HP computer or gone with a MAC!!...

my sister bought me the computer as an early christmas present, becaue my old computer was over 7 years old and she thought it was time for a new one. i am stil getting used to this new computer, but so far everthing that i have tried works so well. i really have no complaints about the computer. we bought the computer at a very good price, you know, one of those black friday specials- and the computer is a very good value for the price. i would tell others to buy the computer as well. overall, i am very happy with my purchase
