It is a stuffed puppy that has a mechanical component that teaches colors, parts of the body, the alphabet, and sing common childhood songs.  It is a lovable pup that asks for hugs and teaches "so big" it has buttons on all four paws and one ear and has a heart button, too. It's one of the cutest ways to teach a young child the parts of the body it will say "heart, red heart" when you press the heart button and the heart button is red, it says "ear, blue ear" when you press the ear button and the ear is blue, it has a green paw, and a yellow paw, a paw that has a music note to initiate the songs and a paw that turns it on and off and switches it from learning mode to singing mode.  It is so cute and whenever my son accidentally turns it off he says "uh, oh".  It just makes me laugh every time. </p>... My daughter got it when she was about 6 months old, she is now almost 2 and still plays with it all the time. You can change the settings to play music, learn colors and body parts. Each paw has a different thing, plus the ear, tummy and a red heart in the middle. It sings quite a few different songs, and its names colors plus body parts, example blue ear when you press on the ear. It was as little hard for her to figure out exactly where to push the paws at first, you have to get them in a certain spot in order for them to work. Its ony around twenty five dollars or less so its a pretty good deal for a toy like this too. The batteries seem to last awhile too, especially if you turn it off when you're not using it. It has great colors and really seems to keep my daughters atttention for awhile while she is playing with it. Great value for the price!</p>... It is very colorful, has a flashing bone on his shirt and volume control through a velcro seam on its back. My son finds it very easy to push the buttons. It teaches, body parts, colors and songs. And it has cute little sayings/ You push his nose, and he says "nose" push it again, he says "red nose", push it again, he says "a choo" then on another level, he sings "itsy bitsy spider", says achoo" then "got my nose!"  The down fall of the <strong>Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Learning Puppy</strong> is it has a hair trigger on some features and it is impossible to get it to work on others. I am not a big fan of stuffed animals but the kids love them. The fisher price laugh and learn puppy is amazing. My babies love it, literally...they hug and kiss it all the time. You can control the level of sound, its very easy to turn off and on, it has a sleep mode so is quiet when not being played with but will immediately respond when picked up and touched. So many different responses and songs. It teaches and is fun. has classic songs like .."head and shoulders " and "do your ears hang low". Does all the basics like , ABC's, colors and count to 10 , plus parts and music. It is really cute and easy to wipe off. It does have sensitive triggers but is not a problem. I prefer one my 1 year olds can do on their own. Other toys are to hard for my babies to push the sensors and make them work. I do not have the one with the light up heart, ours is the older version. She was really excited when she saw the toy and wanted to immediately play with the toy. I let her have the toy unopened. The toy was behaving strange. It turns on by itself and starts to talk and sometime it keeps on switiching from one song to another even though no one touched the toy! it was also very confusing because when you press it's foot it would say tummy!! Now thatz not good! i don't want my daughter to be confused. It does have some catchy tunes when it manages to sing the song fully instead of bits and pieces of everything. I thought it was because the toy was kind of crushed together in the package. So i opened it and let my daughter play with it. No improvement. On the plus side my daughter liked the heart which has a light and which flashes with the music. She kept on pressing the light over and over again. Twas a great idea to have the light. There are different modes- learning and music- that determine what songs or words the puppy "says". The "voice" of the puppy is a gentle but happy female, and each touch to the body part gives 3 responses per mode, 6 total possible responses in all. I must say I am sorely dissapointed with Fisher Price. They usually have products that are cute, innovative, educational and great value. However this time not so much. It never played all the music it was supposed to and if you barely touch it, it will switch to another song or activity. Or just turn itself off which confuses my grand daughter as she is just learning to push the paws and tummy. Sometimes it even randomly barks even if no one has touched it for days. My daughter took it with them on their vacation and would have loved to leave it on the side of the road.  I have contacted the company and they are issuing me a voucher for the purchase price but it is to buy another Fisher-Price product.
