Birdsy says "Franks is hot" about Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce

I love spicy foods but the recipe that is requested most often is from Franks hot sauce. The recipe can not be made with other hot sacues just doesn't taste as good. Its basically a buffalo chicken dip with 1 cup of the hot sauce and other ingred; mixed, heated, and serve. Its so funny that every time I make it, I'm asked for the recipe and requested to make again.

The other good thing, is that BJ's carries the brand and I can buy it in large bottle sizes. I generally don't like to buy such large proudcts, but with Franks, I tend to go through it often enough to make it worth while.

The other good thing about the sauce is that its so flavorful you don't need to prepare much else with what you are cooking. I can mariante some chicken; grill and vioila, done! My friends family uses it like kethcup and keeps it on the table. I think they even use it for breakfast.

Price is reasonable as well.
...

I was introduce to Franks Hot sauce about 8 years ago. It is the best hot sauce that I have ever eaten. Most hotsauces have more of a tabasko taste no real flavor. I put Franks on everything my eggs, potatoes ,meat and I include in all my recepies. I have a chicken wing recipie that is to die for.
...

condom says "It's hot with flavour. It's "Frank's Hot Sauce" for wings." about Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce

Frank's hot sauce is probably one of the very few hot sauces that does not taste like Tobasco sauce or tomatoe paste. It has its own special and unique taste. So good in fact, you can drink it. Frank's hot sauce can be added to any meat. On chicken wings however, it's the best. If applied correctly to the surface of most meats the sauce is absorbed, therefore, It's not sticky or saucy. You're not licking your dirty fingers. You're tasting the true flavour of the meat&sauce combination. That's the secret I think. Trully a great eating experience.
Most hot sauces will will cause you to choke and some can ever burn your insides for days. Other hot sauces can trigger heartburn. If you want a great sauce on your meats with no aftereffects, try "Frank's hot sauce", there's nothing better. It might be "hot" but it doesn't burn. It's just Hot with flavour!
...

I recently discovered Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce when a recipe I was trying called for it. The recipe was a chicken dip appetizer that is also written on Frank's website. Lets just say that it was such a HUGE hit. I couldn't keep enough on the table! Everyone was asking for the recipe. I am now addicted to Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce. I put it on a lot of different foods including pizza, baked chicken breasts, and traditional chicken wings. A lot of other buffalo wing sauces that I have tried go from one extreme to another; either way to hot or too bland for my taste. Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce seems to get it just right!
...

Floppaboat says "Not bad, but lacking in any real heat. There are better options." about Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce

Frank's has a splendid line of sauces out there for our consumption. however, this is probably the worst of the bunch for making Wings. The Buffalo Wing Sauce here in question goes on the wings straight, with nothing added. The flavor isn't that bad, but it lacks any kick at all. If you don't like heat this is a good sauce for you. However, you can make a wing sauce that is far better using Frank's ORIGINAL Red Hot or better yet, Frank's Xtra Hot. Mix either one of these sauces about 2-1 with melted butter and you have an outstanding traditional wing sauce. If you like a milder sauce, use this or simply mix the Original Frank's 1-1 with butter. Any less than a 1-1 mix you have a butter wing and not a buffalo wing. If you are truly a hot wing fanatic that really loves the heat, use Frank's Xtra hot 2-1 with melted butter and toss about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of Dave's Insanity sauce in there. Dave's won't change the flavor of the sauce at all, but will add a tremendous amount of heat. You can......

I use & pre-fer the "Original Franks Hot Sauce"-That can be toned up or toned down as needed...for each person. Not the wing sauce.

Frank's Red Hot has Been around for over 80 years, created in buffalo New York.

Franks Red Hot "Original" comes in many sizes from the simple table shaker to big bulk bottles. I have a shaker for the table and a big 23 oz. that I bought at sam's in a (twin pack of two 23 bottles for cooking).

I prefer this sauce because of the smooth flavor & taste adds just the right amount of kick.Used plain it will still make you sweat a little, but not compaired to the other brands out there that will make you run for the milk carton ..

I tone it down with butter to make a mild sauce, so both me and my kids can enjoy.I keep the shaker bottle for anyone to add more if they like it hotter.

The tone down recipe on the bottle (1/3 cup butter or less - 1/2 cup franks red hot)

I use it mostly for my:

chicken wings

chicken fingers- ( breaded deep fried chicken breast strips)...
...

You can use Frank's many ways to spice up different foods. I use it for chicken wings as I deep fry half the way, coat them with Franks and margarine, then bake them!! Just a great sauce you can add to hamburghs, texas red hots, and scrambled eggs!! Just the right amount of flavor and not over powering as far as it being hot..Just right!...

As a vegetarian I cook a lot of vegetables so I am always looking for ways to add a lot of flavor to dishes without a lot of effort. This is the perfect hot sauce with just the right amount of spice. The flavors blend to give you a zesty kick and gradually increase so that you can savor just the right amount of flavor, but not too hot. This sauce tastes amazing on almost anything. It comes in a 12 ounce bottle, but you only need a dash for some flavor. It works well as a meat marinade and dipping sauce. It's a great blend of cayenne peppers and makes a wonderful buffalo spiced marinade or creamy dip with just the right amount of spice. This sauce will add great flavor to any dish that is not only just the right amount of heat, but so much flavor....
