It's the first set I've gotten brand new and I've never regretted it once. They are large capacity and heavy-duty machines.  It seems like they're both being run almost constantly and they just keep going and going. I've had them for seven years with just one service call each while still under warrantee. A small item had fallen out of a pocket and jammed beneath the washer's agitator so that it couldn't move, and a knob broke on the dryer.<br/><br/>This washer and dryer set were both from Frigidaire's economy line and I would buy them again. It doesn't seem like the ones I have will be breaking soon, though.<br/></p>... We didn't need all the bells and whistles, but wanted something that did a great job and was quiet. Fridgidaire fit the bill! I have always had top loading washing machines. They would only hold an average size load of clothes. If I had any large items to wash I had to go to the local laundormat. This was always an inconvenience and costly. I have washed as many as 8 pairs of overalls and jeans in my Frigidaire front loading washing machine. It has yet to fail to get my clothes clean. I use less electricity per week because I can wash larger loads in a lot less time. The front loading washing machine uses a miniminal amount of water to wash a full load of clothes. The front loading washing machine uses half the amount of water that my old top loading washing machine used. The Frigidaire front loading washing machine shows how long the load will take to finish. You can check on the machine at any time to see how much longer it will be before the current load of clothes is finished.</p>&#13; <p> </p>... The reliability of a company that manufactures major appliances was what we  were looking for when we decided to purchase a new washer and dryer for our home.  We wanted the stacker set and the customer service was awesome in helping us decide on which models we wanted to purchase withteh features we wanted plus the affordability that we needed. We purchased the Frigidaire Model 1442 dryer and Frigidaire Model 2140 front load washing machine.   We had one minor problem with the dryer unit but the dryer was replaced within a week with no problems since. We would recommend  Frigidaire for anyone looking for majpr appliances....
