clarinetb says "Great fun for the whole family" about Fisher-Price Alphabet Peek-A-Blocks

The Fisher-Price Alphabet Peek-A-Blocks were a hit at our house, and not just with the baby! We had these and other Peek-A-blocks and they are tonnes of fun. Guests would come over and be playing with them! There is something about cute little boxes with something neat happening inside that seems irrestible! Our daughter also loved/loves them. I got them second hand when she was around six months and even now at 2 1/2 if she gets them out she has a lot of fun. I love that they are a simple toy, no batteries, lights, just blocks that can be used for building, stacking, sorting as well as something great to play with inside. They are very durable (they've been thrown, stepped on, you name it) and though have been used by multiple children don't show much wear of any sort.

Definitely a great twist on classic building blocks that will be enjoyed and last for a long time. Just proves you don't need fancy technology to make a new great toy!
...

kctrat says "I Liked Them Better Than The Kids" about Fisher-Price Alphabet Peek-A-Blocks

When I saw the Fisher Price Alphabet Peek A Blocks, I was so completely excited that the price tag didn't matter. I just had to have this toy. I imagined all the wonderful learning experiences I could have with my daughter by just playing with these blocks. I had it all planned out!

They were cute, they had the letter stamped on the front, and there was something on the inside that started with that letter, a lot of the blocks even moved, or made a bit of a sound when you would shake them. They all had interesting textures on the top/bottom. I was thrilled!

So, I get home and open the bag of blocks and my daughter wasn't impressed with the fact it had anything to do with the alphabet. She tried chewing on them (she was only about 10 months old), she tried stacking them (they don't stack as easily as typical alphabet blocks), she tried throwing them (they hurt more than regualr blocks). Anyway, after just a few short weeks, she was no longer interested in the blocks at all. ...
...

Fisher-Price Alphabet Peek-A-Blocks are awsome. They are designed to offer many differant ways to play. When we first bought these for our daughter (then4 months old) we held them up to encourage her to look inside to see what was there. As she has gotten older she now likes to look herself. They also offer her a chance to manipulate with her hands as she can shake, turn and push some of the blocks. I have recently started teaching her to stack them. Well I stack and she knocks them down. But it is a start. I also love the fact that they work with other Fisher-Price Alphabet Peek-A-Block products such as a train we recently purchased for her. It came with some also but she has been fasinated by the other blocks that work in it as well. In the near future I can see using them to learn the alphabet and spelling simple words. I plan to look for other products that will work with these blocks.

We purchased these blocks for the educational factor when my son was a baby. The blocks stack well on top of each other. My son loves mom to stack them & him to knock them down. He also learned to stack using these blocks. The items in the blocks that match the letter of the alphabet are cute. There are so many games you can play with these blocks and they really keep my son busy for a long period of time. Also believe they helped my son learn his alphabet.
...

The Fisher-Price Alphabet Peek-A-Blocks are great. All of my children enjoy playing with these blocks. The baby loves to look at them and shake them. My 2 and 4 year old use them to make towers and buildings. And my 5 year old uses them to practice his spelling. The Blocks are small enough that I can stash a few in the diaper bag to make waiting rooms a bit more enjoyable. I also appreciate the fact that they are a "simple" toy. Straight forward enough that there is still room for the children to use their own imagination when playing with these, while at the same time colorful enough to engage the younger children. These blocks are durable, they can be thrown, bounced, or stepped on and they don 't break. The Blocks are also easy to be washed, so that I don't have to worry about chewing on and mouthing them. I would recommend this toy to any mother or grandparent of small children.
...

The Fisher-Price Alphabet Peek-A-Blocks have provided a lot of fun and learning for my now 2 year old. She has been playing with them since she was about 6 months old. She started just picking them up, shaking and slobbering on them, but now we build towers and talk about what is inside. We are working on identifying letters, and these provide a great way to do that. I will be passing these on when we finally outgrow them....

The Fischer-Price Peek-A-Blocks are a great learning tool for infants through toddlers. My son who is ten months, as well as my three year old daughter love them. They can play with them together and it keeps they're attention and interest longer than most other toys or blocks they have. They are inexpensive and extremely durable. I have had some of the blocks for almost four years now!...

These blocks are great fun. We bought our original set for our daughter 5 years ago along with a hippo and block sorter, music table that they worked with. Everything has withstood time wonderfully and now my 1 year old boy uses them and the old and new blocks all work together on the old and new complimenting pieces. Great product!...

My sons have similar blocks and they are GREAT! I can't believe how much they learned by building blocks and reading the letters on them! Perfect for every Preschooler and even school age children to help with spelling and phonics. Both of my children use these for different projects. My oldest uses them for spelling tests and other word spelling practices. My youngest loves learning his A, B, C's by stacking and making roadways with the blocks. I would definately recommend this product to anyone and everyone! Everyone household should have these blocks in it!!!...
