Finding Neverland was one of those movies that you were not certain would be good and when it was good, it was one of those movies that would become treasured. Johnny Depp was amazing good as the author who would come to write about Peter Pan. It was also nice to see Kate Winslet as a mother with two children who would come to fall in love with Barre.

Barre is a man who is bored by what he has been writing. He has an active imagination and wants to use it, despite the way that polite society would react to it. He is an intelligent man who wishes for more to inspire him in his work. He gets what he is wishing for when he encounters a mother who is widowed and has four boys. He makes the decision to befriend them despite the disapproval of several people. He helps the boys find their imagination and helps them imagine places and things that they normally would not think about.

Through all the fun that he has with the family, one of the greatest plays will be born. Peter Pan will be brought...

First off, there haven't been many Johnny Depp movies that I haven't liked a lot. Second, Kate Winslet is also a huge bonus. Add in the Peter Pan story, british accents and a period piece and I'd probably love it w/o seeing it!

Finding Neverland is funny, cute, dramatic, family friendly and a great story with great sets and costumes. I wanted to buy it right after seeing it in the theater!

My parents were at our house and evenings without cable when they're here mean that we have to watch a movie. There are so many restrictions on what they'll watch and enjoy that we exhausted our movie collection a long time ago. After we bought Finding Neverland, we had one more movie that I thought they'd like. HOORAY! They did like it and my dad actually liked it a lot!

I don't think we've watched it with our 3 year old yet, but I'm sure she'd like it as well.

This movie bites! It was so boring! The plot was ridiculous and had nothing to do with neverland! I wouldn't recommend it at all! Granted Kate windslet did a spectacular job in the film, Jonny could have done better. This isn't one of his best films if you ask me. Honestly the only thing going for it was that the end was sad. It is definintely a tear jerker....

I saw this movie last year on dvd and feel in love with it (bought the dvd for my collection even). Definetly a check flick but a man will appreciate the movie. The cast is superb and the story is very touching. This movie is in a class all it's own....

I hadn't really heard much about Finding Neverland until I read the reviews here on viewpoints.com. From everything I read, I knew this was something I needed to see, and I immediately put it on my queue at blockbuster.com. Once the DVD came in the mail, I saved it for just that right time to watch it with my kids. I especially wanted my teenage son to see it, as he's always been one to enjoy reading the classics and seems to get extra enjoyment out of learning the story behind things.

Johnny Depp stars as James Barrie, already a successful playwright. On an afternoon in the park, he meets a widow, Mrs. Davies (Kate Winslet), and her four sons, one of them named Peter. He uses his writer's imagination to play with them in the park, and loses track of time. They all begin meeting in park regularly, all of them enjoying each other's company, much to the chagrin of Barrie's wife and Mrs. Davies' over-protective mother (Julie Christie).

We get to take a look inside Barrie's head and brilliant......

I went to go see this movie in theateres when I was pregnant with my first child and I loved It. One of my all time favorite movies. Plus there is Johnny Depp to boot. I love johnny and I think he is an amazing actor along with the little boy that plays peter. He will be a star for sure. I would deff, recomend watching this movie....

This movie definately teaches children that imagination and creativity can take them anywhere and no matter under any circumstances that they will be able to go on. Johnny Depp was hilarious and definately I saw another side to him than that I am used to in the fact that he has been in so many action and drama movies it was different and refreshing to see him playing a role that was strong and determinable , I admire him for that of coarse....

I loved this movie - I thought Johnny Depp did an amazing job. I was engaged the entire movie and thought that every actor was superb. I was able to watch this movie multiply times and still be engaged and entertained. A real tear jerker though, so be prepared....

This is one of the best movies I have ever watched! I have this movie and have watched it numerous times. Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet are magical together without their ever being a sexual scene. They were both so very good in this movie as was Freddie Hightower....what an exceptional little actor he is. The story is fun and entertaining. I must admit the ending was not what I would have liked, but very believeable. Dustin Hoffman was something else....he played his part GREAT!

This is such a great movie for the whole family, and Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet are fantastic actors throughout. They couldn't have picked better children to play the little boys in the movie. It was such a great idea to have the movie based around the Peter Pan concept but from a completely different standpoint that we didn't expect. It gave us a whole new understanding about how the tale was written (i've heard it's based on a true story) and provided a great basis for a movie. The few times I've seen it I've cried each time, it was so moving. So, if you are a crier like me, be forewarned! It's a tear-jerker!

I love this movie because it has a beautiful story that was portrayed magnificently by Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet. I have this movie in my collection and can watch it again and again. It is so touching that it makes me cry every time I watch it. I highly reccommend Finding Neverland to everyone who hasn't seen it yet....

This movie was so great it really was just a movie that allows you a good cry and to just entertain you. Johnny Depp is tremendous, and that kid was great. It's because of his performance in this movie, that made Johnny Depp say he was Charlie for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It's been a while since I've seen this movie but just thinking about it makes me want to go and watch it, and I do own the dvd....

I read the back of the DVD case, and knew I had to buy this movie. I was impressed with the whole story line. J.M. Barrie was a great play-write, and this was his best play- Peter Pan. It reminds us that men do think like children and it takes a real man to make us women realize we too still have childish imaginations, we just have to find them.

The Davies boys were such a huge part in the making of Peter Pan, and their ailing mother helped Mr. Barrie show all of them Neverland and whats it like not to grow up. I think one of the most compelling parts is when James Barrie realizes the oldest boy's childhood slipped into adult hood- he made you feel that he (and you) could actually see it happening.

Peter too, was a great play-write, I loved the play he wrote before his mother had a horrible coughing spell and he destroyed it.

If you have not seen this movie, but have seen Peter Pan- watch this and discover another side of Neveland from your adult side.

I absolutely enjoyed this movie it was very well done and it kept me interested. This is one movie I can watch over and over again and I really could never get bored with it. It has great characters and the way that they have developed them through out the movie is just great. Plus Johnny Depp is in it so that's a plus for me and any movie with him in it is always good to me. ...
