I absolutely loved my time at Georgia Southern. I met by best friend there fall of our freshman year, in the dorm where we had so much fun, and she will always be my best friend. I met a lot of other good friends there too, who I am still in touch with. I had some fantastic professors who taught me well. I feel like I really earned my degree and learned a tremendous amount. GSU offers a wide range of degrees and programs of study and they are all great. There are many different ways to get involved in campus life and numerous opportunites to meet people. The food served on campus is not bad! The newly remodeled library is amazing. The campus itself is really beautiful. There is a phenomonal recreational center for students and faculty to work out in. The city of Statesboro is a great size for a college town and offers a lot of good food and coffee options. There are quite a few churches to choose from as well. I loved almost every minute of my 4 years and I visit Statesboro often, especially...

This school is an excellent school! Parents are kept informed of any problems immediately - I don't just mean with your students either. If there is a weather alert, a police incident, etc. an immediate email is sent out to parents. This makes me feel very secure with my child attending there. Not only does she have great classes and professors, she is in a safe environment.

Georgia Southern University is a great school. Now I will say it is not a school for everyone, but it is the perfect school for me. I am married with a child so the fact that there really is not too much to do here is great for me because it allows me to focus on my school work even more. And between my husband and child I already have enough distractions, so I do not need to go to a school that is located in a big city with lots of things to do. I will say there are a lot of parties, but no more than the average college. If you party a lot during the first couple of weeks it will be very easy for you to fail. So I suggest just partying on the weekends and study during the week. This university has great professors that are very helpful and want to see you succed and make themselves avaiable to you....

This school is up and coming to be one of the best ones in Georgia. Prices are reasonable, the professors are amazing, and the students are unbelieveable....
