This is the only medicine I will use when I get a migraine because it works fast and has three benefical active ingrediants Acetaminophen (Tylenol), Asprin, and Caffeine (65mg). It also does not have side effects like the perscription migraine medications do, but as always check with your doctor to make sure it is safe for you to take and if it will interact with any medications you are taking. Excedrin in general is a good brand, I have tried all their products before and have always been satisfied. I'm sure everyone knows this but keep out of reach of children and for children under 18 years of age it says to ask a doctor. The pills are easy to swallow and the price is pretty cheap overall. Two friends I have that tried this product loved it as well and one said it worked better than the perscription to imetrex. I would recommend this product to everyone because it is very effective and a good buy for the money.

i sometimes need something stronger for headaches and the caffeine can make you jittery and have palpatations would not recommend using alot of it...

I have suffered from migraines for more than a decade. I've tried every kind of over-the-counter pain medication there is, and I had gotten to the point where I was actually concerned about how many aspirin it would take to kill my headaches. I even contemplated getting the migraine shots but I'm a really big wimp about needles.

I tried these pills on a long shot, and was actually pretty convinced they weren't going to do anything. Man, was I wrong. I only had to take the recommended dose (2 capsules) and my headache was absolutely gone in about 15 minutes. I was so surprised I could have cried with relief. As a busy graduate student (and now an even busier teacher), I just don't have the time to get sidelined by migraines - especially with the accompanying light sensitivity; everything I need to do requires light or a computer, and neither of those was an option when I got a migraine. Excedrin Migraine is a product I cannot do without. I have had migraines since I was twelve years old. I have used prescription medicine and many over the counter products prior to my discovery of Excedrin Migraine. This medicine is the only product I have found that actually relieves a migraine. It does not matter what stage I have entered in the migraine process from stomach upset, blurred vision, or fear of bright lights - Excedrin stops the headache. I have literally gotten up at 3:00a.m. to find a drug store open to purchase the medicine. My history with migraines is severe. On one occasion, I went to the emergency room of our local hospital. I will admit that before trying this over the counter remedy, I tried all the prescription options first these include; fioricet, fiorinol, stadol ns, etc etc. Granted the prescription medications worked however there is a high risk for abuse because they are very addictive, narcotics and barbituates. When I began to start feeling healthier, due to taking Cymbalta (a depression medication that also helps everyday fatigue aches and pains and migraines) I decided to also attempt to stop taking all of these highly addictive drugs and go for something that was over the counter. Not thinking anything would work I chatted with a girlfriend who I knew had the same type of migraines and asked her what she used if she didn't have access to her perscriptions. As one who has had her share of migraines for 15 years I have tried every kind of over the counter relief, and when all is said and done, what seems to work best is Excedrin, hands down. If I take Excedrin Migraine at the first sign of an episode before the pain really gets a firm hold, it reverses the progression within a half hour and even prevents the waves of nausea that accompany the headache. Ibuprofin, on the other hand, still leaves me with a shadow of a headache for as long as the dose lasts and the queasiness also lingers. Acetaminophen is worthless. Looking at the ingredients I can't see where there is any difference between Excedrin Migraine and Excedrin Extra Strength except for different package colors and a special migraine-related warning on the Excedrin MIgraine version. Before they came out with the Migraine version I used Extra-Strength Excedrin with the same results. When I go to the drugstore however, I end up buying the Migraine labelled box anyway. I have suffered from migraines for over 12 years. I've tried every over the counter medication and several prescription medications to treat my migraines.

I highly recommend Excedrin Migraine. It is the best over the counter migraine medication available. It is fast acting, easy to swallow, affordable and doesn't have side effects that I have noticed.

The difference is in the ingredients. I believe this is the best combination of active ingredients for over the counter medications.

I have used Excedrin Migraine for a few years now and it normally works to alleviate migraines unless the migraine has been in force for too long before taking the medication.

If you can take Excedrin Migraine upon onset of the migraine, it will likely get rid of the headache before it escalates. In my experience, if the migraine is already in full affect when you wake up, that is the hardest migraine to get rid of. Being on prescription medication you have to be very careful as to what over the counter medications that you use. And when you get a headache the medicine that you use should never be taken lightly. I have chosen to use Excedrin Migraine for my worst headaches because it does what it says it does, but it usually takes about thirty to forty five minutes for the medicine to work, which is about the only downside that I have found to this medicine. The medication is reasonable priced and quite easy to find, in just about any store that carries this type of medicine. But before trying it I would suggest that you consult your doctor to see if you will be able to take this medicine with any prescription medication that you are on.

I am 64 and I have had migraines since I was 18. I guess I've had every prescription medication known to man over the years, plus countless expensive visits to the Emergency Room every month for years. You never know when these things are going to hit you and carrying about injectibles and spray mists was a real pain but I did it. The Emergency Room visits were always followed by at least two days of drugged bed rest and missing work. I have migraines several times a month and have always had to suffer through them. I have tried everything out there. Tylenol, Advil, Motrin, Aspirin, Aleve-to no avail. No over the counter medication could even touch my migraines. That is, until Excedrin Migraine. Excedrin Migraine combines aspirin, acetominiphin and caffeine and somehow, that combination knocks migraines out. Two simple pills is all it takes and my migraine is gone for up to 6 hours. I am so happy that I came across Excedrin Migraine. This unbelievably effective medication works so well, that I actually start feeling better within about 45 minutes after taking it. My name is Christina and I am suffering from chronic migraine headaches. Since I was a young girl I have had at least one migraine headache every week. Excedrin Migraine is the best over the counter medication I have found to treat my migraines. It relieves then quickly and effectively. I have tried many remedies for migraines and found this one to beat the others by far. It even works great for just everyday headaches too. Cost is not a factor usually when looking for relief,however, Rxcedrin Migraine is a great value. I would recommend this to anyone for any type of headache, but especiallyfor migraines. It comes different forms-tablet or gel caps,which makes it just right for just about anyone, whether you prefer the tablet or gel caps the relief is still the same--effective. When I feel a headache coming on it is hard to function and when that headache turns into a migraine then I cease to function. Migraines suck! they suck the life out of me, draining my energy. My eyes are affected, my hearing is affected, my stomach/nausea unwinds, and all I can do is lie down in misery. I did not want to accept another prescription from the doctor. I tried over the counter meds like Tylonal, IB Profin, Aleve, and others but nothing worked until I tried Excedrin Migraine. I was exhausted from the migraine and needed to sleep and was worried that Excedrin might keep me awake, but after I took it I slept so good that I thought it actually helped me to sleep. I have tried many over the counter pain relievers. I find that Excedrine Migraine and other Excedrine Medicines work the best. I have offered Excedrine Migraine to my friends and they have gone out and purchased Excedrine Migraine, Excedrine Back and Body, and I also have purchased Excedrine Back and Body, and regular Excedrine. Other over the counter medicines have not worked for me in the past. I think I will stick with Excedrine products until a better one comes along. I hope Excedrine keeps coming up with other types of pain relievers. I think Hospitals should use Excedrine products too. My son and daughter-inlaw use it.
