carmelo2009 says "this product is a life saver for new moms" about Graco Sweetpeace Newborn Soothing Center

this product is a life saver if you are a new mom and have alot to do around the house and dont have the time to constantly carry your baby.the babys love it and so will you. its a lile pricey but worth the money. it even detaches so if your baby is sleeping in the graco snugride carseat, you can attatch the carseat to the frame and allow him or her to swing and liasten to the music and stay asleep.this product is not the easiest to assemble the frame but once that is done its very easy and not as heavy as it looks.tthe graco sleep center is amazing. its tan with a fake fury inside thas soft and comfotable for the baby. it brings a swaddle blanket which always put my newborn right to sleep. the music and nature sounds always soothed him and you can control the volume. there are 6 speeds and a vibrating switch on the swing. its electric so you dont have to worry about constantly buying batteries.
...

kmg1992 says "Very expensive but entertaining piece for a newborn" about Graco Sweetpeace Newborn Soothing Center

I received this swing as a gift prior to the birth of my first child in April 2008. It was at the time the newest and "most innovative" swing on the market. I will say that my baby did get a fair amount of use out of the swing (especially when I was in desperate need of a shower) It has a nice range of music to chose from and the best feature (in my opinion) was the different levels of vibration and swing speed allowing the parents to customize the child's experience. However, now that I am nearing the birth of my second child I can say with conviction that this is just a bit too extravagant for most children. I have since purchased portable swings and bouncy seats at yard sales and found them to be just as entertaining and definitely not as space consuming. It is a good product if you can afford it and if you have a large amount of space- however I would say most new mother's will find that this product is just too cumbersome and expensive.
...

nyyce-gal says "Sweetpeace comes in handy" about Graco Sweetpeace Newborn Soothing Center

My mother bought me the sweetpeace for my first child. I read over decriptions and reviewed many other swings before telling her I wanted this one. The sweetpeace swing was very easy to assemble and I love all the different options its has. The sweetpeace has 6 speeds, natural sounds, upbeat tunes, bedtime tunes, 4 way seat postioner and many other. I never used the swaddeling blanket that came with it due to the fact my son likes to be free to move around. I have used it on all 6 speeds and the only problem I have found is if its on carpet on one of the higher speeds it seems as if its going to flip over. I love the fact you can plug and mp3 player into it so your child doesnt get tired of listening to the same sounds over and over. It comes in very handy if your child falls asleep in it because you can just detach the seat and take it with you if you need to say do laundry. Also if you have a Graco carseat and you child falls asleep in the car the car seat can attach...
...

mom2my4 says "The SweetPeace is innovative and well thought out for baby" about Graco Sweetpeace Newborn Soothing Center

This is the most unusual swing - we loved showing off all of its cool features. We purchased this for our fourth child. Our middle two children wanted nothing to do with a traditional swing, so we were a little wary about the price tag ($169) in case the new baby also had her siblings' distaste. However, it really appealed to us on many levels.

First, we had a Graco infant carseat. The Graco SafeSeat infant seat can be used in the base of the SweetPeace...this was great for coming home from the grocery store with a sleeping baby. I put her still sleeping in the carseat right into the frame, turned on the swing, and she stayed asleep so I could actually get my groceries put away. Frozen food stayed frozen! We liked that aspect of the swing. No more rocking the carseat with my foot.

Second, the way you can position the swing is very cool. You can place the swing seat three different ways. Each position mimics the way you would hold your baby when he or she is fussy....
...

jcat1122 says "A must for a baby who doesn't like to nap" about Graco Sweetpeace Newborn Soothing Center

This is a must for any baby who doesn't like to nap. Even at 10 months, when we put my son in the Sweetpeace he goes right to sleep. The iPod adapter is fantastic - don't have to listen to the canned music again and again. The variable speeds have been good through the growth of our son - he liked the slower speeds better when he was smaller and has "grown into" the top-level of 6 speeds. The swing is very quiet. My only con is that it takes up a fair amount of room - you need room for it to sit on the floor and then even more room for it to swing in (more than a traditional back-and-forth swing). But well worth devoting the space to it!
...

Takhi says "The Graco Sweet Peace looks better than it is." about Graco Sweetpeace Newborn Soothing Center

I got the Graco Sweet Peace as a gift because it was on my registry. I looked at the demo online and saw it in a store and it looked great. The fabric was soft and it swings in a different direction than most swings. The advertising said it was meant to be more soothing to a baby. My baby was very fussy for the first few months and this did not soothe him at all. He hated being in the swing and rarely calmed down in it. The toys on the toy bar are silly - there's a mirror and a teething ring. He does like to play with the mirror, but that's it. There's also a hanging toy that hangs from the canopy but it is attached by velcro so he can pull it off. The motor is really loud so you have to play the music very loud in order to even hear it. It also takes up a ton of space. I was sold based on the hype, but I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. It is cute, but it doesn't do what it should. I probably would have liked it better if we used a Graco carseat because it takes...
...
