Folgers Classic Roast Coffee is the best coffee for my tatse buds. When I was yuoung I had my first cup of coffee and that coffee was the Folgers brand, the classic roast to be exact. My parents drank Folgers coffee and I just kind of went along with the house hold brand. I enjoyed my coffee at home as I grew up and never really thought to much about it. As I grew older and moved out on my own I started to try other brands of coffee. In the supermarket isle there is so much to choose from, who can possibly figure out what each is like and be able to compare them to each other when you buy different brands weeks apart. I would just grab whatever brand, usally the cheapest brand is what I would end up with. As I got older I found that I tended to lean towards the old Folgers Classic Roast. I still tried other brands but always went back to the classic Roast of Folgers. Now that I am close to fourty years old all I will drink is Folgers. To me Folgers is what coffee should taste like. Folgers has a great taste and you can ususally pick it up for less than most mass produced coffee

Folgers Classic Roast Coffee has become an inferior product! I brew just 4 cups in the morning and for years 9 scoops of coffee was sufficient for a good tasting coffee. Not anymore. I now must use 11 or 12 scoops to have any taste and then it is weak. I believe the coffee beans and/or roasting process has changed with an adverse effect on the quality of brewed coffee. P&G sold Folgers to J Smuckers last year so that may be the reason. During this recession, all companies are cutting corners; maybe Folgers is too. Very sad!...

I use Folgers for it's smooth taste. It also has so many different varieties that will fit just about any coffee drinker. It has a strong taste and a "kick" to get your day started. I have tried other brands, and always come back to Folgers. I would recommend it to anyone. It is not bitter, as some coffee's are. It has a rich taste. Very good....

If you read me here and elsewhere you know that I've a healthy regard for Folger's Coffee. Give me their Columbian, Gourmet Supreme or Black Silk and I need nothing more exotic.

But, when it comes to their Classic Roast, the word "flaccid" jumps into my head. Trust me, I know that this is not an adjective generally used with the noun, coffee. Nonetheless, it's the word that comes to mind.

Weak, limp, it does nothing for me. It reminds me of Maxwell House Original Blend, another insipid coffee. That makes sense. I grew up in the Northeast. Maxwell House was the popular home blend in that region at the time.

I believe that Folger's had more mid-western roots. But as time has marched on either brand is available nation-wide.

Folger's Classic Roast Coffee

I am a died in the wool coffee drinker who started too many years ago to remember. Everyday I drink a pot of coffee, rain or shine, summer or winter. Typically I make it in a no name drip coffee maker that Wal-Mart sells but I also have a percolator and an expensive drip maker, too.

No matter what kind of coffee maker I use, Folgers Classic Roast always comes out rich, smooth, and enjoyable.

I should mention I drink coffee black, with no additives but people who like cream and sugar also drink my coffee and say it's the best.

My standby brand is Maxwell House Regular Blend, but if the store is out of that for some reason, my second choice is Folger's Classic Roast Coffee. I find it is just a little weaker than Maxwell House so I add an additional half scoop of grounds and enjoy piping hot delicious coffee just like I do every day.

With Folger's Classic, you know you will get good consistent quality and your coffee will always be what you expect, and......

I have drank a lot of coffee in my life I've tried Maxwell house, Hills Brothers and just about all i drink from 4 to 8 cups a day have for about 40 years now and always make it back to Folgers classic. You just cant beat the rich taste and aroma i like just about all Folgers coffees i even try the flavored every once in a while. But mainley you can't beet just brewing a fresh pot of Folgers classic You just can't stop at 1 cup. ...
