My fiance was skeptical about getting the Aura stroller and car seat. He wanted the Chicco brand, but only because it was the most expensive. He was a first time parent, and for me it was my second child, so I knew what to look for because I had remembered how heavy and awkward my previous carseat had been. I love the weight and the convenience of the Evenflo Aura carseat, compared to what I experienced with the Graco carseat. The handle has the angled center, so you can carry it comfortably, no matter what hand or position you use. The handle also clicks all the way around to become a supported seat, upright, we all know babies get really bored staring straight up! I must admit, I don't like the base for the seat in the car. The level for it shows that it's in the correct position, but our daughters head constantly fell forward. I still, even after 2 mos., have to check her to make sure she didn't fall. It comes with a bumper for support, and it's great, but it only holds her head from...
...

alyssanicole06 says "Fine so far but..." about Evenflo Aura Select Travel System

The Evenflo Aura Select Travel System was purchased for me by my mother off of a website. I am a first time parent and it was a gift for me for my baby shower. My husband and I saw this at a store and liked the design and the mobility of the stroller. It seemed light weight and very easy to handle. It wasn't until after I had my son that I realized the bulkiness of the stroller. The stroller did not fit into the trunk of my car so I was forced to drive with it in my back seat. This made it extremely difficult to get in and out of the car in parking lots so it usually resulted in me parking in the back. I'm sure most would not have a problem with this but unfortunatly I have an extremely small car! Also the tray always falls off and is sometimes a little confusing to get to lock into place. The carrier however is great. It is very light and sturdy. I love the handle on in, it makes holding and walking with it come a lot more natural.
...

I bought this for my first child, and it was the worst thing I did. I thought it would be great becuse my son could fall asleep in the car, and I could just move him from the car the the stroller, no problem. Well it was so hard for me to latch the seat the the stroller he always woke up. Now that he is older we still use the stroller. Just to let you know, we are looking for a new one. The seat does not sit fully up which makes it hard for a 1 1/2 year old to see what is going on arounnd him. We had to put a blanket behind him so his arms could reach the snack tray. It is also very hard for me to but the stroller up and down with a child in my arms. I did not like the evenflo aura travel system and if it was up to me i would never buy another one. My advice is spend the extra money and the the graco car seat and stroller, there is more room, and they are very nice.
...

littlefrisco says "Simple if cumbersome" about Evenflo Aura Select Travel System

We had numerous parents recommend a "travel system" - combination car seat and stroller - when we got pregnant. Evenflo is an established brand and this sytem had received pretty good reviews on a couple of different sites we checked out. We got it as a gift and are really appreciating it. The car seat and stay-in-place base are very convenient, and while the stroller operates fairly simply, it is a bit bulkier and heavier than I anticipated and was a bit difficult for me while recovering from my c-section. With hubby or my mom-in-law with me, though, it's no problem, and should be easier for me once I'm completely healed.
...

I received the Aura travel system as a baby shower present from my mother. I loved the design and thought I loved the travel system itself until I actually used it. The front wheels are awful. When you turn while you're pushing, they get stuck. After using it for only a couple of weeks, the stroller itself seemed to start squeaking and becoming really loose in certain areas.

At the same time, I've been using this stroller for 2 years now and it's still holding up. I'm not really sure I would reccomend it to someone but it's definitely not the worst system I've come across though.
...

strollerDad says "The worst stoller you could inflict upon your baby" about Evenflo Aura Select Travel System

The worst stroller ever. The fact that the snack tray swings open and upside down, dumping anything on the tray onto the floor should you have to open it in an emergency is not the worst of it.
The stroller reclines by why of an attached horizontal mental bar directly behind the baby's head. It is attached to a locking cord with is pulled up or lowered to adjust the recline. The only way to soften it is to place blanket behind the baby's head to try to soften the impact of this bar behind the head. Absolutely inexcusable.
...

I love my baby carrier! It is so cute and practical, I had a hard time finding a carrier that was baby neutral, something I could use for both a boy and a girl, and then I found this carrier and it is perfect. It fits in my car great, and I couldn't beat the price....

The stroller with this travel system was the worst stroller I've ever used. I only had it for about 3 months when the snack tray started to loosen up. Soon it started falling off leaving large, sharp metal rods exposed and pointing directly at my infant. We tried everything and could not keep the snack tray attached. Then, when we folded the stroller to put it in the trunk to take back to the store, the metal rods punctured the fabric of the stroller ripping it all the way down. The store informed us that we would have to contact the Evenflo manufacturer so I emailed Evenflo. I got one of those automated responses back and never actually heard from a real person until weeks later. The representative from Evenflo told us they would replace the plastic piece that holds the snack tray on but we would have to pay shipping and they would not cover the ripped fabric due to the defective part. We ended up getting a new GRACO stroller and just sent the Evenflo to the dump where...
...

I like this stroller. It is easy and quick to use. It is easy to navigate with this stroller and the locking front wheels make "rocking" the baby easy as well. The design is nice and I have received many compliments on it's appearence. This is NOT a top of the line stroller. The wheel already squeaks, and my baby is only two months old. The other downside is that the stroller seat does not lay completely flat so that you have to use the car seat attachment with a very small infant. If you are looking for an inexpensive stroller this may be the one for you....
