dmlichnerowicz says "This year, Glamour has gone from glamorous to lackluster" about Glamour Magazine

I am in the middle of the third year of my subscription to Glamour magazine. For the first two years, I absolutely loved the magazine! I got a two-year subscription for around $25.00, and it arrived promptly every month. The articles were great: lots of variety, tons of handy hints, and even though a lot of the items they feature are WAY out of my price range, they were all things that I could find a cheaper version of and gave me great ideas for my personal style.

However, in the past few months, I have become increasingly disappointed with the magazine. Within three issues, they had Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift as the cover girls. Now, I'm not knocking either girl, but if I wanted to read interviews with teenagers, I'd buy Seventeen magazine. Another complaint I have is that Glamour used to have more variety in their articles. Marianne Pearl was one of their reporters who did some fabulous pieces on the plight of women across the world, and it really broadened my understanding...
...

boss8760 says "One of the top Fashion/Beauty Magazines" about Glamour Magazine

I have had a subscription to Glamour for two or three years now. I really like it. I feel it gives me the best realistic beauty and fashion advice. And by that I mean, everything suggested in this magazine is not outrageously expensive that only an heiress could afford. It is a great magazine for tragic spinsters such as myself to get their monthly fashion and beauty advice and check out all the new make-up and hair products out...because who are we kidding, these magazines are full of advertisements.
...

rose23986 says "Better than cosmo" about Glamour Magazine

I prefer Glamour to Cosmo. Although, I'm not sure exactly why. I guess the magazine feels like it has more variety month to month.

I like the makeup and hair tips that come in each magazine. But I feel the magazines are too expensive for what you get. And with the recession I feel like they are cutting the pages down. Still, it's nice to have a fun mindless read once in a while. Especially when you work hard all day and just want to relax.

I wouldn't recommend a subscription because then the magazine definitely gets repetitive. I usually get it once every 3 months. Also, DO NOT sign up for their free issue. If you do, they will call and hassel and try to bill you for subscriptions for months on end. I had to call 3 times before they stopped sending me notices that I was delinquent on an account for a magazine subscription I never received.

...

mgkamish says "If you only get one magazine a month, make it Glamour!" about Glamour Magazine

I've subscribed to Glamour for almost 30 years and I've never felt as if it weren't speaking to me. It does track to the 20 - 40 year old range but since my mind is 27 (even though my body is 51), it still offers plenty to keep me reading for hours. Glamour has fashion, makeup, etc., but it also delves into politics, economics, business and other topics of interest to the modern woman. I highly recommend Glamour magazine....

myboysmama says "A fashion mag for everyone.....even you" about Glamour Magazine

Glamour is by far my favorite "fashion mag" While the real fashion junkies may not agree, this mag gives real advice to real women who will not be waltzing down the runway anytime soon. Not out to tout high dollar beauty tips, they give you real advice such as using the back of a spoon is the easiest method of curling your eyelashes. It's not strictly beauty and fashion, get ready to lay back, relax and enjoy a cover to cover read....

kinarysingz says "Sexy and Sassy" about Glamour Magazine

Glamour magazine is one of the best magazines I've read in a long time. All of the articles are interesting and helpful. Its got just the right mix between entertainment, beauty, romance, and intellect to keep you interested. Its not just about whats in for woman its about whats healthy and safe for them. Its liberating not binding for them. It can also have some things in there for men. Some of the health articles would be equally helpful to men and women. Glamour has been doing a beautiful job for decades and hopefully will continue....
