One benefit of GE Dishwasher - Nautilus Convertible is that they are able to use strong detergents than human hands can generally tolerate. These detergents are more alkaline than the human hand can generally take, but since a GE dishwasher requires no human contact to clean dishes, they are fine for use within the cleaning cycle. Many GE dishwashers also come equipped with a heating element that allows the GE dishwasher to dry dishes very quickly.

The way this works is just like the way mine works. What is called a Unicouple and its hoses are in a storage compartment in back of the dishwasher. This gets attached to the faucet adapter. It requires a little bit of practice to get this Unicouple into the adapter and into place but after it is done a couple of times it is a piece of cake. carries drain

It is very easy to clean. I wash the top with soap and water. The outside I'll either use soap and water or I'll spray some Fantastic on the front and sides.

My daughter and I both love that we don't have to pre-wash the dishes for them to come out clean.

G.E. has a limited one-year warranty on this machine.

I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a portable dishwasher that has a few extra bells and whistles....

To the Point

My daughter and son-in-law wanted a portable dishwasher for their apartment in NYC. They just moved and have a built-in dishwasher. We are getting their portable to replace ours. In any case we all love it. I did the research on portable dishwashers for them when they decided to buy one. This is the Nautilus Convertible Dishwasher by General Electric Model # GSC3400J.

A Closer View

It comes in two colors – white and black. Theirs (I’ll use the present tense since it is now in their storage room in Connecticut.) is white. It isn’t inexpensive coming in around $550.

It has several wonderful features. The first is the laminate wood top which is a light wood grain color. Not only is the top very pretty but it is very functional.

It measures about 36 inches high by 27 inches deep by 25 inches wide.

The Nautilus is Energy Star qualified. It has five wash levels including a wash power scrub system; it has a crystal cycle which I thought would be great for their...
