Momtotwoboys says "Graco baby monitors have a long life! I've had mine for 6 years!" about Graco UltraClear Baby Monitor

We received our white and blue Graco baby monitor as a gift over 6 years ago. It has lasted, without any problems, and continues to be durable and reliable. It has lasted through drops to the floor!

It is a very simple, two channel monitor with lights that react to sound in a room. It is battery operated as well as AC adapter operated (your preference). It is a very easy set up and readily movable to another room for your convenience.

The item was approximately $40 at Target. It was not the cheapest nor the most expensive.
...

jewelmommy76 says "So much white noise, you hear everything BUT the baby!" about Graco UltraClear Baby Monitor

We got this monitor as a baby shower gift, and i was a bit upset, because I had set up a baby gift registry, and that is not the baby monitor i had chosen. But anyways, my husband said we should try it before baby got here, so we'd know wether it corresponded to our needs, as I am a worry freak! So, we installed all of the units and all we hear was white noise. We switched channels, many times, still the same thing. We even moved around the units, always the same thing! So we decided, that is NOT what we want, I wanted to be able to hear if my baby was waking up or choking! Not constant white noise that would keep me from sleeping!! I really, really do not recommend this product ....

We gave it the old college try on this one - used it for a few weeks, trying different locations and channel combinations within the house and we get SO much buzzing/white noise that we couldn't stand it. Took it back to the store and got the iMonitor - we'll see how this one works out, BUT couldn't deal with the noise on the "Ultraclear."
...

rjjorgen says "cost-effective way to monitor the baby" about Graco UltraClear Baby Monitor

The UltraClear monitor is a budget-conscious way to monitor your baby. Although it may not provide visual monitoring or high-tech sensitivity, it is effective and has a great range. The dual receiver system makes it nice for houses with multiple areas. We keep one in the bathroom, and even in the shower with the fan on we can hear if she's fussing. The other one is kept downstairs (in a 4-level split we can't hear her from the top floor in the two basement levels). The range is excellent; I can hear her even while shoveling the driveway. The clip-on feature is nice while hanging up laundry - I can clip it onto the clothesline and not worry about dropping it. The receiver works well too. We have it in the doorway of the nursery, and it's able to pick her up when she's playing or napping in any of the three upstairs bedrooms. There are two channels, but we've never had problems with interference....
