Gateway laptops are just more trouble than they are worth. Not only do I own one, but I know other people who also own them. At first they seem very nice, easy to use, and reliable. But I had mine for about 6 months and it broke down on me. The power jack went out in it and it would no longer recognize that it was plug in so no longer charge. Every one that I talk to has also had this very same problem. I even went out to get mine repaired and had a new jack put inside of it. It worked for another 4 months and did the same thing. It will no longer charge without having to arrange the cord is strange ways. It is only a matter of time before it goes out on me completly. I'm refusing to spend money on fixing the same problem again, and refusing to purchase another Gateway laptop. I thought they would be nice to have and at a good price. Boy was I completly wrong about that. My advise to anyone is to just not purchase one and find a better brand.

When I got this laptop it was only the second computer I have ever had......I had a rebuilt HP that ran windows 98, so when I got this one, I really saw what a computer really was. I got it at Fryes Electronics in Indy for $550.00 (that was including an extended warranty). So obviously the price was great.

I had always heard about all the different version of windows and had never used them so I was really worried about getting a new computer. I was really worried when I saw that it had Windows Vista which I had only heard bad things about. After the first two days I was just amazed at how great it was. I love a lot of the different little features on it. The built in web cam that can take video or still pics. The voice thing that can type what you are saying as you are saying it (dont know what people use that for, but it is just too cool)!

Long story short, this is a great computer at a great price and it runs amazingly! I would recommend it to anyone.

I used my laptop 24/7 for personal and business. This is my second one. I loved the first one so much, that I bought a second one. No problems at all with these laptops!

This is an awesome product. Great for the everyday user and as long as you treat it and all of your electronics with respect, they will last long and you will always benefit from them. This laptop wasnt my first choice but for financial reasons I ended up purchasing it. It is almost 2 years old now and I cant tell you one thing that I have had to fix or have repaired on it....and let me tell you im rough on it. Not only am I online daily but I also download music and videos and you cant even notice a difference in the processing speed as I am still doing many other things including surfing the web while all of this is going on. Whats great about it is it has a built in WI FI card and I have never once had to download software to connect to any internet connection I have had and believe me I have had several different carriers...currently I have over 400 songs and 120 videos. I havent even had to add memory or storage to it yet knock on wood lol. The one thing that isnt the greatest is the battery fully charged only lasts a little over an hour. Ive been told that maybe I need a new one but as technology moves forward im sure I will need a whole new computer soon so I just...

The Gateway P-7805u Notebook is great, it does everything a gaming computer should. It does run hot, so make sure to buy a cooling fan - the webcam is good and it has a great card reader built in. The video is great as it is HDMI and the keys aren't to close together. All around great product. The only con I have is the weight of the product, a little lighter than 9 pounds would be nice, but i know it's durable!

i find it easy to use my gateway laptop. it's a easy way to access information ,also a great way to stay in touch with friends and relatives....
