Do not puchase airline tickets until you visited farecast. This site is genius, and obviously created by travel experts. Not only is the information incredibly useful, but the website is very user friendly and easy to navigate.In the right hand bottom corner, they have special travel tools. There are three categories to choose from: Top Airfare Deals, Flexible Travel Deals, & Email Alerts. These tools are in addition to their main searching tool.

I have used the site extensively over the past year, and have yet to find any inaccuracies in their reporting. This site not only checks multiple travel site for the same itinerary, but it also reports industry and seasonal trends. Farecast advices consumers on the best times to purchase tickets, and when the prices are expected to rise or drop. I typically build my travel arrangements on the information I receive from Farecast.

I travel about 10 times a year and only use this site now! As the name suggests, it "forecasts" what the price will do and with what confidence it will do that. Although not always correct, I have saved a ton of money using this site!! As with most sites, you can sign up for a daily update on what the price is....

Well, as close as possible! Somebody has bet a bundle on technology that tells the rest of us whether the airfare we're watching will go up or down. Hey, that's a lot more than I could do, so let 'er rip. Farecast is a free web site which lets you enter your flight of interest, then tells you, in easy-to-understand graphics, whether to buy now or wait. It even tells you how "sure" it is!

A bonus - when you get your Farecast prediction, you also get to see the current best rates and corresponding flights, from all sorts of sources, including Orbitz and various airlines.
