This travel system is very nice, light weight and compact. It has all the essentials That's needed for a first time parent. The only draw back I would say this has is that the car seat doesn't lock into a grocery cart like many others I have seen. I didn't research this prior to our first child, but this is a perk I wish I had.
...

tri407 says "Metro Lite Stroller is a great full size light weight stroller" about Graco Metrolite Stroller

I began looking for a light weight stroller in July because my 3 month old son was overheating in his car seat. I have a Graco infant car seat with the infant car seat frame which is convenient however too hot for him when just taking a stroll or sitting outside. I went online and began looking for a stroller that I felt was safe and secure for him as well as light weight and comfortable and found the Graco Metro Lite full size stroller. I then went to Babies R Us to check it out and fell in love with it. I even put my son in it right in the store.

It opens and closes very easily and when folded stands upright and there are 3 seating positions (wished it had 4 like some others but not a big deal) so when my son falls asleep I lay him completely back. The stroller handles great - it feels like you're gliding you barely notice you're even pushing it. I love the canopy which has a tinted visor with a peek a boo window. It has a 5 pt harness which can be used as a 3pt harness when the...
...

suepik says "Love it, easy and affordable." about Graco Metrolite Stroller

I really like my Graco Metrolite Stroller. I received it as a baby shower gift to match my infant car seat. It is now on its third year of use and going strong.

It is pretty compact -- fits in my trunk (Ford Focus) very easily -- and is pretty lightweight. I like that I can use it by either snapping the carseat in directly or just plopping my kid in the seat. I like that it has three back positions -- fully reclined, semi-reclined and straight up. This is a big plus since it is now being used by two kids. It is also super easy to change the back position.

The storage basket is a bit of a pain. You can't access it when the back is fully reclined without lifting up the baby. This means you can't access it at all when the carseat is snapped into the stroller. Also, the basket tends to come unlatched everytime you open and close the stroller, which is a bit of a pain in the neck.

Overall -- I like it and would think about buying (registering for it) again.
...

I'm not usually brand conscious, but I've become such a Graco mom! It's a brand I trust and so far none of their items have let me down. I love the Metrolite stroller, both with the Snugride carseat and without. When my guy was tiny, it was great to be able to snap his carseat directly into the stroller. I loved being able to go from home to car to store and back without waking him up. Now that he's a big guy, the stroller is still great. It's comfy for him, easy to use, and easy on me to push. I like how easily it pivots and how much I can store underneath it when I'm shopping. I didn't like a lot of the prints it came in, but I do like the nice neutral grey I ended up with. The only real downsides are that I find it a little bit heavy (can't believe it's considered compact) and a little bit of a pain to set up each time (lots of steps to set up and then fold up when done). So, I sometimes just grab my $20 umbrella stroller instead for quick trips.
...

lauraloo75 says "Wish I hadn't bought this One!" about Graco Metrolite Stroller

My husband and I bought this quickly and without doing our homework and as new parents we didn't know all of the little features to look at/check out/compare.

There are a couple of things that I dislike about this stroller so much that I wish I had not bought it. First of all, the storage underneath is very hard to get to especially if your child is reclined in the seat at all. It also doesn't seem to be as big as other strollers I have seen since buying this one.

The second and most annoying feature is that this stroller does not secure in an upright position the way that it should. Even at its tightest the strap that is supposed to keep it upright loosens and within minutes your child is laying back in the stroller. My son can never sit up and look around.

Those are my two big complaints and I wish I had bought a different stroller.
...

Teareye says "The Graco Metrolite Stroller is wonderful." about Graco Metrolite Stroller

The Graco Metrolite travel stroller and infant car seat is a wonderful investment. The infant seat provides secure seating for and infant in a rear facing possition. The base stays in the car and the baby can be lifted out with the infant carrier with a quick push of a button. You then place the carrier and secure the handle down on the Metrolite travel stroller. It is so helpful to not have to disturb and move the baby from the car seat and replace them in the stroller. It is upsetting to have a sleeping baby and then have to relocate them. This infant carrier helped to eliminate this step. The Metrolite travel stroller is a great investment since it is sturdy and will fit a toddler with storage under the seat for all the things that you need to bring. It will hold packages from shopping which is a big help. This stroller is light weight and folds down with a quick push of a bar. I also found it helpful that my husband could order an additional base for his car so we did...
...

I registered for the Metrolite as the matching stroller for my son's infant car seat. He's since outgrown the seat but we still use the stroller. It's lightweight, easy to use, transport friendly and fits in our compact trunk. Also, it's one of the more inexpensive strollers and Graco is a great brand.
...

The Graco Metrolite Stroller is an all-around wonderful stroller at a great price. It is lightweight, easy to fold and unfold, and compact. I can unfold it and snap it in place with one hand if I have to. :) I bought my first one while pregnant with my first child 8 years ago. I tried all the strollers at Babies R Us and this is what I chose for its' ease of use. It has anything you will need. Comfortable, cup and snack holders, cup holder for the adult, adjustable handle which is great for taller people, large basket, reclining seat, large canopy, room for a baby carseat, easy to push, easy to turn, fits in narrow places... it really is great. And I did not notice it being difficult to push with an older child...we used it a lot with a three year old in it. We logged literally thousands of miles on this stroller. We use it a LOT. I used to walk 5 miles a day several days a week in addition to day trips, neighborhood walks, mall trips, etc.~ and this stroller held......

This Graco Metrolite stroller is light weight and collapses easy. It travels well and is comfortable for my son. I prefer this stroller over others because of the size, ease of maneuvering, and the storage, and the tray. It has a 5 point harness and has a great height adjustable handle. The only down size to this stroller is I wish it had more storage for parents for cups and keys. I would buy another metrolite anytime.
...

The Graco Metrolite stroller is extremely light and durable. It's very easy to use. The only issue I've had is that the front wheels must be facing forward in order to collapse the stroller correctly. This isn't really a big deal, I just forget sometimes. Other than that it's proven to be wonderful. I take it everywhere, and it handles everything well. I especially like that the wheels are hard rubber and do not need to be inflated and therefor cannot rupture....
