The Fisher-Price Infant to Toddler Rocker is one of those rare products that will make your life easier for years and years to come. We received one as a gift when our first child was born, just over six years ago. And it is still in steady use today.

When baby is brand new, the rocker can be leaned all the way back and the support stand put down so that it acts as a sort of bassinet. The removable toy bar can hold small toys for baby to look at and eventually reach for. And the vibrating mechanism can calm a fussy baby. As baby grows, you can lower the support stand and make it into more of a seat or rocker. And the back can be lowered so infants who cannot yet sit up can lie back in the rocker, then raised when baby wants to reach out and play more actively with the toys. When baby gets old enough to actually climb in and out of the seat, remove the toy bar (and hide it, or they'll carry it around and eventually jab someone in the eye) and they can use it as a chair.

I have used this...
...

I wanted desperately to keep the two bouncers I had with my son, even though he had grown out of them, for a future baby. Even though I am not planning on having another child anytime soon, I really love bouncer seats. So when I found this seat, I decided to compromise. I would sell the two bouncers and get this one. It looked like the most amazing seat ever. And it can be. The problem I had with it, and so far it seems to be the only problem, was that when I bought it, my son was in the inbetween stage for the seat. He was too big to use it with the straps and toy bar, but too small to use it as a toddler rocker. And it stayed that way for several months. So I didn't have a chance to use it with him as a baby, I do think it will be awesome for any future babies. I love the fact that it reclines, so that a baby could sleep in it, because the biggest problem I had with my son when he was under a month old was that he would NOT sleep on his back and wanted to sleep either cradled in my arms...
...

My daughter has used this seat since she was only a week old. When she was still very small, she liked to fall asleep in the chair at night before I would put her in the bassinet. When she got a little bigger the mobile became so much fun to play with. The colors are very bright and they kept her attention in the mornings while I was getting ready for work. I like that the mobile is easy to remove -- sometimes it seemed like she got a little upset if it was attached for long periods of time. I think it just overstimulated her.

My only complaint is that the center figure on the mobille used to play music when it was pulled on, but it must have been pulled too hard or too many times because now I can't get it to work again. I also wish it was a little more portable - I still bring it with us in the car if we are taking a long trip, but I usually have to leave other items at home because it's hard to get anything besides the chair into my car.

Getting ready in the morning, doing any kind of housework, fixing dinner... these are the times our children decide they need us most, am I right? If you've ever hoped for a moment to yourself, the Fisher Price Infant Seat will do the trick! The vibration is gentle and holds the baby's attention. The animals do a good job of it, too. I found it only takes one jiggle of the seat to get the animals to swing long enough to keep the baby's interest (until he's old enough to reach them with his feet).

The electronic music from the cow can be a little scary... neither of my boys appreciated the high-pitch. What is it about toy companies that they all have to choose Old MacDonald for their electronic stuff? When it gets to the "here a moo, there a moo, everywhere a moo-moo," it plays that same note over and over... it's like water torture to the brain. I also noticed that the velcro on our model was backward... so 1 of the 3 animals (the cow) was facing outward (the others are two-sided). ...
...

NathansMommy says "Great, but better for babies than toddlers." about Fisher Price Infant Seat to Toddler Rocker

We registered for the Fisher Price Infant to Toddler Rocker and got one in our baby shower. It was a great place to put our baby when he was small, and he would sit in the seat quite content to look around and take in the world and the dangling animals were such an interest to him. When he got a little older, he began batting at the animals and really enjoyed himself, particularly when he figured out how to pull the handle on the cow and make music. Now that he's a toddler, he likes to sit and rock in the chair every now and then, but the rocker reclines too far back, even in the "upright" position, for much practical use. He ends up sitting way back and his feet can't touch the floor--and he's very tall for his age. That's frustrating. It would have been a much better design to have made the chair sit more upright for rocking. Overall, we're glad we have it (I struggled to decide between giving it 3 or 4 stars), but if we had to do it over again would probably purchase......

The Fisher Price infant seat to toddler rocker is great!! I worked in daycare and have used many bouncy seats. This one is well worth the money. First of all it was the least expensive and it GROWS WITH THE CHILD. I bought it for my son after using a Eddie Bauer- we hated it!!! I bought this one hoping it would get me through the months until he was old enough to sit up, but he still uses it at 2 years old. He loves his rocking chair!! Also- FYI the toys on it are really cute!! I love the farm theme....

The Fisher Price Infant Seat to Toddler Rocker is awesome. We just had our 4th baby 6 months ago. We did have a boucny chair but it broke so we needed something else. This was the cheapest thing I saw and in my opinion better then the more expensive chairs since they did not convert into a Toddler Rocker. I love how the toy bar can come off, since I use it sometimes to feed her. We have a 2 year old who is still using the high chair at the moment so this rocker comes in handy. You can even have it so it doesn't rock while feeding. My daughter loves trying to get it to rock, which she does since she is constantly moving her legs and arms. She would spend hours in this thing if you let her. And I love the fact that she can use it when she's bigger as a rocker or chair. My niece has one also and loves it!...

As a first time mom, I look to other moms for advice and recommendations for the best items and most practical things for my baby. The Fisher Price Infant to Toddler Rocker is hands down, the BEST thing for my baby. She LOVES it. The chair is sturdy with a metal frame that rocks smoothly and easily. The toys are interactive and my baby loves to try to reach for them since they play music and rattle. The colorful padded bar that holds the toys is equally interesting to her as she learns to grab and hold onto things. The chair is reasonably priced considering how much use you get out of it. It is easy to put your baby in the chair and let them hang out, so it's important to get them OUT of the chair a lot to do tummy time too!!...

I had one of these for my son and he got use out of it for YEARS! It is for when they are infant to about 2-3 years. The hanging toys come off and the bottom bar flips to make it a chair for older kids. It can sit stable or rock. I also buy this a lot for baby gifts. I have always had good feedback when I do!!

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!
...
