I am addicted to the Golden Girls TV Series. Who isn't? It has to be one of the funniest shows in my opion on the tube. My fater used to love this show and he would never miss one of the eposides when I was a kid. So of course we all had to watch the show. When I was younger I hated the show. It ended when I was a Sophmore in high school and let me tell you that has to be almost eighteen years now. Three years ago I was staying up late reading and and I turned to the Lifetime network at midnight and caught one the reruns. It dealed with Dorothy and her mother Sophie and some old friends from home. Of course the other couple thought Dorothy was their daughter. I bought dyed laughing when Dorothy told that guy if he touched her his teeth would make it home before he did. This show really pushed the issues for the eighties and early ninites. You take four women and put them in a house together in Florida. Then you add Dorothy's ex-hushand Stan and top off the crashness of it...

I love the Golden Girls they are alsome. It does not have to be for old people. I am 25 and I watch it every night. If you are a guy it might not be your cup of tea. Don't descriminate it because it hasolder women in it. I love the show, to me it shows when you get older that your life still remains to have fun. The show is funny and a little *****, I guess that's why I love it. I love crazy shows. If you have not watched it you need to. Life is crazy sometimes so I just make it a little more interesting. I actually wish it was still on the air, I mean there is reruns. It was said when I heard that Estelle and Bea passed away. Estelle was my favorite on the show. She was very crazy, funny and so on. She made the show.

The series that just continues to be relavent and timeless!

These ladies, even now over 20 years later are still just as relavent as they were in their original days of filming this series. While we look to our older generation as being 'useless' or 'old' and not in touch, these ladies proved that no matter how old you were or became, you still had something to offer friends around you, your community and not just at an old folks home . . . They are a relavent group of ladies, even though we have had to say goodbye to two of them,but their place in television history continues to make them timeless!

I never miss an episode when it comes on t.v. I have seen all of the episodes. The entire cast is fabulous. They work so well together. They make it look so real and believable. They were all so funny. Blanche is a hot mess. Rose is so naive it always made me do a double take. Did she really say that? Sophia was a riot. If I were to live that long, I would hope to be that fiesty. Dorothy was so sunny and always stood her ground. I loved that she was a strong and smart woman. It was such a great loss to lose Bea Author and Estele Getty. I'm very glad that they have re-runs. I watch them almost everynight.

the Golden Girls has to be my favorite show of all time. I am sure I have seen every episode a hundred times over...I never tire of them. I am in my early thirties but can certainly appreciate good comedy! I feel as if i know every character...Rose and all her ST. Olaf stories, Dorothy the substitute school teacher who got pregnant and had to marry Stan, Blanche the vixen of the group...and sweet Sophia, who steals the show with her comebacks...I am a die hard Golden Girls fan...all of my friends watch as well as my mom. I would certainly recommend this show to anyone looking to relax and laugh. These ladies are and were television icons. I am proud to say I own every season (even though it comes on every day).

It was a well written show and I don't think any other show will be able compete with the Golden Girls as it was the best show of its time.

I can't imagine anyone not liking this show...it really doesn't have to be relatable to be enjoyable.

Golden Girls,a television sitcom from the mid-80s to early 90s, is one show that can always brighten my mood. It's a show about four women with different personalities who live together in Miami,FL. There's Blanche, the owner of the house. She is a major flirt who loves to tell stories about her love life and will never be caught without a date on a Friday night. Dorothy, witty, sarcastic and easily irritated, is always ready with a quip and isn't afraid to tell it like it is. Rose, loveable, optimistic and some might say dimwitted, is always ready with a smile and a story about her hometown. And last but certainly not least, there's Sophia, the oldest housemate and Dorothy's mother. Sophia, a tough old "broad," shares Dorothy's sense of humor and never fails to offer her opinion even when it is at the expense of someone else.

This show works for several reasons. Although the women are in their golden years, the show clearly sends the message that age is just a number. These...

