Fireproof is getting a lot of 5 star reviews full of exclamation point comments like: This movie is AMAZING!!!

Well, the truth is.. if you identify yourself as a Christian and still attend church; you'll find a lot to admire about this movie; and if you stick with the film for about 20 minutes you'll find a lot to admire about it.

if you are not a Christian, you'll find a low budget, preachy inconsistent movie. There are some well written scenes, but there are some truly terrible ones as well. Some of the acting is awful, some is pretty good. The direction of the film is bad but some of the screenplay and most of the cinematographer is good.

The message is inspirational, the story for those who can overlook the film's considerable flaws is engrossing.

I wish the movie had more polish, better acting and paid a little closer attention to somei important details... (you can't be a fireman if you are not in very good shape physically...and yet this film has three firemen who would...

FIREPROOF WAS ON THE BOARD AS WE DROVE BY TO DROP OUR SON OFF TO THE MOVIE HOUSE FOR A BIRTHDAY PARTY.MY HUSBAND AND I WERE VERY TIRED AND LIFE HITTING US PRETTY HARD.WE DID NOT WANT TO COME BACK FOR OUR SON IN TWO HOURS SO DECIDED TO GO IN AND WATCH AN ACTION MOVIE.WE SAW SIGN FOR FIREFROOF AND IT LOOKED GREAT.ONCE IN WE WERE ENJOYING THE FILM AND REALIZED IT HAD A VERY POSITIVE TWIST TO HELP MARRIED COUPLE AND ANOTHER I WON'T RUIN FOR ANYONE WHO MAY NOT HAVE THE PASSION FOR LIFE LIKE WE DO FOR REASONS THE MOVIE TOUCHES ON LATER IN THE FILM.MY HUSBAND LEANS OVER AND SAYS,"DID YOU SET ME UP ,DID YOU KNOW THIS WAS LIKE THIS?"I SAID NO AND REALLY HAD NO CLUE ABOUT THE SHOW.IT WAS FABULOUS AND WE HAD REALLY GREAT COMMUNICATION LIKE NO OTHER IN LAST 17 YEARS OF MARRIAGE. An acquaintance was bemoaning the state of her marriage, and once again I found myself asking, "Have you seen Fireproof?"

Fireproof is not a new release. However, it is becoming a classic, to be seen repeatedly, and its message is timeless.

The story is all too common. A marriage is slowly disintegrating. The husband, a fireman, is falling into workaholism and internet pornography. The wife, frustrated, is getting attention from another man. They are drifting apart.

I did not know what to expect when I saw this movie. I had hard about it. The reviews were good. If you are looking for a wholesome movie that touches the heart, then this is a must see. Married people should watch this movie and learn from the characters about love and Christ. Single people will look at this movie and learn somethings as well. It is filled with action, romance and love. Watch and see if you can be fireproof!

The movie fireproof really surprised me. I was so inspired by this movie that I bought more copies to give to my family and friends. The movie started out kinda slow, but once I got into it, it was so amazing and inspiring. I went online afterwards and bought the book and other materials for it. The actors were so powerful and really made me think about my own marriage and life.

I thank the directors and actors immensly for making this movie as it has touched my heart, and many others that I have passed it along to. A great movie to watch, even for those who are not Christian, or are questioning their faith or marriage. Kirk Cameron is an amazing actor and really shows how his faith has impacted his life and how his faith has only continued to grow. I loved the extras in the DVD as well.

Fireproof was one of the best movies I have ever watch.It had a very definite impact on me and mu husband and it was really a very moving movie.God is to me the main factor in our day to day living and many husband and wife don't take the time to really realize each others needs.To sit down and talk to each other the way we should.I could definetly watch this movie over and over it make me stop and think about my life in general.

Fireproof blew me away. I did not see this movie in the movie theaters, but on DVD when the local library where I work had the DVD. Kirk Cameron starred in this movie as a fire chief in the local fire department and was having some major problems with his marriage. This movie was based on a book about fireproofing your marriage and if you follow certain guidelines you just might be able to save your marriage. I was so intrigued and interested in this movie. I was moved and thrilled that the characters in the movie were able to save their marriage. I will long remember this movie as one of the best in its genre.

The movie Fireproof was enjoyable and refreshing. It was a religious based movie, meant to help couples work through the tough times that marriage can bring. My husband and I had never watched a religiously based movie before, but we both enjoyed the movie and it's message. A strong marriage has become something of a novelty in America. Divorce is more prevalent in todays' society. This movie encourages couples to take the time and effort to try everything possible before going to the extremes of divorce. It was a very heartfelt movie with some good sound advice. It got both my husband and I thinking. It doesn't have many known actors in it, but that didn't seem to take away from the message it was sending out. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is struggling in their marriage and is looking for help and not sure where to turn. Fireproof is a wonderful Christian movie that all married couples and even dating couples should see. It depicts the truths of married life and how God ishould be our foundation for marriage. I really enjoyed this movie! If you are interested in a similar movie, you should see Facing the Giants!

We missed seeing "Fireproof" when it was in the theaters so were anxious to view it when it came out on DVD. Many friends had told us how good it was. We were not aware of the impact this movie would have on us. My husband and I have a very good, solid marriage but it was so easy to see how small missteps could lead you into major mistakes. This movie is excellent for any couple to view and should probably be required of any couple contemplating marriage.

As I struggled to keep my tears from being too distracting in the last part of the movie, my macho husband turned to me with tears in his eyes. We just started passing the kleenex's. Never has a movie had this great effect on both of us. we've discussed it for months afterwards and have purchased the DVD so that we can view it again and to also share with others. There are so many great messages that it gives and certainly gets you thinking and reassessing your life and relationships. It's great and I would recommend it on that level...

Absolutely dreadful. I'm a substitute teacher and this was the movie the teacher left for the kids to watch.The unfortunate first class was the only one I made watch it. The other classes got to watch something else.

My husband and I saw this movie advertised on TV and we were getting ready to have a movie night. My hubbay said, what do you want to go see, and we both said, "FIREPROOF" at the same time. We loaded up my 7 yr old and took him with us. We cried, laughed, and praised the Lord with the miricles that He can do. We decided that we are going to get remarried. My son loved it. It was a life changing movie. We also decided that as soon as it came out on video we would buy it. When it came out, my daughter saw that we had it and she said she wanted to watch it. My 7 yr old who goes with us said, it's a good movie, but they sure do fight a lot in the beginning! I was so shocked and so was my husband that he was actually paying attention! The movie was soooo good, we ended up buying the book and the love dare book. This movie will change your life. It will open your eyes and make you look at your spouse in a different manner! Fireproof was a very great movie. This movie every couple should see. I bought the movie after we saw it in the theather. We don't usually purchase movies for ourselves, it was that good. We learned a lot from the movie also. This movie was a good clean movie. There was no nudity or foul langauge like nearly every movie these days are. It was a movie that the whole family can watch, though just due to the subject of the movie I don't think we would let our young kids watch it, but it's okay for teens.

I first watched the movie at our church and we first ate then we all went into the church to watch the movie I had my two kids 9 and 6 and they were the only ones. They were so quite during the movie everyone could not belive, after watching the movie my kids always talk about it about never leave your partner and other parts in the movie, It is very realigions moivie. a movie for the whole family to watch over and over. If you have friends or family members going thru divorce get them this movie, it is very good, they will learn from this movie. It is just awasome!!
