I have had my house insurance with Tn.Farm bereau since 1988.I have never been late with a payment.I moved in with my mother, but still own the house.Since I don't live there anymore, they cancled my insurance. That is very bad business. If anything happens to my house,I will sue them for a whole lot of money. If they have policies like that, all people in the main office should be fired.I will speak to the president about it,even tho I know he will not do anything about it.I have known him for years.I would recomend this bunch to no one.
...

robsclientsince04 says "Bait and Switch. Horrible Customer Service" about Farm Bureau Insurance

I have never delt with such an unorganized operation, not to mention the rude office help and agents. Everyone blames everyone else and nothing gets done...other than collecting money. I have even been blamed for speaking to a different agent when my agent hadn't returned my call in over 2 weeks. They quote you one price, then double it two months later once you have already paid for the full year in advance. They actually did an automatic withdrawl on my accout for $53.00 more than what I was told would be taken from my account without any notification or explaination. Typically I would just switch my service because of this kind of treatment but I think others should know how they treat their customers. I have been a member since 2004. I have my home, boat and three vehicles are on this policy and I will be canceling it in January.
...

bash6656 says "Credit Score versus Driving History" about Farm Bureau Insurance

Farm Bureau Insurance raised my insurance premium based on a bad credit score. I own no credit cards, have no loans and don't want nor need any. I just bought a 2009 truck cash, and a $120,000 home cash. I insured both with Farm Bureau Insurance for which I paid the terms in cash for both ahead and up front. I just got hit with an auto insurance rate increase based on my "Credit Score". I'll admit, I don't have a very good credit score due to being burned by hostile credit contracts in the past. That is why i don't use nor need credit now. I have no interest in ever signing a hostile to the consumer credit contract ever again in my life. The fact that I have not had an accident in almost 15 years of driving never was considered. Must I take out loans now and pay them back just to improve my credit score? Do they not know that every credit card company in America has hit my credit file with an inquiry in order to send me a credit application? Each hit like that reduces...
...

Farm Bureau offers several products but be careful -- often they may insure homes for lower values to save you money but often this is not the best option. Also their coverage may not be as broad as what you can get through other sources -- make sure you have what you think you bought.

When it comes to insurance, we all need to make sure our bases are covered. Home ownership comes with a need to insure your home and carrying car insurance is another given, and a state law that you have a certain minimum amount of coverage. If your car or home is finance, the bank will require that you maintain enough coverage for replacement of the insured home or car.

We used Farm Bureau Insurance for both our vehicles and home for several years. That is until last year when we found out that our home insurance policy was no longer in effect. How did we find out? We called our local agent because we did not get a bill in the mail. My husband was told that the policy was no longer in effect because of non-payment. Our car insurance was all set up through payroll deduct, but the home policy was separate and taken out at a different time. The agent wasn't the least concerned and asked him if he wanted to rewrite. He said no and hung up the phone and called me to let......

sunnyklb8 says "After 23 years as Farm Bureau's customer, I'm ready to switch." about Farm Bureau Insurance

I've been a faithful customer of Farm Bureau, and I am now totally disgusted with them. First of all, my son slid off an icy road and hit a telephone pole. His truck was totalled. It was a used truck with low mileage, and we had only owned it for about 6 months. We had full coverage on it, and I had to fight with Farm Bureau for over 2 months to try to get them to pay a decent price for the truck. The adjuster was not able to bicker over the claim amount with me, so I had to talk to his boss. I talked to this man a couple of times, but he was totally unreasonable. I spent weeks looking at other trucks that were for sale that compared with this one. I got all the information together to show the adjuster's boss, but still he would not talk to me. Then I decided to go over his head to the next level of management, which just happened to be the CEO. The CEO wouldn't speak to me at all. It got so bad that when I called, the receptionist knew my voice, and she would lie...
...

TNGurl says "Stay away from Tennessee Farm Bureau - I rate them a zero!" about Farm Bureau Insurance

We had Tennessee Farm Bureau for years and had no problems until we had a claim on our house. We suffered some hail damage and EVERY single house around us and behind us got new roofs and gutters because of the hail damage. TFB came out and said and I kid you not that it wasn't hail damage on our house it was FOOT TRAFFIC. I'm not making this up people! It's a steep roof and unless my neighbors are having block partys on my house without my knowledge nobody is hanging out on my roof. My agent was no help but I contested this matter all the way to the head of the claims department. Everyone was jerks and treated me like I was stupid for not buying the foot traffic story. They sent out an "independant" engineer from another firm to colaborate their story which strangely contradicted the Nation weather service, photos of the actual hail strom at our house while it was happening and for freaking petes sake I was at home watching it while it happened! I mean the B.S. they gave......

My neighbor suggested I try Farm Bureau Insurance and I am so glad I listened. They really are the best insurance company I have ever had. The agents are knowledgable and polite and the rates are unbeatable. It is a pleasant change from the other insurance companies who seem to spend more time advertising and filling my mailbox with junk from their 'marketing partners' than actually serving their customers.

Go Farmers!
...

Bluestem says "They care about money, not people" about Farm Bureau Insurance

I am a very safe driver with no tickets or accidents. Recently a teenager in an oncoming car turned suddenly in front of me at 40 mph, totalling my car. He was cited for failure to yield. His insurance company was Farm Bureau. They have been a nightmare to try to work with. My car was a 2003 Malibu with 53K miles. They offered me $3,700 because the car had some previous hail damage. I had to buy a 2001 Malibu with 63K for $5,700. So basically through no fault of my own I wind up with an older car and $2,000.00 out of pocket. Also I still have neck pain from the accident but I was afraid to go to the hospital beause I don't have health insurance. With the rude attitude of Farm Bureau's adjuster I figured they would fight tooth and nail to keep from paying any medical bills. I can truly say that they are evil people who care only about money no matter how many innocent people they hurt....
