GE Washer - WHDRR418G - our machine is barely 2 years old. I put a load in last nite and expected to take it out this mornig and put it in the dryer. The agitator/spin function does not work. Everything is soaking wet and now has to be lugged to my mom's to finish up.

GE washer WHDRR418G1WW. This machine lasted 1 year 4 months. motor LED trouble code "lock rotor". reseted the code, restart and same result. another word, this motor can not protect itself so it just drop dead. what a joke. Do not know what is the cause. tub, motor shaft, motor, belt and pully all spin by hand. This is a $200 part. about half of the cost of a new unit.

To say buy somthing else is not a good suggestion. Unfortunately GE may be buying the motor assembly from oversea, the same place other US mfg. buying theirs. where is the good ole quality control ? when will mfg take quality seriously. Has Wal-Mart train us to just throw away the junk and buy new ?

I purchased my first GE washer (a Hydrowave, WHDRR418GWW) in Nov. 07. This month Jan. 09), I called a local serviceman to address a drain problem. He fixed the drain problem but also told me that the "bearings" were going out on my washer and that I should call GE right away. GE sent a serviceman out, who said I need a new outer tub, mode shifter, and motor. GE will not cover the labor or service call because it has been more than 12 months (by two months) since I purchased the machine. However, I did not know to call before the local serviceman told me about the problem incident to servicing the drain. GE refuses to budge, and I will never buy a GE appliance again. Customers should not be held to the standard of appliance repair people in diagnosing problems with their machines.

The washing machine is very sturdy and self reliant. it is easy to operate. A full loader. And it gets your clothes clean. Does not cot a lot of money....

I have had my washer/dryer set for 6+ years and they are still standing strong with no problems. I love GE brand made products they are well made and efficient!...

I was worried about the reliability of washing machines in general after reading all the spotty reviews across different sites. Tried to make my best guess on this one, so far seems to be a great choice. We'll see how long it lasts!...

GE products are the best

I have used them for years they have become apart of my household, i can depend on GE products

they come with a good warrenty and they almost never every break down.

I can wash a large load in my washing machine my clothes come out clean, not like those small washing machine that they have in wash houses.

you can get your products serviced with no problem and customer rep are kind and very friendly,

i would not use any other product.

I will continue to use GE products i will recommend them to friends and family

well i bought this one 2 years ago, with the matching dryer, we did not have enough money to get a more expensive and better one. i dont know somehow my close do not come out clean. my babys clothes, awfull. but it still works and it does a good job if i do spray all the stains.

This washing machine runs very quiet. It is wonderfully quick also. All the different features also are great. I like the extra rinse cycle best because some things need a little bit more rinsing before it gets cleaned enough. There are special places for bleach and fabric sofener, making it easier for you so you don't have to remember to put it in. It also has a water level dial so you can choose how full to make the washer, to save you water. This was a very dependable, easy washer for a great price....

We bought this washer 3 months ago and I love it. It is so easy to use and gets your clothes clean. I also like the variety of settings. It keeps things simple. The only con is the washer is some what loud. It doesn't bother me though because I just shut the laundry room door. Plus we got great rebates for buying the washer and dryer!...

I love love love this machine. My old washer ate my clothes and everything came out dingy. Since purchasing me GE washer my clothes have never looked better! It is also easy to use. It doen't confuse you like a lot of products out ther e do with all there crazy buttons and settings but it does include exactly what you need in a self explanatory way....

This product is great. The name bran GE is good, and I trust all products by it. It is very quiet and saves water. I bought it at Lowe's a few months ago, and it is still in good condition. I have been a homemaker for 21 yrs. and have gone through 5 washing machines!

Usually, it doesn't matter what they say , they all still just wash your clothes. With this one I actually notice a difference in how nice my clothes look and how much longer they last.

This machine does not have a whole lot of dfferent settings that you will never use anyway, but just enough for what you need. I have not had any problems with it so far.
