I just got this GE Roaster Oven before Thanksgiving. We were making both a ham and a turkey so this was perfect and as a bonus I still had room in my oven for all of the side dishes. We made the ham in the roaster and it came out very tender and cooked up perfectly. I've since used this roaster for cooking several things including a pork roast and even a pot of beans using the left over ham! Everything comes out great and I'm very happy with it. In the past, I couldn't have cooked up that big ham bone in the beans because the crock pot wouldn't be large enough to hold everything. With this big roaster, the ham and beans were easy to cook and tasted wonderful. A friend that recommended it said she's even used hers to bake bread! I'm looking forward to being able to bake all summer without heating up the whole house. This is a great deal. The price is very reasonable and the possibilities are endless. You can't beat this GE Roaster Oven for over all value. I highly recommend it.
...

This is my second GE Roaster Oven. My first was lost during an out of state move. I never did find it. I finally got another after a wee bit of hinting around, ok alot.

I like the size and the color, it doesn't show every little drip that you miss like the older white ones. It doesn't heat up the whole house, a bit plus now that I'm in Texas. I love to cook and this is one of my favourite kitchen toys.

In addition to being useful for reunions and parties, I like to cook large amounts and freeze them for later use.Great for saving money, cook once, eat 4 or 5 times.LOL

I always spray mine down with canola oil, it makes cleaning later easier. I hate seeing those whilte ones that look like they've not been washed since the last time they were used, not really dirty, just stained and that bugs me.

I can cook anything in it that I can cook...
...

We picked up the GE Roaster Oven Model No. 169152 a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving. Since we were hosting a big Thanksgiving dinner at our place, I wanted to free up my stove and oven space as much as possible. The GE Roaster Oven looked like it would be a perfect choice since the turkey takes up most of the space in the oven and for the longest period of time. We bought it and I'm so glad we did!

GE Roaster Oven Model No. 169152

The GE Roaster Oven is a fairly large roaster. It measures about 2 feet long by 1 foot wide and 9-10 inches in height without counting the open space from the feet on the roaster. The GE Roaster Oven will hold up to an 18 pound turkey and 17 quarts of food.

The roasting unit is made of enamel, and the roasting pan is made of enamel over steel. The roasting pan sits down inside the roaster and has a matching lid. The lid fits snugly and securely. There is also a rack with handles to put down in the bottom of the roaster to make lifing your turkey/roast/etc.......
