Had several Fisher Price baby monitors given to us as gifts. They are lousy.

Can't hear anything over them expect static. Waste of money. Had two different models and neither worked.

Fisher Price Baby Monitor is a high quality monitor at a very affordable price. This monitor does not have excessive static and is easy to use. Although it only has 2 channels I have never had a problem finding a static free channel. I recommend this product much more then the expensive monitors that are out there.

When shopping it was mid priced,it has good sound quality,the hand held receiver holds a charge well.Over all I was happy with the fisher price baby monitor. (also tough enough to last even with older brother)

We received the Fisher Price Baby Monitor as a gift. It was not what we really wanted but we kept it since we could not return it to the store. It has been a big disappointment. If it is used in the house there aren't too many problems. But to try and take it outside it loses reception very easily and I spent quite a bit of time running back and forth trying to make sure I am not missing something. It is supposed to recharge itself while it is plugged in which it does but as soon as you unplugg the unit it goes dead in about 20 minutes. I am constantly changing the channels so I don't pick up all the truck drivers going down the road near our house. Quite frenquently I am awakened to hear nothing but static. I feel like it is more of a hassel than it is worth because it does not perform as advertised. Also when you need to switch channels you have to do it on all three peices, they dont automatically pick it up after you change it on the base unit. The night light is handy though.

I noticed some negative reviews on this product, but I think I might have a little more experience with monitors. I will start this off by prefacing that I don't use this monitor at night because my daughter sleeps with me, but like I said this is not my first time around the block with baby monitors. The Fisher Price monitor is really quiet compared to others I've had in the past. Of course there is a little back ground static but even the slightest noise is detected and even amplified on this monitor. I didn't have an issue with the clicking and I don't have problems with our cell phones or wireless internet either. The monitor looks good and one of my favorite feature is that you can see the lights on both sides of the handset which makes it even more convenient. I will admit that for a person who has problems sleeping with white noise that the monitor might bother them at night, but again any little noise is detected so it isn't a matter of whether you'll hear your baby or not. The fisher price dual lights and sound monitor is a wonderful item, I received as a gift a few months back and I am in love. It comes fully assembled just to pop in the batteries, no complicated instructions!!! I totally love my monitor, the sounds are clear, and comes with an adapter so that you use with or without the batteries. I would definitely recommend to other price concious mothers who are looking for a qulaity and reliable item.

My husband and I agree that this monitor does the job. I like the small size of the monitor. The hand held unit is small enough to fit in most of my pockets when walking around the house. I also like the lights on the unit which indicate how loud the noises are in the baby's room. The lights easily get my attention. The only downfall of this monitor is that if placed near a cell phone the speakers will make a loud clicking noise.

Maybe we kept our Fisher Price Baby Monitor plugged in too much, but now we have to. After using it for about 7 months, we could no longer take the monitor away from the plug, as the receiver battery wouldn't last. We were very disappointed. We really do like the lights and sound feature,as that is useful when you have a hair dryer on or something else that you are doing and can't actually hear the monitor. We also like the dual receiver, so that we can leave one downstairs (the baby's room is upstairs) and one upstairs for when I am in the shower or something like that.

I bought the one with two receivers and it is horrible. all I could hear was static. I could not hear my baby at all. Nor could I even imagine trying to sleep with that on. I tried both channels and putting it in different spaces, nothing worked. My friend has the summer video monitor and I used it the other day when my son was asleep in her childs crib and it was wonderful! You could actually see his chest moving up and down. THe money is deffinately worth it