The Golden Girls Tv Show is the best show ever! I watch it every day. I would own all the seasons on dvd if i could. They are so funny. I love every episode i have seen. I would love to have them as my friends! When i get old i hope i have friends like them. They are so sweet and loving. They are like family to eachother. Rose is the clueless one, Blanch is the slutty one, Dorothy is the smart one, and Sophia is the sweet, cute, funny one. I love them all. They are really great actresses!

golden girls is such a funny show and has been on for years. I can not believe that my daughter that is 9 yrs old loves the show. I love watching they always make you laugh. I would love to go and buy them on dvd to have at home to watch over and over instead of waiting to watch them on tv. every night or every other night. my son started to watch the series. I think Rosie really makes the show cause she always acts so dumb when she is really not and granny is really played by someone very young she plays her part very well. well they all do, it is really hard to belive that they all lived together so long and no one remarries or leaves. I would tell every9ne to go and buy golden girls videos or dvds if they can. I love to watch "the Golden Girls" on Lifetime at 8:00am. It's on 4 times for a half hour each. It's about three 50 something year old women who become roommates because they can't afford to live on their own. Blanche owns the home. Her husband is deceased. She's my favorite because she's sassy and very good looking for her age. She'll never tell how old exactly that is. She's still very sexually active. Then there's Dorothy who is the smart one who basically holds the group together. She has an ex-husband named Stan who shows up quite often. She doesn't date much. Then there's Rose who isn't too smart but very sweet and loves to tell stories about St. Olif where she grew up. Most of the stories couldn't possibly be true. Dorothy's mother eventually moves in from Shady Pines(a senior citizens home). Her name is Sophia. She's a good addition to the show. She's good with quick witted one liners. Each day they go through different adventures. The show always keeps me interested and......

I love the wit of these funny ladies. All are unique but when they come together, it is a non-stop laugh-a-thon! Their non-verbal communication is just as effective as their witty dialogue. You can always count on Sophia's blunt remarks, Dorothy's quick comebacks, Rose's childlike ways, and Blanche's inappropriateness. Amidst their experiences and struggles, they are a group of warm-hearted girls just wanting to have fun!...

Golden Girls!!!!! What can you say but FUNNY, and FUN to watch. I used to watch this with my grandmother while spending the night with her when it was on Reg Networks NBC was the original station to air the show. This show is still going strong, and I watch it every weekday night on Lifetime. They air I believe 3-4 episodes around the 8 pm hour after Frasier. I also have started collecting the DVD sets of it. This is one where the jokes you could actually laugh at, and were funny without trying to hard to be. Sophia well what is there about Estelle Getty that you can't say is great she was a great woman, and a great asset to this show to give it that edge, and wit it needed. She said what she thought, and to bad if you did not like it. She will be missed on this earth. While Golden Girls is a 80's show it still is one of the best TV has to offer. Please catch it on Lifetime you won't be sorry.

Okay, so I'm not the 'typical' Golden Girls fan or at least I dont fit the mold. But this has to be one of my all-time-favorite tv shows. I have a hard time deciding which character/actress is my favorite (although if I had to choose one to save my life, it'd probably be Dororthy/Bea Arthur).

The chemistry is remarkable; the timing is impeccable! I love the way Dororthy always does the "double take" stare at Rose whenever Rose makes one of her dizzy observations.

For example- Lesly Neilson played Uncle Luther on an episode. In the scene, Lesley Neilson had given Dorothy a bouquet of flowers, gotten on one knee, took Dorothy's hand, and started into his speech "I love you, I cant imagine being without you..." An obvious proposal of marriage.

Rose says, "I think he's going to ask her out."

And that is when Dorothy does her famous "double take" stare.

I also LOVE Blanche and Sophia-- or at least how Sophia is always the first to remind Blanche how much of a "bed hopping relic" she is." FUNNY!!...

The show is very funny and i just love watching Sofia because she is really funny. I really like the episode were Blanche is being used and mentally abused because that happens in real life everyday. The ladies all fit together and act well together. Alot of the episode are about everyday life and this show can cheer you up and make you laugh when you are down....
