It only has a 3 month warranty There is a charge of $139 for some one to come out and look at it. Then another 55 to return with the part needed to repair it and you have to pay for the part...ends up more than bike cost.

For those having problems with batteries - here's the adapter information (so you don't have to buy it from the manufacturer for about $80):

AC-to-DC power adapter; 6V, 800mA; Radio Shack: 273-1766

Adaptaplug "M" at Radio Shack; 5.5mm O.D.; 2.1mm I.D.; Radio Shack: 273-171

It cost me about $24 for this and it's well worth it! Love the bike!

A great bike, but the batteries don't last long if you run the fan, or plug in an MP3 player. The battery compartment is located on the bottom, and is flimsy. It should have come with a power adapter ($73.88 plus shipping of $18.97 from GOLDS GYM). The four small screws that hold the plastic console (were you hold to get a pulse reading) to the metal frame are sure to break with much use, so be careful not to move it to much while holding the handles. The seat is a bit uncomfortable after a while and very straight, a perfect 90.

These are just the things I don't like about the Golds Gym Power Spin 230R, but I have been enjoying the bike in general, and I think it is still a great machine for the price.

The Golds Gym Power Spin is something I use everytime to my community gym. I love this exercise machine as far as stationary bikes go it is definitely one of the most comfortable they have offered. I have incorporated it into my daily workout routine. I can easily maintain my legs in shape with the power spin.

Well, I bought this for my girlfriend and we split. she gave it back to me - said she did not want anything to remind her of me. like she said she would excercise and get in shape and never did. so i left.

the bike is useless for me because it is suitable for kids and small adults only.

i got $25 for it - basically as good as brand new.

think twice before you by any home equipment. i have seen a trend with friends they buy but never use.

Very excited about this unit. We were looking for this type of bike to complete our home gym and could not be happier with it. It is quiet, everything works just as it should, I use it every day and am extremely pleased with it. Love the little ledge to set books or magazines on. After reading other reviews, we took our monitor to our local Radio Shack and they were able to furnish us with an AC-to-DC Power Adapter (SKU 273-1766 6V 800mA AC adapter with an SKU 273-1716 Adaptaplug M) for just $23.99 plus tax. I could not guarantee it to others, but it is working beautifully on ours--much better than new Duracell batteries. Also, with this adapter, there is no hassle with the battery compartment door (which can be rather frustrating).The fan works great, all the programs, and the cardiovascular feature is much more accurate with the power cord.

We have been looking for a good recumbent bike, but they were so expensive, we were very happy when we found this model at WalMart...

This bike does everything you would expect from riding a bike. It has adjustable resistance to make your workout harder and tells you haw fast you are going, calories burned and pulse. It is fabulous and was extremely easy to assemble. Plus it has a wide comfortable seat and back support....

Gold Gym Power Spin 230R

The bike is good but whoever designed the battery compartment and the battery retainer should be taked out and severly beaten. The battery retainer is very dificult to close and the tabs broke off. I am now forced to buy an electric converter for about $80.

Thanks alot Golds Gym. You took a good product and cheaped out on the battery compartment.

This is a great exercise bike, at a great price, I bought it at Walmart for $199. It has 8 setting for different types of work outs. I can make the resistance easier or harder up to 10 resistance settings, it also monitors my heart rate, calories, distance & time.

It has a place for me to plug in my MP3 player, there are speakers built into the monitor, a drink holder, a fan and the main reason I bought this bike, it has a nice big comfortable high back.

Even after having back surgery I still suffer with major back pain. So, I have to adjust my life around this pain. There are things I can do and things I can't. I knew I needed a bike with a high comfortable back, and this seat is very comfortable, high and really sturdy.

I was using the exercise bike similar to this one at my local gym, I liked it and had planed on using it all the time, but my gym got to busy and I would have to wait to use one of the bikes. ...
