ginamurray says "Not worth the money- such a waste- my daughter hated it" about Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

This swing may have a lot of bells and whistles but the Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing is a waste of money. It was bought for us when my daughter was born. She would sit in it but did not like it. We used it until she was two months old. She would not sleep in it and would barely even sit in it. We went to my sisterin laws house out of town. She borrowed a cheap old Graco swing with no bells or whistles. It was just a simple swing. My daughter loved it. She took long naps in it. She hung out in it while we were eating. she Loved it so much. I realized at that moment that the big mirror and funny shaped seat did not matter to her. It did not matter to her how much we paid for the swing. She only cared what was comfortable and was a swing that went in one direction. When we got home I bought her the plain swing and she loved it. Babies do not need all of the fancy stuff that this swing offers.

Save your money and buy a swing that will swaddle the baby instead of give them room...
...

mom2mouse says "Life Saver" about Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

This is a wonderful swing. We spent more on it upfront, but saved by not having to buy batteries. It has cute songs that it plays and several levels of rocking. My daughter loved this swing. It did have problems with the motor after about 3 months of use, but Fisher Price replaced easily. Since then, we never had any problems. The fabric is a little hard to clean, but not impossible. It also pilled a little after washing it. The seat has 3 recline level. This makes it really nice for the baby phase and as they grow they can be sitting up a little more. The only thing I wished that this swing offered was a infant body pillow. When my daughter was tiny, we had to stuff blankets into the swing in order to get it to where she was comfortable. This made it bulky, but kept her from cruching up. It does have a head pillow too though that can be moved around or taken off if needed. Overall the swing is wonderful!
...

This product was a life saver for me on many occasions. With my husband being in the military and me always having to catch up on him, it's hard to find time to hold my baby all day long, although I wish it were possible. This swing put my baby right to sleep from birth until now. She is now 5 months old. Plus, she loves to look at herself in the mirror above her head. It keeps her very entertained! I don't have to worry about her falling out because of the straps to keep her in place. Also, the swing itself is so deep that she stays nestled in it the entire time. The swing seat can change positions to adapt to your babies growing needs. The swing has many calming and entertaining sounds with it. My baby loves to watch the animals spin around above her head! I use my swing at least once a day. Even though it is higher in price than some others, it is well worth the money that you pay for it! It even has a pillow for your sweet baby to lay their head on! It was so easy to set up. I set...
...

marinsalem says "Calming and Great when your arms are tired!" about Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

We had the Fisher Price Baby Papsan Nature swing. It was great for both of my kids. It was a wonderful way to get the babies to fall asleep if my arms were exhausted from carrying them around.

The songs were great and soothing. The mirror that was the underside of the mobile fascinated the babies and they enjoyed watching themselves. The toy bar that wrapped across the front of the swing wasn't used the first couple of months, but became a favorite play thing by about three months.

I liked that the arm that held the papasan chair could be turned either way depending on how the baby wanted to rock or where you were sitting.

It also became a great place for my son to sleep, since the doctor recomended he be propped up at night for the best drainage of his eustachian tubes. The chair was comfortable enough that he didn't mind at all.

The only downsides to this swing are that it takes up a lot of room and does not travel well because it doesn't fold well since it's so large. Plus, be ready...
...

This is the best swing ever made. We originally had the Fisher Price Aquarium swing with our two-year-old daughter but got so tired of replacing the batteries. It was not worth using it all the time because it went through batteries so fast. When our 8 month old daughter was born with reflux and colic, we knew our old swing would not be sufficient. Due to the reflux, she slep better in the swing because she was not laying flat. Because it comes with an AC adapter and could be plugged in, I didn't feel bad having her nap in the swing or even overnight because we never had to replace a battery. We have the starlight version and the baby absolutely loved the little stars.lights and the mobile stars that moved. It has even been resilent enough to withstand the two-year old jumping in it (despite our pleas to stay out of it). It truly has been a lifesaver and I would never recommend any swing other than one that has an AC adapter,
...

