boss8760 says "These magazines just piled up on me" about Entertainment Weekly Magazine

Maybe I'm just too busy to read a weekly magazine or to sit and watch T.V all of the time...All I know is that these magazines would pile up on me. Granted I thorougly enjoyed seeing the ratings and the reviews. And I liked that everything from Movies to Books were covered. I guess I just didn't have time for it. If you do have plenty of time for it and watch lots of television this magazine would be great for you. However, I will say that they usually do a great fall lineup every year that previews all of the new shows...but I would just pick that one up at the newsstand.
...

SpokaneMan says "A great magazine for lovers of the Entertainment World." about Entertainment Weekly Magazine

Entertainment Weekly is one of those magazines that people who love the entertainment industry have to have. Covering everything involving pop culture in society right now, it specializes in television and movie entertainment. The news can range from in-depth back stories of films and television, to insider stories about the people celebrities and the people who have made them who they are. It is interesting to say the least, and the best part about the magazine is that you never know what will be the next great story that you get to read. They aren't a gossip magazine like US, but rather rely on factual stories, and interviews with the stars that we love to watch. Instead of hearing about the dirty laundry that is prevalent in a lot of the magazines that are on the market, Entertainment Weekly instead tries to focus on the backgrounds of the celebrities, and how they ended up being idolized by millions of people everywhere. Basically, you get to learn everything that got these people...
...

I love this magazine. It helps me weed out the good movies, books, actors and music from the bad. It is kind of like a good friend, able to tell you the truth and not a lot of fluff. It also gives a good synopsis of what each music, movies, books and actors for the avid person that likes to watch, listen or read on their spare time. Entertainment Magazine is the best!...

Entertainment Weekly is always a bright spot in my mailbox. It's always current, up to the minute, as well as a harbinger of all things entertainment to come. It almost always has an interesting person and/or headline to grab the attention. And since it limits its amount of gossip and sensationalism, it's a refreshing change from the tabloid trash....

EW has a great variety of articles covering everything from movies, TV, books and music. It is also offers you access to their website to get the most up to date information. There is something for everyone. The book reviews are brief but informative and the articles for the upcoming movies give you a great insight into what is in store. I have found the reviews to be accurate. The weekly TV guide is a must to keep you informed of upcoming and returning shows....

I like this magazine because it gives me information about what is going on with TV, books, and movies (they cover music, too, but that's not of much interest to me), with minimal coverage of all of the crazy celebutante hoo-hah that is the bread and butter of other "entertainment" mags. I wanted to know what was up with the writer's strike, what the summer movies will be, what's going on with movies in the making. And that it's written in a fun, intelligent way is a bonus....

My children bring home brochures from school, trying to sell magazines and earn a trip to the MEGA EVENT they hype up for the kids. You feel like you HAVE to buy something, just so your kids can go to this thing! So, I bought Entertainment Weekly because I got a good deal on the magazine. It was one of the least expensive ones they offered.

The magazine isn't bad, you get a head's up on movies and television shows before they actually come out. It's kind of interesting getting a little behind the scenes info on some of the movies on the way out. If your looking for something to challenge your mind, then this magazine isn't it. There's nothing really to it, other than just.......entertainment reviews and advertisements. I think a movie buff would really enjoy Entertainment Weekly, but for me, it's just alright.
...

I unexpectedly started receiving Entertainment Weekly through a free trial. At first, I didn't really enjoy it, but it has grown me and I chose to subscribe. I find it is a great guide for the best of the best of TV, movies, books, music, etc. It is also refreshing that it doesn't focus on celeb gossip. I can admit that I enjoy the gossip from time to time, but seriously, who cares about all the celebs in rehab or the downward spiral that is brittney spears? The cover storys are always what is current in the entertainment industry and cover the issue quite acurately. The articles are interesting for the most part and worth a read. ...

I like EW because it's an entertainment publication that isn't really interested in judging peoples' love lives or scandals or plastic surgeries. EW gives me info on television, cinema, music and books. I'd say I agree with the reviews about 75% of the time, and that's okay as long as they give me the info to make my own decision. The pictures can be stunning. For example the cover of James McAvoy and Keira Knightly from Jan 18? I'm thinking of framing it......

I really like Eentertainment Weekly. It is fun, easy to read, and something I look forward to every week. It's surpisingly affordable too-you can get a year's subscription for $40,

EW doesn't take entertainment too seriously, which I love. it isn't a fawning entertainment magazine, and really tells you what you need to know. It doesn't talk down to its audience, and really respects that we all have different views and tastes. One bone to pick-they hardly ever review romance novels, and so many people read them that this seems like a shame.
...
