pitcherday says "Average users may find FinePix E900 too much camera" about Fuji FinePix E900 Zoom Digital Camera

The FinePix E900 was my first digital camera. I looked all over for the best camera for the price point I wanted. FinePix E900 was recommended and it was a great value for the price. The problem is that it was my first and it has SO many settings. There are so many menus and submenus and it took me a while to figure it out. I loved the movie feature, but the files ended up being HUGE. I couldn't figure out how to make them small enough to email so I had to end up posting links to YouTube for the movies and they were 20 sec or less. My new camera is a FinePix also and I am finding it has the same problem as the E900 - the flash is WAY too strong in many indoor situations. With the E900 you have to take the picture with flash and then usually turn the flash off to get it right. OK if people are posing, but you may get unsatisfactory indoor pictures until you get a feel for if the flash will be too strong.

It uses 2 AA rechargeable batteries, which are included with the charger. It's a plus...
...

nollik says "An excellent basic digital camera, but...." about Fuji FinePix E900 Zoom Digital Camera

When I was looking for a replacement for my first, ancient, digital camera I went to Consumer Reports and found one of their Best Buys- I have never gone wrong with that approach. This camera is indeed worth the money, easy to use, fine pictures, great video clips, easy to change resolution, battery life is good, the camera is compact. I've taken hundreds and hundreds of pictures. But the one problem is that with enlargements the sharpness loss is very apparent, and was disappointing for me- I thought surely a 9 megapixel would do better. My next camera WILL do better....

chefrenee says "not the best camera I've owned" about Fuji FinePix E900 Zoom Digital Camera

This camera was difficult to learn to use. The flash does not come on unless you tell it to each time you use it. You can change the F settings to compensate for the darker setting, but that is time consuming. This is not a good camera for beginners. I have not been impressed with the pictures, either....

appaj00ce says "Wonderful! Everything an amature needs in a manual camera! " about Fuji FinePix E900 Zoom Digital Camera

This camera has taken many many great photos for me. The manual settings are great for an amature photographer and the auto settings are great too. The LCD screen lets you know when more light is needed for a great picture. Macro setting is great for closeups. I can adjust shutter speed and aperture in a second. I've had this camera for a year and have had no technical problems with it. 9.0 megapixels so my pictures come out perfectly. It's a quality camera for the price....
