It works pretty well. It gets me where I need to go for the most part. However, it sometimes send me on a wild goose chase. Luckily I know where I am going most of the time. It works good, bottom line.

How much is this laptop? Do anyone feel it is worth it? I am looking for a new laptop, and this one looks cute. I have a toshiba, and it works. I want a computer that will look cute just like me. Not having grown up in the area I live now, I would frequently get anxious when going new places in unfamiliar territory. My husband finally decided we needed to get a GPS so he wouldn't' have to constantly receive calls from me (he grew up here) asking where in the world I was and where I was going! :)

We did a lot of research and ended up with a Garmin, and I'm glad we spent extra money on it. Only once in a fairly rural area did it fail us (couldn't pick up our location, and it was actually rather comical as our car on the screen just kept spinning around and around for about 5 minutes!) but luckily we already knew which way we should have been going and weren't relying on Garmin at that very point in time. I do wonder what would have happened though, had it continued to do that and never acquired the satellites? Garmin's voice is a little annoying too, but other than that I can't complain.

Wonder why it took so long for all these companies to come up with GPS devices that were...

I wouldn't puchase this item, because it doesn't tell me to turn quick enough. What's the use of having it if you're going to miss your turn!!!

I have used my Nuvi to take me from state to state. To find new local addresses. I've even used it walking in pedestrian mode. I like the blue tooth feature to take calls while driving. Its a great hands free device. The storage can be increased with a SD memory card. It stores music, pictures. Its a great addition to my toys.

suggestions:

1. gps must give shortest route to the destinations instead of programmed map for th destinations.

2. did not see delete tab for deleting the maps we do not use second time or not using frequently.

When I first got it, I thought it was the greatest thing ever. Now my opinion has changed slightly. I seem to loose the satelite in several areas now, or I can not even get an initial connection. Places like downtown Los Angeles is where my problems are, this is where I need it most. Overall it has defineately been a lifesaver, kept me from getting lost many times. It was a gift to me, has definately made me feel safer on the road, I feel like I am not alone.....

I like the interface, i like how it works. the only thing that i dont' like is a really strange accent in english voice giving the direction (seriously couldn't stand it)

well the best buy I ever made was my Garmin I do a lot of back road

traveling and really use my Gormin. It has helped me many times. Has

never failed me. If you do a lot of traveling get a Gormin it will take you

where ever you want to go.

I got the same GPS as the one metioned above and I think its a wonderful device to have at least when you go on a trip you dont have too worry about your husband, or boyfriend being to chicken to ask for directions!!!!!!!

My daughter and I bought her dad a Garmin-Nuvi for Christmas last year. He loves it, uses it around town even though he knows where he's going (he a guy, what can I say). This summer our daughter was going on a trip and asked to borrow our Garmin-Nuvi. She fell in love with it so for her birthday we got her one of her own. She's very much like her dad in that she knows where she's going but still uses the Garmin-Nuvi as she drives around town.

its a good prouduct to find places where u need to go it hasturn by turn action and it dose speak to u so u know when to make a a turn and it is a great price it give u helpfull hints easy to use and set up full color screen

My husband and I travel often and we just love our Garmin Nuevi 750. He got it for a christmas present. (It was only $100.00 on Black Friday!) We have used it more than I ever thought.

The options available are wonderful. You can set it for your home and just by the touch of a button, no matter where you are it will take you home! Also, in the mood to go out to eat? The resturant finder is excellent!

We used this to visit Columbus Ohio over spring break. Garmin was able to get us Cosi, the Science Center and then nagivate us around Ohio State Univeristy's campus! We woudl have never been able to do that with mapquest!

The best part of the Garmin, is that it is so user friendly! There are not alot of buttons or techinical parts to figure out. Also, when typing it will offer you options of what it thinks you are typing, which helps locating the information that much easier and faster!

I highly recommend this for anyone who has a car! It is very user friendly and a wonderful guide to where...
