I wanted gas but the reviews for the Frigidare Range changed my mind and I am happy with the product. The cooktop heats up quickly and has been easy to keep clean. The oven also heats quickly and seems to cook faster even without the use of the convection unit. I have not had to use the self-cleaning feature yet, but plan to this weekend - I'm sure I won't be disappointed. I love the middle rack that automatically comes out when you open the door - what a great feature that saves me from burnign my hands! The middle rack also offers a feature where half the rack comes off so you can cook tall dishes on the bottom rack and still have full use of the top rack and both halves of the bottm and middle racks. It sure offers plenty of space for cooking for large meals.
...

I've had my Frigidaire Electric Range for two years now, and have never had one single problem. I cook A LOT and bake A LOT, and after all the use I've put on my Range, I'd almost expect some wear and tear on it. However, it continues to cook at an even temperature and still looks great.

The best part about this particular model is...it's self cleaning! That is awesome! And when they say it's self cleaning, they really mean it. However, you need to do it on a day that is warm outside because the windows have to be open to clean the oven. It puts off a very bad, very strong odor, so if you don't ventilate the house, you may feel ill. Also, the oven gets extremely HOT while it's cleaning, so be sure to have any small children away from the area. Self cleaning takes several hours, so be sure to give yourself enough time to use this feature. When the time is up, you'll have a nice clean oven and you don't have to do anything extra except give it a very quick wipe down.

The range...
...

angel28960 says "A pretty good oven in the low to medium price range" about Frigidaire 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Range

When the electrical panel on our range broke a month ago, my initial reaction was mixed. I was bummed that we had to spend $600 on a new one, but I was also secretly thrilled that we could get rid of the ceramic cook-top I hated so much. I did a little bit of research and decided on a particular coil-top oven. However, when we got to Best Buy, they didn't have a single coil-top model in stock. Since I didn't want to wait 8-10 weeks for delivery, I decided on the Frigidaire 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Range, which unfortunately featured the hated ceramic cook-top.

The Specifics (from Best Buy's website)

2 oven racks with 6 positions

Two 9" and two 6" cook-top elements

Upswept cook-top and smooth-top design contains spills for easy cleanup

Surface element and hot surface indicator lights let you know the cook-top is still hot

Self-clean oven feature

Visualite window with clear glass and oven light lets you see the cooking progress without opening the door and releasing...

...
