dfly22000 says "Convenient for apartments that ban charcoal grills" about George Foreman Grill - Indoor GRP4P

I have a George Foreman electric grill. I bought it because my apartment building bans charcoal and propane grills, but they allow the electric plug-in grills. I have it on my porch, and use it quite frequently throughout the summer. It is the kind that is on a stand, and you can adjust the height. There is one grilling surface that is nonstick, which is nice. However, I find that if you use any kind of marinade on the meat, it sticks like crazy. It kinda sucks, because you end up not being able to use any of the cool marinades that are out there. Also, I find that the grill does a nice job with cooking stuff, but that I really miss the charcoal flavor. A friend of mine suggested using Liquid Smoke, which I tried, and it does give it a bit of a smoky flavor. But it's not as good as the real deal, unfortunately. I'd say that overall, the Foreman is a healthy way to prepare a meal, allows you to enjoy the summer, and is a good alternative if you live in an apartment...
...

The george forman grill is amazing! This thing does everything. I recieved this as a christmas present and was skeptical at first that it would work as well as an oven but boy was i suprised. This grill can grill, fry, bake, and just about anything else a conventional oven can do. I think the best thing about the george forman is that it is so versitle and easy to clean. Anyone who is even a little bit intrested in this product should purchase it because they will love it. I love using the grill to bake cookies, make burgers, chicken, waffles, and anything else I can think of. Another great thing about the george forman is that it doesnt let your food sit in the fat that cooks off of it. It drains the fat away from the food. This makes many dishes a lot healthier than they would be if cooked in a conventional oven. It also cooks from the top and bottom so many cooking times are reduced by quite a bit making it perfect for busy people like me!
...

We just love this grill. I have recommended it to lots of friends.

We use it all the time, and you can cook anything on it. The waffle plastes are just wonderful. They make the waffles big and fluffy, it's like going to IHOP. We us the girll plates a lot. We have cooked chicken, hamburger, & pork. We are still trying other things to cook on it. I love the fact that the plates can be washed.

I will keep on telling everyone what a great grill this is, and I will definately buy another one, if this one burns up from us using it so much.

I have used other brands of grills and this is number one in my book.

There is only one thing that I don't like about the grill. It has a shorter cord than most appliances. Thats a safety reason.

I received the Groege Forman grill as a christmas present. I really do not like it, I don't even use it any more. Everything I cooked on it was burnt on the outside before the inside was even close to being cooked. Then when you tried to wash it, because the trays are not removeable, it is a nightmare. It is ackward to wash and because it burnt everything there was a lot of burnt on mess that is very hard to get off. I do not recommed it.
...

I have been using these grill for several years in different sizes. I use them to cook just a bout everthing. I grill chicken, steak, pork chops, fish and vegatables. Ilike the way they clean up and the runn off of the fat. You do need to remenber not to use metal ustensils on the grills. As far clean up goes a wet soapy rag does the trick and if there is any struck on food use the tool that comes with the grill to scrath it off. Ther are a couple of things you need to know when using the grill you need to let it heat up for a minute or two and the cooking time is usually less than in the frying pan. Also becuse the fat runs off you might find a less lesn cut of meat will work better as sometimes the leaner cuts can taste a little dry. I also recommend seasoning the meat.
...

After using the least expensive model for a couple of years and tiring of washing the grates by hand each time, I recently upgraded to the George Forman grill with removable plates that go in the dishwasher. I use this thing all the time. Works great for fish, chicken, burgers and boneless steaks. It heats up quickly (5 min.) and comes out of the dishwasher perfectly clean but with a white haze from the soap that needs to be wiped off with a damp paper towel. I highly recommend it.
...

I bought a George Forman Grill last year in November. I love to grill things, but living in an apartment, I was not allowed to have a outdoor grill. So I started looking around for an electric grill. The George Forman Gill was one that I had heard good things about and also, my sister and my aunt each have one and they are happy with thiers. So I decided to get one for myself. I waited till they had gotten on sale and bought one.

I have had mine now for about 5 months and I use it about once a week. It is so convient and food taste really good. I had to learn by trial and error about the cook times. I have made burgers, kabobs, fish and even panini sandwhiches. You can also grill vegis and pineapples. And clean up is simple. Just put a wet cloth in the grill while it is still hot after cooking your food and about 15 to 20 minutes later just wipe it clean.

All in all I am really happy with my purchase and I would recommend one for my friends and family....
...

I have heard negative and positive reviews on the George Foreman Grill. I racked enough points on my Visa card to get one at no charge so I said WHY NOT and I am very pleased with my purchase. I have never been able to cook chicken and now my chicken comes out perfect. This can do just about any thing from meat, to vegitables, to sandwiches. I love this grill. I am not a great cook nor can I grill but this is for every one. You must clean it as soon as it cools off or it's nearly impossible to get the remains of off the grill plates. There is a special sponge you can buy to clean it but it's not needed. The plastic tool works wonders if used right after it cools.
...

My oldest son recommended this after he purchased and used one himself. I have owned this grill for over a year. Having been on the Atkins diet, it was important to me to cook healthy and tasty meals that were allowed on the diet. If I am recalling correctly, I paid about $75.00 for this grill.

This grill holds at least five chicken breasts. The grills on top and bottom both heat up so you get even cooking in less time. The bottom grills are also removable for easy cleaning. Just wipe the top clean. I also like to put wet paper towels between the top and bottom while it's still warm. This steams a lot if not all the stuck on food. Then it just wipe it clean.

I have cooked vegetables on one side and meat on the other. Bacon comes out great since all the fat runs down the slanted grills into a drip tray. Lemon pepper chicken is a favorite and I won't even use the BBQ anymore after cooking it on this grill. Burgers come out great too. Since both top and bottom grills get hot, it cooks evenly...
...

I love my Goerge Foreman grill - the food is so much better cooked on it - basically you only need to sprinkle a little seasoning & grill away - honestly the food has a very mosit tast to it - all of the fat is drained away - the only down fall to it is the older models do not have removable grills - the smaller models have removable grills now but the larger still do not - but all aside I still love my george foreman grill - I have cooked chicken, steaks, hamburgers, even deer on the grill - just sprinkle a little seasoning which ever you prefer - your choice- & cook away - my has a timer on it so when you first cut it on you can have it warm up for 5 min or so - so when you are ready to cook all you need to do is place your meat on the grill & close - I found a quick tip for cleaning the grill too - after cooking place 3 or 4 (depening on your grill size) wet papertowels on the grill & close it & eat your supper while you are eating the steam will help loosen all of the food that......
