vanheve2 says "Fox News is a joke" about Fox News

Fox news only has one agenda: To make the GOP and conservative movement look good. The vast majority of its guests are far-right in the political scale. When they are the ONLY major network not to carry Presidential speech coverage Live when its a Democratic President, its proof they are not balanced.
...

HildelaDell says "Conservative News, But Questionable Slant to the Facts" about Fox News

As a conservative, I enjoy getting my news for a conservative source. Fox News has very good quality news, addresses pertentant issues, and goes in-depth on important events.

While a great many of their guests are legitimate experts on the subject they are addressing, other times they have no more qualifications to talk about political events than I do. I can be a "political expert" too. It frusterates me that the only great source for conservative news can't provide solid, well-informed guests who make a living on what they are voicing their opinion on.

Finally, I feel as though Fox News is sometimes so focused on presenting the "conservative side" of issues that they don't really focus on what the issue is. For example, during the Swine Flu outbreak in the United States, Fox News focused on illegal immigration. This would have been pertinent if illegal immigrants had brought swine flu with them when they were smuggled in, but the outbreak started from New York students who went on...
...

Fox News has so much great information. They always give a fair newscast. I find that Fox News tells me the side of issues that other channels do not. I love to be able to get the whole picture rather than one side. It also has the most up to date news. I feel that I can turn this channel on and my kids can watch also because it is family friendly....

Ninamyers85 says "Most-watched - this is the way America thinks" about Fox News

FOX News prides itself on winning the Cable news networks ratings games consitantly, and reminds us of the fact (consistantly).

But they have a right to brag. Not only do they consistantly win that ratings game, but that implys something else all together - the mind of Americans are relected in the minds of FOX News.

Sure, O'Reilly is an editorial reporter - but his editorial thoughts are held by a large percentage of the nation. Yes, the reports seem to lean heavily on stories about anti-abortionist rallys, John McCain's possible VP pick, and comments by popular GOP heroes, but the truth stills stands tall - America is largely Right-Leaning.

And so FOX News can continue on with its editorial shows, its Republican promotions, its Right-handed handling.

America will continue watching. And so will I.
...

While many consider Fox news to have a right wing slant (and they are probably correct), it is a nice answer to the extreme left wing slant of MSNBC, the slightly less extreme leftism of CNN and probably the only place you'll see the good news coming out of Iraq and Afghanistan. I've spoken with quite a few veterans of these campaigns and find the reporting of Fox to correlate more closely with the stories I've been told by these vets. They also seem to be the only news outlet on T.V. not in the bag for Barack Obama. They do tend to report the difficulties of both candidates campaigns, as well as the sucesses. I get so tired of Keith Oberman's "Worst Person" bits, and Chris Matthew's tingling leg, that to hear the truth about the real Obama is refreshing. It certainly makes it easier to chosse come November.
...

a26c331 says "It really is a balanced newscast. " about Fox News

I think sometimes we associate opinion programs with the news. While Fox has alot of conservative talk-shows (one of the few networks that do), they report the news. The news without interjecting their opinions and slants. I know everyone thinks they do because they are so different from networks, but that is because networks are actually the ones with a slant. If you watch all programs with an open mind, take some time to do your research and form your own opinions, then you will benefit from this network. Both sides need to be heard. I also think that political affiliations help form opinions on this network without taking the time to really listen. I don't think Fox news is right-wing (many of the talk shows are---but the news is not!) I think it just is not left-wing; something we are not used to... A vast difference from the mainstream media. Really. Hannity and Colms is a very good program to watch to get both sides of an issue and they give you a good springboard to research more....
...

Until about 15 years ago I never really watched a lot of News programs as I always thought I had better things to do. Once I became disabled I began to watch more and more news programs. I have watched them all CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN and FOX out of them all I have become almost an exclusive FOX watcher. They seem to be a little less biased in their reporting of events in my opinion anyway.

They have a variety of different programs I watch on their News Channel such as The O'Reilly Factor, The Line Up, Geraldo at Large and The Beltway Boys. The only one they have I don't like is Red Eye, I watch it on occasion but not really a fan of that one.

I like how they show both sides of every issue and give each a chance to give their side of things. I especially like Bill O'Reilly as he doesn't take any crap from anybody on the show no matter which side they are on. It is refreshing to watch such programming and I am now enjoying watching the news.

I guess once you get older......
