We had our mortgage with Everhome for many years. We were able to pay the mortgage off at the beginning of this year..2009. We never once had a problem with them in any way. I feel that often times complaints are made toward companies that are not only unfounded but complaints because they expected "special" services or were delinquint in their payments. When I called the home office to obtain a copy of our loan being paid off, they immediately took care of it and the gentleman whom I spoke with actually congratulated us as he knew I was ecstatic. I will always recommend Everhome Mortgage to others as being honest as well as efficient. J.Nixon
...

Yes everhome sucks and as for speaking fluent english its about 50 50 split between only english speaking to spanish/english. Recently they have gone on a firing spree, to avoid paying unemployment. So if we can be a little pissy at times give the CS a break, we are scripted and always hounded. We never know what is right to say. As for some of you're saying things, I do know the basics which I've studied extensively. Everything about your mortgage is outlined in your orignal loan documents, read them!! And most escrow questions are answered by RESPA Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, go to hud.gov and click on site index/map then scroll down to RESPA, viola what mortgage companies are allowed to do with your account. I can't say much for other departments, and their efficiantness or lack there of. Always remember that chances are we are people too, and something may have changed.
...

A Home equity loan for a 2nd mortgage through NetBank was refined by me in Dec. 2004. There was a zero balance on the loan. After I refinanced, the loan was sold off to GMAC, in Jan. 2006, who then sold it to this bunch of crooks in Nov. 2007. Then the letters from them began- I owed then $75 for my loan. I NEVER HEARD OF THIS COMPANY AND NEVER HAD ANY DEALINGS WITH EITHER THEM OR GMAC. My other loan had been refined in Dec. 2004, as previously stated. I have sent this company copies of the payoff from 2004, letters, and etc.... Now this company says since there was never a "Release of Lien" prepared and no recording fee paid, I owe them $35 to close the account. I showed the letter to my attorney, who said he has NEVER heard of such a thing. I will report these crooks to the FDIC! But, I will pay them the stinking $35 just to get them off my back! This is money I do not owe! By the way, this company is a subsidarary of Wachovia- just thought you'd want to know. I would never......

I didn't have a choice when my orginial mortgage company sold my mortgage to everhome. I've had nothing but delays and problems for 4 years! This year, everhome has not given me my escrow check so i can pay my mortgage. it's now the first week of march, and my tax payment keeps going up with no end in sight. Everhome continues to give me the run around, and with the service they provide (or the lack there of) i can't talk to anyone that could actually help. I don't blame the customer service staff, it's not there fault! I've now reported everhome to the state and hired a lawyer to get my money.

...

My mortgage got sold to Everhome Mortgage last year. And they suck and have awful service. They are rude and do not know the ABC of Customer Service.

I finished school in the summer and was still looking for employment after graduation. All the while that I was in school, I never missed a payment and even though I was still unemployed, I continued to make timely payments. But when in November, I called to find them for alternatives and to ask them to lower my interest rate, they were so rude and although by then the government had interwened and had lowered all the rates to abysmal levels they would not budge. In fact, in response to my phone enquiry they then sent me an e-mail stating that I was delinquent when I have never ever missed a payment or even been late.

For anybody looking for a mortgage, don't use them and if possible have a clause in your mortgage that they cannot sell your mortgage to Everhome.
...

Regions sold my account to EverHome and I have not received any information from them telling me of this and giving me a phone number or address. I found out today that my escrow is paying for my Life Insurance on my home and EverMore is not paying the policy holder who is about to cancel the policy. I wonder what else I am paying for in my escrow that they are not paying for -- hopefully not my taxes or homeowners insurance....

I was far from impressed when my mortgage was sold to them. The customer service from this company was less than I had expected. But then again, most customer service representatives are worthless. We went from human with an attitude on occassion, to automated that makes you have an attitude before you are able to reach a human, if you ever do reach a human. Good luck to get someone that speaks english (fluently). If you are like me and have no choice which mortgage company buys your mortgage, I feel sorry for you. If you go looking for a mortgage company and you choose EverHome, hope your experience is better than mine was....

I haven't had any problems with EverHome. I didn't go into them straight out of the box, they bought my mortgage from another company. Every time I have called them they have been helpful and courteous. We have a very competative rate, but as I said, I did not start out with them in the beginning....

Slow and irregular payment processing has defined my EverHome Mortgage customer experience. Despite making payments directly through the EverHome Mortgage website, processing times range from one full week to two full weeks on average. This makes tracking and verifying payments very difficult.

Further, two of my payments that were submitted on time failed to process entirely. I have documentation on bank letterhead stating that they were not rejected by the bank that held my checking account and the first notification I received in the first instance was a "late payment" issue on my credit report. In the second instance, the bank called 17 days after they confirmed the initial payment (on the night of the last day of the month) and asked if I'd be making a payment that month. I gave them the confirmation number, date and amount of the payment I had submitted and they thanked me for my help and hung up leaving me to believe that the issue had been resolved. They then reported......
