I just moved into a condo and have a space for the washer/dryer in the bathroom. It fits perfectly, runs quietly, utilizes only a small amount of water and cleans the clothing without beating it up. I love the fact that it is a stackable but also has a small work space between the washer/dryer. It helps to have a space to place folded clothes. The only thing that is a little anoying are the buzzers which signal the process is complete on both the washer and dryer. They are extremely loud. Stackables are generally placed in smaller living units and so alerting the consumer when the wash or drying is done can be done more quietly since the user is generally in the next room or close by. Tone it down a bit.
...

I replaced my apartment size GE 27" washer/dryer combo with the FRIGIDAIRE Galaxy front load stackable washer&dryer. I am extremely happy with my purchase. The washer and dryer are amazing and comes with many simple features. I did alot of research before my purchase, because I was limited to space. This unit actually fits better. I would definately recommend to anyone in the market for a new unit. ...

gotasian says "It is very space efficient and does not waste a lot of water" about Frigidaire Stacked Washer & Dryer

The front loading washer works well and is extremely quiet. The washer is so quiet that is can be hard to tell if the machine is even running without actually looking at it. The dryer is not as quiet, and I would say it makes about as much noise as a typical stand alone dryer.

IThe machine is quite heavy and the packaging is bulky. We had two adult men to move the dryer from the driveway to the laundry area and it was a bit of a struggle at times. Obviously we expected a heavy unit for a washer dryer, but it was even heavier and bulkier than expected.

The only annoying thing about this unit so far is that it does not seem possible to turn off the end of cycle alert for the dryer. It seems a bit odd for a machine that prides itself on being quiet to have a very loud annoying buzzer that can not be turned off. I am seriously thinking about taking the unit apart and finding the buzzer to disable it.
...

CarlyRV says "Perfect for apt., condo, in-law suite, guest or pool house." about Frigidaire Stacked Washer & Dryer

I loved my stacked washer dryer. It's great for singles or couples. It fit in a regular sized double closet, next to the water-heater. Hubby hooked it up in less than 1/2 hour and I was doing laundry. It washed very well, worked GREAT. I especially liked having the dryer at eye level, and found it easy to reach into. However, king-sized quilts or king bedspreads do not fit, which is okay if they have to be dry-cleaned, but a pain if you have to go to a laundry-mat. King sized sheet sets do fit along with a few hand towels. This is a perfect sized for singles, couples,

Cons: this probably would not be the best size for a large family - unless every member does their own, (not a bad idea), nor for someone who prefers to do the whole weeks laundry at one time like my mom did.

I purchased mine new and paid less than mfg. retail suggested price. I used it for over a year in the condo. ... then when we were moving, a neighbor down the hall offered to buy it for more than I had paid for it. ......
