I am writing on my tablet right now. It is a good product. The tablet makes taking notes especially easy. It is easy to use. The only problem I have had is with a couple of the keys sticking and the #5 key broke off after a year of use....

Gateway Tablet laptops are dependable and versatile. If you are a slow typist and want to take notes this is the laptop for you. You can turn the monitor, lay it flat and write directly on it with a special pen. It can be drawn on, written on etc. As a student I found it invaluable as I was able to take notes quickly and add any diagram, chart etc right into the laptop. I saved tons of paper and have all my notes in one place. The abilty to turn the monitor makes it handy for Power-Point presentations too because you can control the presentation with the keyboard while letting others view it. Downside is you won't be able to see the presentation yourself.

On the downside I needed to buy a battery with a longer life in order to use it for classes because it isn't always possible to plug it in. Also the pen you use is relatively expensive to replace (~$50). It also runs somewhat hot so using it on a lap isn't really practical.

Overall it is well worth the extra...
...

I got my Gateway Tablet a year ago. It is awesome. I have so much fun with it. It is fast and I love the screen. I love to make handwritten notes on it and my kids love to color on it. I have had no problems with soft wear or program. I have thousands of pictures saved on my notebook and it hasn't slowed down at all.

The one problem I have had is sometimes a letter will stick. I usually have problems with the letter T sticking. I tried to fix it several times but, it still occasionally causes a problem. I live almost 3 hours away from the nearest Gateway store so I am reluctant to take it in for service. I wouldn't want it shipped out for repair and I have so many things saved on my tablet, I do not want a replacement.

Overall, I think this is a great computer and is lots of fun!
...
