If you are someone who is looking for a fast and easy way to get more vegetables in your diet, this is a great product. I love the new Green Giant Simply Steam because they are so easy to make and come out tasting like you have been cooking for a while. You just pull the bag from the freezer, pop it in the microwave for a few minutes and you have great tasting vegetables, it couldn't be easier. I love the Garden Vegetable variety because it is a great mixture of corn, peppers, and peas in a great seasoning. The seasoning adds just the right amount of flavor and spice to the vegetables and once you stir, there is enough seasoning for every bite of veggies. This is a great meal solution when you are in a hurry and is an easy dish to make for a side to any dinner. I love it because the veggies are not only good for you, but they taste great and are so easy to make....

I have been using Birdseye Steamfresh vegetables lately but I thought I would try Green Giant Simply Steam corn and see if that was better. It is NOT! I purchased the niblets corn, 9 ounce package.

First, it was easy enough to cook, just put it in the microwave and heat on high for 3-5 minutes. That is a big range so it takes a lot of guesswork to figure out the right time. It is very HOT and dangerous to empty the corn into a bowl. I had a hard time cutting the package open, it is made awkwardly. It says to pull it open but that was too hard, and I was afraid I would spill the whole bag all over the place so I had to cut it open with scissors.

The corn tastes very chewy, like what my husband calls horse corn. It was not sweet or tasty at all. It was soggy tasting, not crunchy and crisp, like I expected.

A long time ago I used to use Green Giant corn that was in sauce and it was good, but this corn is terrible. I won't buy it again. I recommend Birdseye Steamfresh...

I had a coupon so I thought I would give it a whirl. I purchased Green Giant Simply Steam Seasoned Garden Vegetable Medley. I thought it was pretty good. Our picky daughter didn't care too much for them and my husband said the ones I make are better. This was different from the way I cook and since our household had gotten smaller, I thought it might be good for a change. The basic ingredients are: sugar snap peas, roasted potatoes, red peppers & garden herbs. When I finally read the label and found out that there are some preservatives added to protect the color, as well as water, salt, margarine, and a whole bunch of other things that I couldn't quite identify, I decided it wasn't that good for us. The sodium content was also high, a whopping 280mg and 11g carbohydrates, only 1g from dietary fiber. Milk and soy were also among the listed ingredients.
There are two servings per container. Now we are talking expensive as well as not really good for you. The best thing about......
