The Epson Stylus RX580 is by far the best printer. The ink will last a long time, and if you run out of one color, you can purchase only that color. My pictures look terrific and the color is bright. I have had no problem with scanning. Printer is easy to use.

I had problems with this printer from the start. First thing out of the box this printer would not recognize the ink cartridge. ( Common problem, I found many others with the same problem online). The Epson support is horrible, and they do NOT have a toll free number to call. The overall print quailty is okay. I wasn't crazy about the picture quality printing. If one color is out, you cannot print ANYTHING until the cartridge is changed. This printer eats ink, and cost was extremely high considering the amount of ink cartridges. I also hated the way this printer scanned documents. The reverse side always showed through on copies. One more thing, everytime I tried to print out something in black and white, it never looked black, only gray.

After having two printers for several years (one for printing photos and one with all-in-one capabilities), I decided to consolidate. My previous photo printer was an Epson and I loved the quality, so opted for the Stylus RX580. I was definitely not disappointed! It has proved EXTREMELY reliable and has had little to no problems for the past 3 years!

My husband and I are avid shutterbugs and we are constantly printing off photos for our families. The photo quality is amazing and we have been very pleased with the speed of printing for both photos and regular printing.

The printer is also a scanner and copier. The scanning is very high quality and the copying feature has definitely been convenient. It has the capibility of PC-free printing from a memory stick, but we import all of our photos into our computer, so we have not really used this feature extensively.

The Epson Stylus Photo RX580 InkJet Printer is just simply an amazing quality product. Previously I was using the older version of the same model printer, the RX600. I used that product for many and many years. In fact, I still use that product sometimes. I bought this RX580 because the RX600 didn't print cd covers. Epson will always be my first choice when it comes to printers.

I use this printer to make copies, print postage, labels, and copy photos. Saves me time and money on gas since I no longer have to run as many errands. Although there are several cartridges to replace, I have found a website where remanufactured black cartridges are available for $15.00 for a set of 3. Color remanufactured cartridges are a little higher, but still affordable....

I love to scrapbook, and when you use a digital camera you have to print the pictures you want to use. This printer is a way to slip in your camera card and pick only the pictures you want for your book. Then, press an button, and within 10 seconds your picture is ready to put in the book. It has fantastic color, and you can also add borders....

This printer was received as a gift, and I was very excited to be able to print my own pictures and to scan items that I sell on ebay.
I get great photos out of this machine, good colors, they are always a bit darker than they look on my computer screen, but that may be that I have a backlit screen, I have not tried hooking it up to a computer with a regular monitor.
It was pretty much ready to go out of the box, but like any other printer that anyone in my family has purchased, it did not come with its own usb cord. I did have a small issue with the pictures not printing straight at first, but after several pictures, it seemed to fix itself. Now I can print almost any size picture that I want, for framing, scrapbooking, or to send to relatives. I have noticed that the price of ink has gone up in the last year, but so has my favorite candy bar and soda.
My biggest issue is with the scanner. It has a feature that is supposed to help with any dust on the screen, but any pictures that I scan...

this printer, it's very good for photo printing especially,low voltage usage and long time warranty ( 3 years!),the highest resolution ( 5760 dpi !)

I purchased this Epson all-in-one to replace another Epson that had "bit the dust." I liked the previous Epson, which affected my decision this time. I am very satisfied with the print quality, whether I am working with documents or photos, and I am a fan of individual ink cartridges so I can replace each one as needed. However, I was shocked at the cost of buying a complete set of Epson replacement ink cartridges (nearly $85.00). Ouch! Plus, the printer is very noisy when in operation. I wish my original Epson was functioning still, because, while the RX580 serves its purpose, it is not the "step up" it should have been....
