The garmon nuvi 760 is a wonderful device that allows me to explore different areas without being worried about losing my directions. If i missed a direction it will reroute me automatically so i still arrive at my destination quickly. It also allows me access to phone numbers for destinations that I would normally have to call 411 to get. It will find generic destinations such as gas, restaurants, liquor stores, shopping, and other places. The constant charger helps it to always be ready when I need it. It also allows me to know the amount of time it will take to reach a destination and alternate types of routes. There are music options and blue tooth if you wish to use those services. The touch screen is great and makes it very easy to use and check many options. I like the freedom it provides when travellling and it lets me relax and not have to think about when my turn is coming or when we will be there!
...

I do not know how I got around before I bought this GPS system! I am constantly traveling to new places for work, and am always in need of directions. The Garmin has always gotten me to my final destination in one piece, and usually in a decent amount of time.

I like the many trip features the Garmin Nuvi 760 give you such as shortest distance, or shortest time. There is even an option to avoid tolls, and take detours. There is always an option available based on your needs. If you don't know the exact address you can find your location based on intersections, or even a search for a point of interest.

This model is packed with so many features. Some I might never use such as a currency converter, and foreign language dictionaries.

My favorite feature on this device is the FM transmitter that gives me up to date traffic, weather, news, movie times, gas prices, stocks, and even flight delays with MSN direct. This is an added feature available for the Nuvi and requires an additional one time...
...

since when It came to my life I am simply worry-free. I take it anywahere when I go for a visit. It is superperfect. Just I would expect it to have a better satellite accepting power. It takes a while sometimes to initialize while the signal strength is not good. Otherwise, I like it. You can spell the store ..or seach a type of restaurants. and it finds for you within secs. Now, I cannot imagine a life without this. You can also opt for avoiding tolroads or seasonally closed roads right in there. It works good with its blue tooth. So, I donot need a bluetoothf or my phone. However, some new roads I found that it could not search for. charges very quickly and the battery power is also very high. It automatically detects the night mode. It always finds shortest distance. also, I find the nowadays it has become so damn cheap that I could say it is a good value for money. I recommend my friends and families and want to gift one to my parents.
...

This GPS system is the greatest thing ever. We had one of the original Garmin GPS systems and it took forever to receive a satellite signal. We used to have to sit in the car for 10 minutes before we could get the system to start giving us directions. Now we have upgraded to the 760 and it connects to the satellite right awat. It is super easy to use and I never get lost anymore.
...

I'm the kind of person that can get turned around in the mall! The Garmin GPS is a lifesaver! We take it with us on all of our trips, it will take you directly to the hotel and anywhere else you need to go. Just punch in restaurant and there they are. The only problem that I have run into is that sometimes the restaurant isn't there any more or somethimes if I'm looking for something specific, I have to type it in because it doesn't always how up under just restaurants, etc. But with that aside, I couldn't make it out of the area without it. Also, I am a real estate agent and this little gadget gets me where I need to go!
...

I can even program it to avoid toll roads!
...

I bought this before going on a trip down on the coast of Texas. I'm not sure how I made it without this tool. We used it for everything. Food, hotels, gas stations and prices. I used to get lost walking out the door, not anymore! It's the perfect gadget for someone like me. Yes, the Garmin Nuvi 760 cost a little more than I wanted to pay but I don't regret it. It saved me a lot of time trying to find things I would normally have to stop and ask someone where it was.
...

I used to have a TomTom, which stopped working after only a few months. Upon getting my refund I decided to purchase a Garmin. It offered all of the same features as my other plus more. My Garmin-nuvi is so critical to my work that if I did not have it, I would not make as much money. I am a contractor so I drive at least 100 miles per work day. I used to print out my route using online map services, but the ink and paper costs were really driving into my profit. I can honestly say that I made back my money from this already affordable purchase within a month. I also appreciate that it recieves traffic information via satellite so I can travel the quickest and safest routes to my next destination. I have also grown to like traveling out of town now that I have a GPS. Mostly because there is not that worry or anxiety that I might have to stop and ask for directions, or make a hundred U-turns in one trip. I have been beyond satisfied with the features, which include bluetooth, the built in...
...

I purchased this Garmin so we would have it available for our day trips we tend to take. It sure does make us a lot more easy minded when traveling, as we know we will not get lost. This Garmin has turned us a wrong way once or twice, BUT it immediately put us back on the right track. I don't think any GPS system is fool proof. With construction the way it is these days it's hard for them to keep up with the quickest routes. I do enjoy my Garmin though and would recommend it to anyone that needs some help getting around.
...

I bought my husband the Garmin Nuvi760 navagational device for Christmas last year.It has preloaded maps, a wide 4.3 touchscreen display, bluetooth wireless technology for hands free calling. We have both used this Garmin many times in the last year. We started with small trips around town first to make sure it worked good. The only problem we had is that the garmin sometimes would take you the long way. We would turn where we nornally turned to go to someones house and then the garmin would recalculate and go the fast way to get there. We have used it on several trips out of state. It worked really well and didn't seem like it took us the long way, compared to mapping it on yahoo maps, it was the same directions on most of these trips.

The garmin is very user friendly. We like the large touchscreen display, which makes it easier for 2 people to watch it at the same time. We also like the voice that tells you when to turn and gives you plenty of notice before the exit .
...

The Garmin Nuvi 760 is a reliable and easy to use GPS. When this GPS came out, it was quite expensive but you can probably get used ones these days on the cheap. The unit comes with the base display, a suction cup for windshield mounting, a dashboard mount, cord to link up to the computer for updates, adapter, and a car charger. The display is a widescreen touch screen. This GPS is not voice activated.

In my opinion, this GPS does a nice job of getting you to your destination. You input the address and off you go! You can set avoidances like highways, tolls, ferries, and such if you desire. The nice feature is that based on the distance, it calculates your estimated time of arrival (ETA) at your destination. It also seems to take into account the speed at which you drive - of course, if you make stops along the way, your ETA changes as well.

One of the key features that led me to get this model over some of the other models (e.g., 600s) is the bluetooth technology and the text-to-speech...
...

I was recently on a trip to Niagara Falls with my daughter and had the pleasure of using her Garmin Nuvi 260. As soon as we got back to Texas, I began researching GPS models and ultimately selected the Garmin Nuvi 760. It has a selection of voices, both male and female, with different names and accents. I travel with "Karen" because I like her Australian accent, and she never lets me get lost no matter where I am. There is a build in FM traffic receiver as well as an optional MSN receiver which is built in to my car charger (and, FYI, works with whatever Garmin it happens to be plugged in to). The MSN receiver is by subscription but is well worth the price. I particularly love the "GAS PRICES" feature which displays nearby gasoline prices and then follows up with directions to any one you select so I always get the best prices on gasoline. That feature alone saves me money everytime I fill up! There are many features on this model that I have not had a chance to learn and...
...
