I recently received this type of "Garden lucky bamboo" as a gift and it is so easy to grow! I started mine as a house plant , but will later transfer it to the outside. It is easy to train to whatever shape you like. I use twist ties or common string to get it to grow to the shape that i desire. It would also make a nice looking potted plant for the deck!...

Quick Tips: Lucky Bamboo
As millions of "lucky" consumers around the world have discovered, Lucky Bamboo makes the perfect house or office plant, needing little care but an inch of water and little direct sunlight to keep it happy and thriving...

What is Lucky Bamboo?

Known for centuries as Lucky Bamboo, the plant is not a bamboo at all (botanical name: Dracaena) but a resilient member of the lily family that grows in the dark, tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia and Africa.

How Much Care Does Lucky Bamboo Need?

Keep water fresh by changing it every week, and always keep water levels at approximately an inch from the base of the canes. Lucky Bamboo prefers plenty of indirect sunlight and room temperatures at 65-70o. Although opinions differ on feeding, your Lucky Bamboo is a living organism, so it makes sense to occasionally add a mild solution to the water such as African Violet fertilizer.
allieooop says "Easy to grow and Beautiful to look at!" about Garden Lucky Bamboo

Lucky Bamboo is a easy and simple plant to grow. The plants leaves turn yellow and can burn if put in direct sunlight. Many care tips and sites say to add fertilizer, however i have found that the plants leaves burn and upon researching the reason I found that the fertilizer burns the plant so you shouldn't use it....you can tell if this is happening if the tips of the leaves are brown. The BIGGEST thing to know is that flouride which is in Most Tap Water can burn and kill your Lucky Bamboo, you can find out how much flouride is in your tap water by contacting the water department, but since Lucky Bamboo is native to the floors of the rain forest FRESH RAIN WATER is Best for the plant, or spring water. If you still want to use tap water you should fill a tall glass(depending on the size of your plant) with tap water and let it sit over night(or about 24 hours) this will rid the water of flouride and other chemicals. Be sure to drain the majority of the water already in the plant before......
