So I waited till my daughter was one to get a monitor. I thought there was no way for a monitor to work the length or distance of our house. We had to buy an expensive phone and it still does not work the entire distance! I picked this one up because I had to do something so our daughter would be sleeping in her own room. Oh, how I wish I had bought this a year earlier. I can get so much more done knowing she is safe in her bed. I can work in the yard or on the opposite end of the house. It also has a loud beeping sound if the monitor end is turned off. The battery is long lasting and recharges by plugging it in. It is also very sensitive to sounds, It picks up her moving around in her bed. I am very pleased with this purchase and can't wait till we have a nother child and I use it from the very beginning. I could have accomplished a lot more if I had had this monitor from the day we came home from the hospital.
...

I bought a mid priced brand, but I did expect it to last. We don't tote around the monitors and they are usually in one spot. Despite this, it didn't last even a year. The reception was clear when it did work though.

It's really annoying that even today things fall apart so much. Especially baby related items! It's a time when you can't afford to waste even a little bit of money and baby monitors, even this less expensive model are pricey!! For that much money I would expect to be able to use it for the next few babies and give it away in working order when I'm done!!!
...

The Fisher Price Dual Connector Monitor was a great buy, still have it and use it and I will use it for the next baby too. It comes with 2 receiver and the base. The receivers have lights that go off at any slight wisper and we love that, beside it also reproduce the noise too of course but the light it's a nice plus. It has 10 channel availability and it has 2 chargers included. It's a very good buy for the money, I would suggest it to first time parent that like us are very protective and worried that we will not hear him when he needs us, well these monitors do the jobs and it's a great piece of mind. It beeps when is about to go off so that you can charge it on time and that's good too (also you have always a second one in the mean time that you plug it in). It also gives you the batteries options in case you have to bring it out and about with you in vacation, maybe camping. Overall very good buy, I would buy it again.
...

We got this as a baby shower gift and thought it was just what we wanted. The Fisher Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Recievers, had two receivers wo we were able to put one in our room and one in the livingroom. We tried to use batteries in it at 1st, but they died after two days. After about a month of using them, they both became soooo staticy and we were unable to hear our child. I tried switching channels but nothing seemed to work. We ended up having to buy a different monitor, so this ended up being a waste of money. I would not recommend!!!

My brother and sister-in-law also have these monitors. Although they have not had to buy another one yet, they were using them for about 6 months when one of the Fisher Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Recievers, receivers stopped working all together. The other one sounds like there is something rattling around in it all the time. I am betting that it won't be long before they replace them.

I have had this monitor system for 3 1/2 years. It has worked great up until recently, the 2 receivers are going bad. I have been trying to find replacement receivers but can't so I'm just going to buy the same system. We have used ours day and night this whole time...I think 3+ years now-a-days makes for a superb product!!!I was surprised by the negative reviews on this monitor. I have been using this monitor since my daughter was born last May, and we have had no problems with it. Our house is on the smaller side, and all the rooms are on one level, so that may be part of it. I have noticed some static if I go outside with the receiver, but even then I could still hear well enough to know if she was awake. Inside, I have had no static issues. My husband jokes that the monitor is so sensitive, you could hear an ant crawling, but I like that I can hear my daughter breathing on the monitor. Battery life has been really good too, we are just now noticing the rechargeable batteries need to...
...

We recieved the Fisher Price Private Connection monitor with Dual receivers as a baby shower gift. The extra monitors are convienent and allow us to walk around the house or be in another room and have the monitor with us. The sound quality is good and is sensitive enough that I can hear my daughter breathing at night even though the monitor is on the dresser across the room! The sleek style is nice. Easy to operate. The battery lasts for several hours when not on the AC adapter. If the channel is lost the monitor alarms to allow you to check on the baby and the connection. We have not experienced any interference with the monitors except when the planes from the airport nearby fly too low. The monitors are affordable and I highly recommend them to other parents. The monitor features both light and sound responses so not only will you hear your little one screaming the monitor lights up in bright red. pretty.
...

The Fisher Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Recievers is the best money we ever spent. We love them! I love that there are dual recievers so I can keep one in the bedroom and one in the living room. I don't have to carry the reciever everywhere I go. I also love the light/sound feature. Sometimes you aren't sure if you heard them crying so you watch for those lights. I also love that when signal is lost your receivers begin to beep letting you know there is a problem. I love these monitors! We have never had any problems.
...

I think this is a really good monitor, except for one thing... when it's on there is a screen on the receiving end that indicates the battery level and the channel, HOWEVER when it's in "idle" mode there is no on indicator light. it comes with two receiver's and I keep one upstairs and one downstairs, but I never know if it's on because there is no light to indicate if it's on or off.
...

I received this monitor as a gift from my father who found it at Big lots. I was sceptical at first since the store where he bought it doesn't always mean great things. However I have been using this for a few weeks now and love all the features. It has many channels so you don't feel like you have to put up with an interupted signal. The product is very light also!
...

Fisher Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers was a gift we received before our daughter was born. WIth it having two receivers, we are able to leave one in the bedroom and have the other in the family room, so we can hear our daughter where ever we are in the house. I like that the receivers have sound and light functions. I can turn the sound down and still see the red light if my daughter is crying or fussing. It has great reception and very little feedback. I like that the red light only comes on when the baby makes a noise and not from her music in the room, so I know for sure she is the one making the noise. I like the different channels offered on the monitor to help keep out interference from neighboring houses....

The monitor and receivers are all very sturdy and have withstood two children and lots of drops on the ground. When operated with batteries they last a very long time. The only complaint is that they do not work well if you want a quiet night. Monitors have a lot of static background noise even when close to the base.Overall this is a very good monitor system for the money....

Prior to the birth of our first son we searched for a baby monitor that would suit the needs of our household. The Fisher Price Private Connection Monitor had most of the features we were looking for, including dual monitors to keep in different rooms of the house or to keep with each parent. The cost was around $60.

The Private Connection Monitor has 10 channels which was also a must for our family because we were concerned that other baby monitors in the area would pick up reception from our monitor. With the 10 channel option you lesson the possibility of someone using the same channel with their own monitor.

The reception was also clear and distinct. We could hear our son breathing while using the monitor which helped put our mind at ease when he was a newborn.

The most convenient feature, I found, was the belt clip that allows to keep the monitor with you at all times and still remain hands free. This is essential for days I would be moving from room to room and needed my hands for...
...
