This swing works wonderfully as a travel swing. In other words I would not use it as my "main" swing. It doens't hold as much weight adn it also doesn't have all teh nice bells and whistles that come with a larger swing. Also if you have any other children or pets it can be a little concerning having yor infant that close to teh ground. However, it is great to-travel with. If you have a child like mine, sometimes he won't fall asleep unless it is in his swing. This is very lightweight adn easy to fold in half adn pop in teh truck. We use it when we go visit with family and I find that it soothes him quite nicely. The material is easy to clean and comes off very easily to pop int teh washer and dryer. I bought this item new but I would say that it wasn't really worth the money. You can find tons of these travel swings used on places like Craigslist or your local thrift store. I wouldn't pay more than $20.00.

I purchased the Fisher Price Deluxe baby swing in 2008 for my second child. Not knowing what to get a 1 month old for Christmas a friend suggested baby gear I had wanted but never received. We had a big swing on the first floor of our home but my older child age 2 at the time had a playroom in our basement and I needed a place for the baby to be entertained in the basement. Well this swing is the best gift I ever bought in fact he is almost 1 and he still loves this swing. It comes with little toys that attach to the sides of the swing. It also has music as well as lights which really made it very entertaining for babes. It was easy to clean with removable cover, straps were not removable so I just wipe them down. My baby is still very comfortable and happy in this swing, it has a weight limit of 30 lbs. The price was a little expensive but well worth every penny. It also folds and makes it very easy to transport when going to granmaw's house or hide away when not in use. I...

This swing is very easy to use. I really enjoyed using it when my daughter was little. I wish that I would have had it when my son was born. I would put her in the swing by the couch and she fall a sleep in it. If she would get up in the morning before I wanted to I would put her in it and she would fall asleep and so would I. She really liked the swinging motion a lot. She still likes swings now since she remebers them when she was first born. I would recommend this swing to anyone. It is very easy to move from one room to another and great for taking on trips. I wish that I could plug it into the wall through and not use so many batteries.

So, we find out baby #3 is coming.... where oh where oh where will we fit her? And her stuff? I had the old stand up, takes a lot of space, awesome Fisher Price swing. Loved it for the first two.. but space had REALLY become an issue.

A friend recommended a fold-up/take-along type swing. I could not (at first) justify the purchase of a new swing because we already had one...

Well........... my husband ended up surprising me with the Fisher Price Deluxe Take-Along swing right before our bundle of joy arrived. Can I just tell you -- what was I thinking? It's fantastic... folds up and we took it everywhere. EVERYWHERE! There may have even been a time or two (and I won't admit to it outright) when we pulled this into church with us just to survive the hour with a fussy, cranky ball of pink! SO happy we had this...

And did I forget to mention that baby #4 came about 14 months later? This FP Swing held up great! You can throw the cover in the wash. Change the batteries......

I received the Fisher Price Deluxe Take Along Baby Swing as a gift and both me and my baby are in love with it. It was very easy to set up and it's very comfortable. We also love the soothing music.

This is the best little swing ever! It is easy to handle, has lights, and music, and swings really nicely. I loved it, used it for both of my children,brought it everywhere with me, grandmas, park, hotels, camping...you name it, it saved our trips over and over.

i love this swing i bought it new for my first son in 2004 still going strong, it plays music lights up everything! i love it and its great for 2 uses! since its close to floor you can put baby in it and not really worry about it falling or so on. i like that it was light weight and well i live in florida and lovely Charley came thank god i had this swing being light weight i took it to stay in the hotel we where in for a week, it kept baby happy as well as made a great place to feed him in and he slept there. so its just a great thing to have easy to take anywhere and can be used as a er bed at friends, family and so on. love this swing.

I enjoyed having the baby swing for my newborn. If I couldn't hold him, I could put him in the swing and it would rock him to sleep! He would sit in it for his entire nap! I think maybe it would be nice to have some sort of head rest in the swings that could detach as they get older.

The Fisher Price Delux Take Along Baby Swing is a very sturdy swing. I have used it for both of my children and it looks like new. I love that it folds up easily for traveling. It's light weight so it can be carried easily from room to room. The seat cover comes off easily for washing (although I never dried it in the dryer, just in case). What's nice about this style of swing compared to larger swings is that newborns can use this swing since it lays back. But it also adjusts to sit up more if you like. My sons loved the toys, music and lights. It has a safety strap. You can't use it once the child can sit up on their own. But I felt it was a must have. I used it a lot when I needed to get ready in morning, or for naps when he was very young.

The Take Along Swing from Fisher-Price is a must have for busy moms and for people who don't have much room for baby gear. Unlike a traditional swing I was able to move the swing from room to room and know that my baby was happy while I was able to get things done or even take a shower! It was also compact enough for travel. We took it with us almost everywhere we went. It was a great addition when grandparents babysat or if we were at a friends house. It is easy to operate and has several different swing settings. There are toys across the top bar that the baby can play with and activate the music him/herself. The seat cover is removable for easy washing. The batteries seem to last a long time and are not hard to change when they go out. The price was very reasonable and the product wa available at multiple retailers. Overall this product was my must have and I will use it for any future children I have.

I had triplet girls. I also had a fairly small house at the time. I was given these at my baby shower and I absolutely loved them. You can fold them up and put them away. You can carry the child around the house with you, place them in the same room as you. They don't take up too much room. You can take them on trips with you. You can even put the baby on the counter while you cook. They play music, flash lights, have hanging toys for them to grab at, and, of course, swing with different settings.

You can set the swing to move quietly, to have sounds with different volumes, to flash lights or not, each independently. Very nice feature.

It lasted long enough that I handed it down to my sister-in-law and another one to my best friend. They loved them, too.

Only real issues was the use of batteries! It only starts there, and gets worse as the toys get bigger.

Baby swings can often be difficult to assemble and bulky, but I think that the Fisher Price Deluxe Take Along Baby Swing is neither. We got the fisher price deluxe take along baby swing as a gift for my first child and it went through 3 kids befor having any trouble. We had the one with fish on it and my kids loved them and the music. If I was tired and they were awake I could put them in this turn the swing, lites, and music on and I could take a nap knowing they were safe. We traveled a lot and it held up realy well. It got beat up steped on thrown in the back of the truck and kept going.I love it and wouldn't buy anything else!...
