Replaced my 26 yr old GE with this one cos i thought it would be great. Should have thought better of it since i found it in my sons' apartment. Never was great at defrosting or melting anything, but otherwise worked okay. Then after 3 years it occasionally started to make funny sounds and now at 4 years it sounds like it might actually explode. Am currently looking for new countertop microwave, but finding it difficult at best. Not many good reviews. Also am looking for one for family of 5, so 1.5 CF to 2.0 CF if i can find it.

This GE MICROWAVE OVER WITH TURNTABLE IN BLACK is as nice in design as it is in performance! Not to mention price! When My GE over the oven microwave went suddenly I was without a microwave and that just wasn't going to fly in my home. Since GE was good before and I could ill afford to replace it at the moment decided a contertop model of the same style would fit the bill. Being on a tight budget I priced all different makes and models before settling on this one. Hubby would never even consider a microwave without a 30 second add on for rewarming his coffee so that is one feature I had to have! And GE was the ONLY microwave to include this feature. At under $60 it was a true bargain at Walmart. I even love the baked potato feature and the popcorn feature and the turntable. If you have a couple just starting out or a college bound child this is a wonderful item that will get plenty of use, is well worth the price and you will definately get your money out of it. Definately 5 Stars!

I bought my GE Turntable Microwave a few years ago, and it is still running as good as ever. It isn't the smallest , but a very good size for me. I can put it above my stove which make it very handy when cooking. I have only one negative to this little charm, and that is that it does not have a baking button. I really don't need that button, I just love it as it is.

It is very durable to say the least. A few months ago I made the mistake of putting something plastic in it, but what I didn't notice that there was a little piece of metal on the edge of the trim, and I had myself a bit of a light show going on. I thought for sure I had blown it up or something. To my surprise (after I braved up to try it again) It still worked as good as ever. I am so pleased with my GE Turntable Microwave that I would certainly endorse it to anyone.

It is very easy to to use , ever for Granny who doen't like these new gadgets. It is of course safer to use for Granny and older children alike, because...

When I moved I was looking for a smaller microwave for an increasingly crowded counter. I decided on the GE Turntable Compact Microwave. At first I was very happy with it, It worked great, heated and cooked perfectly. It was easy to use and I liked the presets. It was the perfect size. It was east to clean inside and out. The turntable seemed to really help with even heating and cooking. About two months ago though, just after the year-long warranty expired, I started having problems. It has started to cook unevenly, sometimes I have to run it several times to get it to heat something properly. Even something as simlpe as boiling water is a pain because sometines it works and sometimes it doesn't. Other times I'll be reheating something on a lower setting and it somehow switches to high power and overheats the food. I do frozen microwave meal sometimes and even though the turntable still works it somehow manages to cook on one side of the container but not the other,...

I purchased this microwave over from sears a couple of months ago. Needless to say I do not have a lot of counter space to work with in my kitchen so this microwave is perfect because it is compact enough and doesn't take up a lot of space. It also works great and it is very easy to figure out all the functions without using the manual. Great buy and reasonable priced compared to other microwave ovens.

I've had a basic black GE microwave with turntable for just over a year. At about 6 months the turntable quit. Repair man said it was grease under the turntable that caused burning and burned up the center post. I NEVER cook with fat and my microwave is immaculate. Now, at just over a year when the warentee is done, it happened again. There is the smell of burning hair and then the turntable quits. Same thing. It's too costly to fix. Might as well buy new. It WON'T be GE!...

I really do like my G E Turn table counter top microwave. I like that I need only press a button to heat a beverage, pop popcorn, reheat foods, or even bake potatoes quickly. I also like the 30 sec. button. I don't have to worry about over heating things like rolls, or bread. I don't have a lot of counter space, but this small microwave fits very well. I get alot out of this small appliance....