My son wasn't really into swings but this one is a nice swing. It is most appropriate for a newborn. I like that it swings front to back and side to side. It is very comfortable and he liked the music choices. He didn't really watch the mirror or moving toys but they are cute. I liked that it was neutral. We didn't use it that often but I do know that it uses a lot of batteries from others who have this swing. If you plan on using it for napping or long nights, you probably want the adapter or a swing that plugs into an outlet. My son did seem to outgrow it early as he is a big baby. My husband felt it took up a lot of room in our living room. When we did use it, it kept my son happy and he often fell asleep in it. We did not use the tray because it was difficult to get on and off. It is very imprtant to strap a child into this swing as my son could get himself out of it at a young age- 2 months old. It is high off the ground and a child could be injured from a fall out of it.
...

My 3-month-old son loves this swing. I like that it swings both sideways and front to back. We mostly use the side to side function as his head tends to tip forward when using the front to back function. My son just started noticing the spinning mobile and mirror. He is fascinated by it. I think it would be even better if it had lights as he is really drawn to anything with lights. This swing will definitely keep him quiet for a few hours. He falls asleep easily in this swing. My only complaints about this swing are that: 1) it doesn't transport very well. While it is easy to fold up, it is bulky and almost didn't fit in the back of my SUV when I brought it home. 2) It was nearly impossible to remove the seat cover for laundering. It is fit on there pretty tight. The swing is pleasant to look at and very soft. We will definitely be keeping it for the next baby. All in all, this swing was a good value. We bought is used off craigslist.
...

The Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle swing is a life saver for new moms. Its has two different modes, it can swing front to back, just like any normal swing but can also go from side to side. It takes 4 D batteries, which tend to run out pretty fast if you use it alot, but is well worth it in my opinion. It has six speed settings, from really slow to fast. There is a mobile with a mirror on the top that plays a bunch of different songs and also plays different nature sounds. There are little bugs and butterflies that spin around the mirror on one setting. You can choose which settings to use, whether you want music, nature sounds or neither, and whether or not you want the mobile to spin or not. There is also a tray that attaches that has little bead toys on it that is detachable, you can leave it on or take it off. The swing holds babies up to twenty five pounds, and the legs fold in if you need to store it.
...

so my brother bought me this swing i was all ok this should be good but i did not realize

how much i would love it and how much it would help me and everything els that it

bought to me how much happynice it made me my childed lived in the swing it was his

life and it was the only thing that made him happy no matter how much he was upset or

anything and plus no matte what i could always get him to fall asleep it was my life saver

Fisher Price's Nature's Touch Papasan Cradle Swing was a lifesaver for me. My daughter was a colicky, fussy baby and it was very difficult to get her to calm down and relax. But five minutes in this swing and she would be content and soon lulled into sleep. She loved looking up at the mirror and at the little characters from the time I brought her home from the hospital -- and she was soothed by the music and nature sounds. When she was very little I'd drape a receiving blanket to slow down the speed a bit and it worked like a charm. The seat is very soft and cozy and cradled her beautifully. I used it until she was about five or six months old -- she didn't really like it once she could sit up because the "upright" position doesn't seem to be straight enough. I used it every single day when she was younger however -- and it is worth its weight in gold as far as I'm concerned! Very cute as well and the colors are soft and muted -- fine for a boy or a girl. Only complaint...
...

How can I count the ways I love this swing...1) It is super soft and comfy for baby. Like a litle cocoon and it hugs their bodies while still allowing room for growth. 2) great sound options 3) side to side or forward and back motion (a choice for every baby) 4)fun toys in the mobile to look at

This swing is fantastic. Not only is the material fully washable and veryeasy to get off and on but my daughter loves it and when she is fussy and won't sleep this is a sure bet. She loves the side to side but it has the option to swing front and back as well. There is an insert fabric piece that helps to cradle the baby's head ntil old enough to handle it on their own. This is great for those tiny baby's who tend to flop around in swings for the first few weeks.

Also, if you have a creative hubby like mine this can be rigged to plug into the wall with a little ingenuity so you don't run through batteries!
...

The only bad thing I have to say about this is that my son grew too quickly!!! This was a great swing! I loved the fact that it could swing front-to-back or side-to-side. We didn't have this kind of swing with my first son, so this was a real treat! At times, we couldn't seem to quite him down without putting him in the swing! And although the music wasn't the greatest in the world, it was so much better than on some other baby items I've purchased in the past. If you want this swing and think you might use it a lot....I recommend getting some rechargeable batteries! We went thru a TON of them!!!
...
