It is pice of crap. I have owned one for 5 years and have had it gone out twice now costing $260.00 the first time. I am getting rid of it this time. The GE profile fridge and diswashers are equally bad . Just replace a dorr stop bracket on the fridge door. Dishwasher is very precarious. it woould come on sometimes but no others.
...

I spent about $500 for my GE profile microwave by the time I paid for the kit that goes around it as well. One year and three months after purchasing this the white plastic coating that is inside the microwave came off where the glass turning plates turns on the bottom of this microwave. I called the company immediately and of course was told sorry the warranty was only for a year. They then told me they did not have any other complaints. I have two other friends that also bought this microwave the same time I did. Guess what happened to theirs after their warranty ran out? The exact same thing. I now have to replace the microwave as do my friends. I am getting ready to purchase all new appliances and I will be looking carefully but not at the GE profile. I am very disappointed that this company will not stand behind their product when so many are having the same problem!!!!!!!

Oh! The front of the microwave also bubbled when something was cooking and now I have a big...
...

Had this installed in the wall above my built in oven during a total kitchen remodel. Very easy to use. Love the Express. Cooks everything perfect by directions on the food labels.

Nice turntable and very easy to clean.. Bought the trim piece and it looks nice also. It is all stainless on the outside. Did have to have repairman come and clean fingerprints from the factory between the glass. No problem came right out and cleaned under warranty.
...

We tried to cook bacon for the first time on our new GE Profile PEB2060. After a few minutes, it stopped heating anything. After we cooked the bacon elsewhere, the microwave cooled off and seemed to heat stuff again. I don't know if it is the sensor or what, but it doesn't seem to like bacon....

We have had this unit for about 5 months and I have no complaints with it. Granted, my wife is the primary user, but if she had a problem with it I'd have known VERY quickly.

The unit functions well. When it activates, a vent opens from the top....nice touch. It also looks sharp, which is another bonus.
...

mhitesman says "Unexpectedly thrilled !" about GE Profile Microwave

I bought this because it matched the new double oven range I was intending to put in my new kitchen. Convection ovens were not a big deal to me, and I chose to not have that in my new range ... BUT having a convection oven in the microwave space is a whole different thing! I never would have imagined I would use it at all -- let alone ALL THE TIME. I use it to bake cookies, cakes, reheat leftovers, etc -- anything that will fit and not splatter (it is not self cleaning, and also would be impossible to really clean easily). An extra oven always comes in handy, and it really IS an extra oven! What's more, it is really, really easy to use and intuitive as well. The one touch sensor buttons, with the dial, are by far the easiest setup I have ever had! You will love this microwave/convection/combo oven -- just like everyone else who has it. I had had mine only two months, and I have the white -- and vented outside. The fan has a good draw. Another nice, unexpected, nice......
