For several years now I have participated in a fantasy football league. This is the first year that we took the league to foxports.com, the two previous years we had been playing through Yahoo. Yahoo had been a pretty good experience but the players in our league had heard good things about Fox sports so we figured that we would give it a shot.

There are several positive and negative things that you need to know about Fox Fantasy before you join or create a league.

On the negative side, Fox Fantasy does not support Mac users. This created a huge problem for our league of 12 players, whom over half are Mac users. Mac users are able to log on and check scores and any of the other options that that Fox Fantasy interface allows. The problem is that Mac users cannot set their line-ups or make any sort of player transaction. Being a Mac user myself I found it very annoying that I had to find a PC to use anytime I needed to propose a trade or set my line-up for the upcoming week of games....
...

brevans40 says "Greatest FREE fantasy football game ever" about Fox Sports Fantasy Football

I've been playing fantasy football for 2 years now and have looked many places on the internet to find the right one. When I tried the FOX FANTASY FOOTBALL it was very easy to sign-up and start drafting with other teams right away. It's very easy to change players assignments (Active, Reserve, etc.) and keep track of all the players on your squad. You also compete weekly with other members. They usually restrict the leagues to 12 teams in a division. I would highly recommend trying this out....

Saxguy says "My favorite fantasy football game site" about Fox Sports Fantasy Football

Fox Sports is my favorite fantasy football site.

For those who don't know, in a fantasy football league, fantasy players select professional players to put on their teams. Scoring on a particular Sunday is based on how well your particular players do.

There are plenty of sites where you can play for money, but I am more interested in playing for fun. I've played free fantasy football at Fox, at NFL.com and at Yahoo but I like Fox the best.

It has free live scoring for your fantasy team. Yahoo charges for that. The Fox interface not only shows the game your fantasy team is in but has a superior interfaace where you can click on the pro game scores reported on the menu above and it will open the game summary for that particular pro game in a new window.

You can participate in a live draft or an automated draft. Fox provides player rankings that can be adjusted by the player. Lots of players enjoy live drafts because of the experience. I don't do that because, if my wife finds something for me......
