Anyone that has read my reviews here on Viewpoints knows that I'm constantly looking for a good floor vacuuming solution. I was pretty happy with my Swivel Sweeper for my Pergo floors, but my regular vacuum cleaner broke, and I needed to replace that. It should be noted again that most of my house is Pergo, the bathrooms and foyer are tile, and that only two of the bedrooms are carpeted. I don't have use for a nice vacuum cleaner.

What I've always wished for was some type of vacuum that would handle all my floors. Sure, a really nice vacuum could do the non-carpeted areas, as well as the carpet, but is that necessary? And I like items such as the Swivel Sweeper that are light enough that I can haul them out to sweep my floors every day. I think I may have backed into a solution finally.

We had cleaned the old Dirt Devil as much as we could, and it still wasn't picking up. We could get it fixed for $40 or so, but what was the point if I could get a replacement for not too much more than...

I have been extremely satisfied with my Eureka Optima vacuum. I have purchased two in six years. The price is below $50.00 and the air filter can be replaced or cleaned easily. I chose this e because it is small, light, and has a great suction. I like the fact that it is easy to dump the container of dirt without having to change bags. The filter is also easy to remove and clean. I have purchased other filters for this so that while I am cleaning one filter, I have a backup. The price was under $14.00 for all replacement parts I've seen. The first Eureka Optima vacuum I bought I had a piece break. It was a piece that holds the filter in place. I am VERY tough on my vacuums and I believe when I dropped it. Other than that, I have noticed the vacuum is very well made and for the 3 years I've owned this particular vacuum, not a single problem has occurred with it. I have only noticed one problem, it needs a longer cord. I have had to attach an extension cord to the...

I got the Eureka Optima Lightweight vaccuum when I moved into my first apartment. I like that it is lightweight since I live in a townhome and have stairs. Also the attachments make it easy to clean tight spaces, like the crevices of the stairs. The brush roll on/off option makes going from carpet to hard woods floors simple. It is easy store and takes up very little space as the handle can be slid down into the unit for a more compact fit. I also like that the handle has a circular shape on top which makes carrying the Optima up and down the stairs a breeze. Not to mention it only weighs 12 pounds, so I don't have to worry about pulling a muscle or tripping over it when going up and down the stairs. The Optima is a great deal and can be found at common retail stores like Target or Wal Mart and is quite affordable. The filters are also easily found at many local stores. I love Eureka's products and feel they are a brand I can trust.

I originally bought this vaccum when we lived in an appartment and didn't have a lot of room. I was extrememly shocked at how well this vaccum does cleaning. It is extremely lightweight (under 12lbs) and the handle is telescopic so it can be stored in small places and makes it easy to carry. I would recomend this vaccum to anyone looking for a cheap introductory no frills vaccum.
