Bought my first George Foreman grill at a Goodwill. Best purchase I ever made. We use this one to two times every day. The ones with detachable plates would probably be easier to clean, but these aren't that bad.
...

I am a big fan of George Foreman grills. This was the first type of GF Indoor grill I bought for simple use, but I soon discovered that while it cooks healthy and tasty meals, it's a pain in the buttocks to clean! I would recommend purchasing a grill with removeable grill plates instead of relying on the "scrubber sponge" to clean the grills that don't have removeable grill plates. I end up placing the grill on the side of the sink and pouring soapy water over and over it, scrubbing, and then pouring regular water back over until it's clean. So while I like using this grill, I dread the cleaning up part...which is why I decided to buy one of GF's other grills with removeable grill plates. I've used this grill for just about everything, from chicken, to veggies, to fruit, and even used it as a panini press. Of course, it doesn't work as well as a regular panini press, but it does the job. Plus, this is the larger size grill, so you can use it to cook for more than just yourself....
...

I waited a very long time before I broke down and bought one of these when I found it on sale I couldn't resist. I have found this to be indespensible almost immediately, using it nearly every day. It cooks very fast due to the fact it cooks both sides at once. Very easy to clean up, while hot I just pour some water on the bottom portion of grill and wipe with wet paper towels, don't bother trying to clean when cool, if you let it get cool, plug it back in and wait a few min much easier that way. The top doesn't get as dirty and I just clean that with wet paper towels while hot. I have found it does even more than they advertise. It is wonderful for cooking fish, bacon, french toast, all meats, super for chicken wings, with them coming out nice and crispy, grilled veggies and the best grilled cheese in less than 3 min.... I could go on and on. Also doubles as a panini maker. I even spatchcocked a game hen and weighted the top (Alton Brown's idea) and it was done in maybe 15 min all......

George Foreman Grill-Family Size.

My hubby bought this to make quick dinners for himself when he worked really late. He never liked the way food came out on it. kind of dry and odd feeling.

BUT, We have never gotten rid of it, because it is EXCELLENT for Bacon!!!!!

We all know how bad bacon is for you....well, try cooking bacon on this, I think its actually good for you now. The grease is collected away from the grilling bacon! the bacon comes out perfectly crisp and meaty at the same time! It has a great full smokey bacon flavor....like its supposed to. Nothing is worse than burned bacon, or bacon that tastes like burned grease. Yuck! Not with the Goeorge Foreman. Perfectly cooked, crispy, tasty, delicious BACON!!!

Plus no grease splatters all over to clean up later! And the teflon coated grill is a snap to clean up. Not like that nasty cook top pan!

I also think it does a great job on quesadilla's.

But for other than those two uses, I would have junked mine years...
...

When I first bought the George Forman grill, I wasn't sure how I'd like it since I've never had a grill that cooks the top and bottom of the meat at the same time. I've had mine for about 5 years and haven't burned anything. It can be raining or snowing outside, but you can have any grilled meat or veggies you want. If you're going to grill fish, I'd recommend either coating the fish with oil or spraying both surfaces before putting the fish on. The only drawback is I wish the grill plates were removable to go into the dishwasher. Depending on what you grilled before, it might take a little elbow grease to get it clean, but it has a teflon surface and nothing scratches it. I'd definitely recommend this grill to an individual, a couple or a family of four. I got my money worth and then some....

ANYONE can cook with the George Foreman grill. You could be the busiest person in the world, but you could still find time too cook dinner with this product. What would normally take you an hour to bake in the oven, you can grill in about ten minutes!

How does it cook that fast? Well, I suppose it's because you have heat cooking both sides of the meat at the same time. Because of this, you have to be careful to watch your food because it will overcook and dry out much faster than it normally would.

I've found that the best thing to cook on the George Foreman grill is chicken. It seems to cook the most evenly, and maintains a lot of flavor. Another good meat to grill on this is sausage. You get the grill marks just like you would on the outdoor grill, but you don't have to consume all the fat that you would otherwise.

You see, the George Foreman grill is built on a slant. This allows for all fat and grease to just roll right off the grill. The grill comes with a plastic...
...

This grill is great to use when the weather won't allow you to use your outdoor grill. However, the taste isn't as great as an outdoor grill! It cooks fast which is great if you are trying to prepare a meal in a short amount of time. It can be a little messy, but the coating on the grill surface helps with cleanup....

My entire family has ordered me to stay away from the kitchen. I hate to cook. I hate to touch raw meat. And, I can't even make a grill cheese without burning it. HOWEVER, since we got the George Foreman, I've been spending a lot more time in the kitchen. I still put on my little rubber gloves to get the meat from the package to the grill, but since I don't have to look at it while it's cooking, it's not nearly as bad.

This thing is easy to use, easy to clean and fast. Did I mention I'm impatient also?

I would definitely recommend this product to everyone. I've now added the George Foreman to the list with the microwave and phone for my necessities to feed my family when my husband isn't home.
...

He made it look so easy, not to mention fast.

Finally this past Christmas I received one from my daughter..YIPPEE

The frist time I tried it I cooked chicken breasts. Thought for sure if there was a way to mess it up I would, but to my surprise "IT WAS AWESOME". In 8 minutes my chicken was done and it was perfect. I must say it was so easy.

We had the sandwich size George Forman grill, loved it. Seen the bigger family size one, and we would not be without it now. It has removable grills inside for ease in washing. Wash by hand or throw in the dishwasher.

I would buy one in a minute for a wedding gift. My son loves his, and uses almost every day. They cook faster than a propane grill, so have to watch them close. But the ease in cleaning makes it worth to keep on your counter and use daily. The grease runs off it, making the food much better for those on a diet or fat conscious.
...

This is the second George Foreman grill I have owned. The original grill was much, much smaller and I liked it enough to buy this larger version when I saw it for a great price.

The unit is stylish enough and both of the George Foreman grills I have owned seem to be made with high quality. I have never had any sign that there is any wear on tear with either grill.

I like that you can plug it in and it seems to be almost instantly hot, less then 5 minutes for sure. I also like the fact that it drains a lot of grease from the item you are cooking so it is definitely healthier. Pretty simple to use, just put the meat on the grill and close the lid, it cooks from both sides so no need to flip.

I don't like the little grease catching tray, it is too small for some of the greasier items, like hamburger patties. The grease spills out and makes a mess on the counter. I also don't like that it is difficult to clean. I have found a great, effective way to clean it but if you follow my......
